Observing, as the grandstanding pioneer tries to make an impression on the peanut gallery who knows damn well that my age is his favorite target. He still can't accept that people see through his phoniness as he continues to prove that he is, indeed, a psychopathic, narcissistic, pathological lying, AGEIST doing his strawman routine. Hummmm. Interesting. Pathetic, but interesting. Predictably, he will continue to try and invoke the ,"power of suggestion" by claiming I haven't proved his glaring guilt. I'll just humor him since it's so important to him to be thought of as a nice guy instead of the shallow AGEIST that he is.

@umbrarchistI think there now are a lot of people lobbying for schools to add practical courses to their curricula, urging that auto shop and home economics classes be restored. They don't call for accounting per se, but they do recommrnd that students learn how to budget their money and manage their bank accounts. There is also a push to return to teaching penmanship. Kids nowadays can't even write in cursive, or tell time on a clock with a face, or dial a rotary phone or even tie their shoes!

Presumably, someone proficient in accounting wouldn't depend on snap benefits.

Little by little all the judges are caving in and, not surprising, the corrupt Supreme Court is accommodating Trump's running rough shod over the Constitution. The Project 2025 agenda is right on schedule, with the element of public apathy as its enabler. Maybe this is the way it's supposed to be. Or perhaps the American Empire, like others before it, will inevitably collapse and its population will go their separate ways. I never took the Black Muslims very seriously but Retrumpicans are blue eyed devils. I think they are descended from Neanderthals who had a different root from Homo Sapiens. Oh, well.

I don't feel I have to further defend the millions of people who took to the streets to register their discontent with the a-hole who currently occupies the office of POTUS. I commend them because when it comes to this issue, they are my tribe. Whether their demonstration thwarts the progress of a fascist take-over or not, I admire them for not standing "idly by" as democracy goes down the tubes. I am actually grateful I probably won't be around to witness the chaos that lies ahead when elections will no longer be held.

Millions of Americans voted against Trump in the last electionAnd millions of Americans did not vote at all. It's debatable as to whether most of the country will be all right with America becoming a fascistic theocracy. At some point there will be a showdown and altho MAGA may win because of superior fire power, there will be substantial opposition and I appreciate those who will have the courage to dissent.

Demonstrations have always been a weapon in movements. As MLK said, they are a way of dramatizing grievances. They are only one part of the protest strategy. I appreciate all of those who took to the streets to register their discontent with Trump and his MAGA agenda. I was with them in spirit!!✊️

@Troy, I think that remark was made after one of my heated exchanges with Pioneer on another thread when I was getting down and dirty instead of complying with his expectation of my acting the lady-like damsel in distress role. When arguing with him I often come out of what I call my "post office bag" when I take on my ,"street" persona. During my 30 years working as a postal clerk at my hometown facility, I encountered many different types of people including thugs which is why I've always said I got my degree in Life studies during my tenure there. This was also during the time back in the 1970s when I was a contributing columnist to a Chicago newspaper, writing articles about the "black experience".LOL.

Not surprising, the only thing I remember about DeAngelo is his name, and a poster - or album cover of him that showed off his beautifully muscular body. It's also now being reported that he didn't like his work being labeled as "neo-soul" but just wanted it to be music that appealed to black folks. His life and death are getting a lot of coverage on all the TV entertainment "magazine" shows, even mention on the nation network news as well. Tributes are pouring in from all the successful black musicians who were inspired by him including Lauren Hill, his contemporary. Nile Rogers claimed DeAngelo consulted him for advice early in his career and asked him to critique his work. After checking out the cuts, Nile told him they were all album worthy.
