Different strokes for different folks
Troy replied to aka Contrarian's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
@Delano it is harder to make smart, older people laugh. -
Oh, I’ve seen more of this. But I don’t think the foreign Bourne women have an advantage over the homegrown sisters. Sometimes a woman from the Caribbean has a leg up as dudes sometimes find their accent, sexy. Stereotypes are based upon stereotypes. Just because you find one doesn’t mean they’re all like that. I bet if we went to China right now I’m better at math than the majority of Chinese people in China and I’m not that good at math, I have just studied a lot of it. While less than 20% of Chinese people have graduated from college. Would you look at me and say that Black people are better at math in Chinese people? So I guess it depends on what you call a fact. I just gave you a fact that conflicts with a stereotype. The actual fact is Black people in Chinese people on taking as a group very likely have negligible differences in mathematical aptitude all things being equal.

Yeah, I’ll buy that. -
No, not one. I do know some brothers who married European women, but they are either childless or made their own babies. Of course it’s perfectly fine to relate your personal experiences, but to extend those to the general population, it’s never a good idea. In the same way that you like stereotypes. Of course you’ll find people that will fit a stereotype, but they’re actually some white boys who run faster, are better Ballers, who dance better, and better endowed than a the average brother. Likewise, there are brothers who are stingier than Jewish people, who are better at math than Chinese people, and who like to read

To prove that Black men were the best lovers and most well endowed

Yeah Thelma is stacked. I took a photo with her some years back. It should be on my site somewhere…,

How many guys are we talking about Pioneer, five, a dozen? The problem with your reasoning here is that this is just your personal experience, anecdotes. It’s not data. You’ve heard the story about the blind people feeling different parts of the elephant and coming away with a completely different understanding of what the animal is? Your personal experience is analogous to this so you touching the elephants tusk and thinking the whole elephant is smooth and hard, get it?

Sorry, I thought that was obvious no, of course not. I missed that question. I don’t think so but I guess it depends on what you mean by it.. A ”little something?” Dude you said you read the book multiple times and parts of it in various languages that’s more than a little something.

White men generally look older than Black people of the same age and he looks just straight up younger than her so I’m not surprised he’s younger.
-
If she wind, that would be quite an accomplishment.

Now that you mention it, I have heard this before. John Oliver did a segment on it with news anchors, saying it and complained. They didn’t know what it meant.. You explained what it meant, but I still don’t get it. I guess my brain needs to understand it’s ovation like why is 6/7 anonymous with duh? Not in my opinion. Keep in mind many of the pictures you see of them have been optimized. They’re not exactly candid shots.. Now I’m not saying the sisters look bad. I’m just saying they don’t look like 20 year-old women. in fact, in the photo that you just shared, the white boy looks younger as she does do you know their respective ages? I would not be surprised if he’s actually younger. @Pioneer1 do you look at successful black men who have married white women and want to find you a white woman because that’s what they did? I know humans are generally pretty dumb, but you are giving him zero credit. You may want to emulate someone who successful in a specific field and completely ignore who they’ve chosen as a partner. Women who want to be a professional tennis player can aspire to be like Serena and also understand her partner has absolutely nothing to do. What with what made her successful in tennis.

Yes, this and everything else you wrote help make my point and our conversation about the relative influence of religion versus social media. You’ve invested enough time to read the book multiple times in various languages, and you often quote it to support an argument. To dedicate so much time and effort in it and claim you’re not religious, you must get something out of it. What is it then?

I’d argue that point. Many religious people say they are religious, but that’s all they do., attest to a belief. They don’t regularly attend services or do anything to support their belief. Social media on the other hand is actively used by the majority of people on the planet. Some estimates say 2/3 to 70% of the people on earth are active on social media. I don’t think the same percentage of the planet even goes to a mosque, church synagogue or temple on a weekly basis and if they do, I guarantee you a substantial portion have their phones out scrolling through TikTok while they are there Globally religion is on the decline and social media usage is on the rise. -
Cynthia Erivo: Disgracing The Black Woman
Troy replied to Pioneer1's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
in the first photo, she’s wearing a dress and looking like Trinity from the matrix. In the second photo, she’s wearing stilettos, earrings, long painted fingernails, a necklace, tattoos, are butterflies and another feminine imagery. I don’t see all the muscles pioneers talking about she’s a petite and an excellent physical condition. She looks more like a woman than a man to me. I did not know she was lesbian until AKA mentioned it just now. Maybe that is why GQ put her in that “man issue” I don’t think that’s a particularly good look, but I don’t care about the magazine. I think positioning Cynthia that way was more of an effort to attract attention. (It worked on Pioneer) than a diabolical plan by the mysterious “They” to masculinize Black women. Even if it was a plan, it’s failing miserably as there are plenty of female, presenting, cis-gender, man loving, black women out there. This is an example of making a mountain out of a molehill a social media, fueled frenzy in increasing white-boy wealth. -
I had not heard these stories. I tried to look them up one that kept coming up was about Trey. Reuters report he committed suicide https://www.reuters.com/world/us/autopsy-rules-death-black-man-found-hanging-tree-mississippi-suicide-police-say-2025-09-19/ Does anyone buy that? Why or why not? What about the other two?

Social media is more influential than religion and probably more powerful. It is definitely the new gospel. -
Because they/we are. it doesn’t. There is a big difference between social media and the national enquirer you have to go out your way to pick up and pay for that Newspaper. Social media is “free” constantly with you and aggressively hacking into your brain. I don’t know too many people who are driven to suicide by the national enquirer. You and I were adults before the advent of social media and I believe this makes us less susceptible to it, but not immune. I think the difference between you and I is that I’m more involved with the tech and engage with far more people involved with it, so I believe I see the effects more than you do and I believe I’ve read and studied the subject more as well. Please define what this means?

I would not be surprised if the current president does not serve out his full term.

National Parks no Longer Free on Black Holidays
Troy replied to ProfD's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
Yeah, I was one of those Black folks that did not think Trump is merely a racist. He is greedy, narcissistic, and showing signs of cognitive decline but racism is only a tool to advance his wealth, another arrow in his quiver so to speak. Yeah, making the parks no longer free on the black holidays is very petty at best and racist at worst. I’d say the action is both petty and racist designed to appeal to the mega base, which would include all white racists. I guess if it looks like a racist, acts like a racist, talks like a racist then I it’s a racist, huh? Occam’s razor. I heard this story and June 14 corresponds with flag day — though not a national holiday but when you’re a narcissist…. -
Jan 6th Pipe Bomb Suspect Arrested & Confessed
Troy replied to ProfD's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
Yeah, I guess you’re right about this; to some people kissing dogs in their mouth and sleeping with them in the bed makes sense… Both the brother’s actions and reasoning defy logic and make no sense — unless of course you’re illogical or insane. @Pioneer1 I don’t think any of your linguistic and rhetorical contortions will change any of this.
