@Troy. I guess my sarcasm was lost on you, I wasn't serious about the gods "singling me out". I was just establishing a lead-in to compare pioneer to an innocuous nuisance gnat who flits around annoying people. Sara was the poster who I would get into it with back in the day, and with good reason. She would come at me and I refused to let her ageist insults go unanswered. The reason you banned her was because she called me a "nigger bitch". Even Mzuri and I clashed because she tried to portray me as a lonely ol "cat lady", and lied about me saying I used to sling bags at the post office, even searching through the archives to back up this claim but couldn't find any proof of her false allegation. All of this was aided and abetted by pioneer, I might add. And of course there was Kola Boof. That's where I got my combat stripes. Those were the good ol days. Actually, we had a love-hate relationship because she was so mercurial. When she found out how old I was she wanted to pay me homage. Even sent me one of her books. I don't even know where to start when it comes to pioneer. 🤮 Always trying to portray himself as just kiddin' after he does his malicious dirty work, lying and exaggerating and even trying to gaslight me. I have nothing but CONTEMPT for this treacherous pest. 'Have aways found him irritating although he thinks differently because that's not the scenario he creates in his warped little narcissist world. He's really a piece of work. Glad I don't have to be around him. All I'll say in defense of myself is that I don't start stuff. Nor do I back down when I am provoked. Whatever. Let the chips fall where they may. @ProfDthese swarmimg kids vandalizing the down town loop area in Chicago are costing the city not only money but prestiege. It is bad for tourism and Chicago's reputation as a world class city and it discourages merchants from wanting to locate their stores in this business district. It seems the school-aged kid shootings are individualized and more about bullying and grudges than gang banging. Black gangs in Chicagoland are very fragmented, and disputes are mostly about drug turfs. The Hispanic Gangs are more organized and widespread. Robbery, burglary and car jackings make up most of the crimes.

In Chicago, there already was a 10 o'clock curfew in effect and the issue was whether or not to change it to 8 o'clock. That's my understanding. Nobody benefits from the curfews more than the kids, themselves, because they are the ones carrying guns and shooting each other. Almost EVERY day a young black person becomes a victim of gun shot wounds. Even ones sitting inside of their homes. Nothing seems to deter this crime. Not only are babies having babies, but now it's babies killin babies. There are after school programs and neighborhood watch groups and church involvement but the beat goes on...

@TroyYes, America will survive. But democracy won't. It was an experiment that just fizzled out and will probably be replaced with a government heavily influenced by fascism and religion - and artificial intelligence. I just don't expect to be around when the phoenix rises from the ashes.

The lunch counters in the FW Woolworth dime stores are right up there with Rosa Parks and the bus boycotts when it comes to the history of the Civil Rights movement during the 1950s. In the South, of course, blacks were not served at these eateries, and that's when the famous sit-in demonstrations began. College students from all over the south organized and started showing up at these Dime stores, taking up spaces on the stools at the counters, requesting to be served. In the process of being refused, they were attacked, spat upon and dragged out by police but new teams would show up everyday. This went on for a whole summer as the movement gained national attention. It took a few more years before these Jim Crow laws were finally abolished.

I would be remiss I didn't acknowledge pioneer's predictable input to this post as he tried, as usual, to control the narrative in order to make sure he comes across as the object of my adoring "squinty eyes". And what would Ressurection day be like If we didn't celebrate this narcissistic zombie? Here, in all of his Easter finery, is pioneer - the self-appointed fashion icon! @TroyYes that video is of the segment that appeared on Bill Maher's last show. I could really relate to it because that's the way factories used to be when I was growing up. They were the lifeblood of small towns as was the case in my little midwestern suburb where everybody's daddy worked at the local Can factory. Fast-forward to 2025, and you couldn't find a more typical representation of a GenZer than my 20 year old great-grandson. smh Bill Maher made his fortune doing stand-up comedy. He still tours all over the country doing his schtik. He parlayed this skill into being a political pundit. He claims he contributed a million dollars to Obama's presidential campaign. I think he's been approached about running for office but, like Mark Cuban, he took a pass. To me, sportscaster Stephen A. Smith is his black counterpart.

The Dollar Tree concept is not a new one. Waaaay back in the day there were Dime stores aka 5&10 cents stores. And they occupy a special place in the annals of Americana. Millionaire Industrialist F. W. Woolworth made his fortune on these stores. They were especially popular during the Depression, as you can imagine, when a dollar went a long way..

Well, Bill Maher has maintained his aplomb and staved off all the criticism of his visit to tRump and what he had to say sbout it.. I watched his show last night, and I aint mad at Bill. The bit he did on MAGAs and GenZers was so hilarious and spot on. Poor America. Glad it aint my country.

I see where Gayle King and her fellow passengers on the space capsule are being greeted with jeers instead of cheers by social media haters, one of whom described the lip stick crew as nothing more than a “rich lady brunch in flight” Gail has been pushing back at such dismissals, seemingly very indignant that people aren't impressed with how much courage it took to make the trip. There are also rumors that CBS is looking into the deal Gail cut with the company that's in the business of making these flights available to the public. Seems like she got a hefty fee to lend her name to what amounted to nothing more than a publicity stunt although Gayle insists she is now entitled to be referred to as an "astronaut", - and her job might be in jeopardy because her deal could be considered "bribery". 😳 Elsewhere, The View crew has been on a week hiatus and replaced by reruns, leaving industry insiders to wonder whether their daily slamming of Trump and his minions and the libel suit this has generated might cause heads to roll. 🫨 Stay tuned. @TroyLOL It is typical soap opera fare from what I can gather.I have no idea what the plot is actually about. I check it out a couple of times a week just to look at the people and the high fashion and the glorification of the black bougie lifestyle.

@ProfDI was wonderlring if I was the only one who was distracted by those awful horsehair auburn wigs that Gayle plops on her head. LOL Her bff Oprah was present at the outer space lift-off to lend Gayle her moral support, even shedding a few tears over the implication of this auspicious occasion. One thing you can say about Oprah is that, like Chaka Khan, she's got a great head full of naturally long abundant hair And doesn't need a wig. And she's lookin great to be 70.. After taking that weight-lost pill, she's down to her fighting weght. Katt Williams cracked that Oprah swallowed so many of them that Gayle lost 20 lbs! Something she needed to do becauses she had really become a healthy specimen of the bovine breed. If you're looking for eye candy you should watch "Beyond the Gates," the new afternoon black soap opera on CBS. It's really a show case for the beautiful people - all dressed to the nines. I've never seen so many fine black men in one place in all my life! And, oh yeah the sistas are also gorgeous.
