The Civil Rights movement and post-legislation did little more than encouraged voting rights for Blacks; inclusion to distinguish who takes control of the reins of power that, to this day, still doesn’t include Blacks. Indeed, the law has only justified disparities the entire country now face; the Constitution as a preface is the root of economic, social, and political evils in America. The binding custom or practice of a community; rules of conduct or action prescribed or formally recognized as binding or enforced by the controlling authority (the law) was conceived as a means to protect property rights of the wealthy. Plutocracy is alive and well in America, always has been, and will continue. Do you actually believe it is the law that prescribes Mueller’s investigation, or dictates of methods for the other side to politick? Now, Mueller is not there for show-n-tell, or to even convict the guilty. The man is there to preserve the (ever unworkable) concept of Democracy. The chain of events involving fear is going to get DT removed, regardless whether such action has never happened before; there’s a first time for everything. Even if it means enacting new legislation to include ‘indicting’ a sitting President, or amending a standing legislation. The U.S. Government, though, it has powers of any powerful State, is a two-bit Corporation organized to control the citizens and to justify the supreme rule of the land. It needs to further justify itself, in the public eyes, that their laws under democratic precepts prevail no matter what. The powers that be (unseen hands) are getting all they need, events surrounding Cohen, Manafort, and others is necessary to shut down one thing and widen another thing are the events that point to DT’s removal before 2019. You might want to start reviewing all versions of current events before you ask "what events has happened."

Is, in fact, THE question. whether DT will remain in office beyond 2019 (December 31, 2018); for the sake of the wager; whether or not he completes his (FULL) first term in office is 'an entirely different question.' I applaud your optimism, though, for the sake of your favorite charity - and perils of all else; but I also notice, your lack of convincing argument, for the sake of my favorite charity and America, I just can't see DT remaining in office past 2019, or should I say November Midterms. At what point does, or have the law, ever played a role in political justice? I'm still banking on human nature and self-preservation and the direction of events in U.S. politics.
  3. @Troy: Current events mean potential disaster for not only DT, but Pence, Don Jr., Ivanka, Jeff Sessions, Nunes, and a host of other officials. We must still wait and see what transpires, I too, am waiting. With Midterms, less than two months away, even without a ‘blue-wave” are you still confident Trump will remain in office past 2019? I think my monthly contribution to one of my pet charities is going to get a double donation before 2019, thanks to your skepticism!
  4. You are not wrong; is it pessimistic only to focus on people's internal disorder, difficulty to change, or is it true that humans want to see that one component of truth; or both? Beliefs, customs, etc. influence culture-bound limitations but they are not beliefs of themselves. And, there's no news reporter, scientist, or researcher who can completely separate her/his self from their work; no matter how obvious a fact or truth. You've verified both your own as well as my point.
  5. Fair enough, though the truth is so whether in nature or of people and events. It's more than philosophical, or phenomena when the senses interpret news reports one way and the truth is something else. Back to the point: adversely, if political science, economics, and the rule of law show Donald Trump maintaining his presidency up to 2019 and events show something else; what is the truth? The problem is when consumers of news take in information and conclude "we'll wait and see" even as the objective fact remain elusive. Not you, me, nor anyone may never know the facts about what is the common good, except for what we believe which may not be good despite of being common. News reports coupled with internal instincts (views and beliefs) may prove even less truthful.
  6. "Thinking for one's self" through the sensory organ for vision (the eyes) the 'sky is blue' is equally true as the scientific explanation of color sensitivity which without explains the sky is, in reality, violet or grey. Both can be true, yes? Or, am I being dogmatic?
  7. I see, so you submit that one's standards and views aligned with the information consumed are (can be) acceptable, objective truths, for that person? Perhaps. But I ask, does a White nationalist who watches Fox News or Breitbart really get the objective truths any more than a liberal democrat who consumes MSNC or the Washington Post?
  8. @Cynique Easier said than done, do you agree? There's no undoing the truth; it is, however, subject to various POV's. I never accepted clever arguments of 'alternative facts or truths' meant to distract from the reality. Deliberate falsehoods are lies and lies can never lose the negative connotations attached to them; Kellyanne Conway's delusional interpretations of the truth isn't a mistake; she's taken her to freedom to think for herself and offered it up to persuade as a logical way to see things. e.g., 'Donald Trump is a racist whose policies and pronouncements empower White nationalists.' And, 'Black folks without exposure to higher education have no valid complaint about marginalization in America.' No alternative POV can remove the negative connotation behind these truths; arguments questioning the existence of White Nationalists and/or whether racism and lack of education marginalize Blacks - does not alter the truth. True, knowing weather patterns for the day, dangerous cities, and candidate platforms are crucial to decision making, Journalist easily convey news reports that could render them incomplete, thus an 'alternative fact' because people fill in the blanks at their leisure. Imagine a Black parent with small children consumes a news report about children dying from vaccination shots; leave out a few important facts and you have mass panic that subjects those children to life-threatening viruses.
  9. Consumers of news reporting (believers in climate change, etc.) are considered advocates of democracy, people who find no value in consuming news are considered fascist sympathizers (deniers of facts ); at least that seems to be the case. Do you think there's a middle ground?
  10. @Troy Black folks (we) do a disservice to ourselves by relying too much on news reporting, even more so to social media. All the news networks effect and influence us in both positive and negative ways. Whether it is forming opinions about social control mechanisms, reeling in our support, or advocating against each other under the guise of law and order; even though we lack primer information related to important social matters beforehand. In fewer words, we fail to think for ourselves first, before consuming news reports; and when we attempt to so, it's usually from some pre-established misguided premise. Data (or quantitative) information is traditionally available as privileged access to a linguistically made up social world. Contents of such data, scientific or not, is often, more than not, taken out of context or misconstrued especially if there's no solid foundation for absorbing it. Journalists and the scientific community master linguistic techniques to report whatever they desire in whatever way that serves their purpose. A marginalized Black person may be subject to misguidance when consuming information about racism without first understanding basic aspects of sociology and her/his own psychological pact. "An impossible task" as you assert is just another issue, of many, why relying on news reporting is an abhorrence to news, information unknown. Precisely my point, sister. Imagining a truth without, or worse, with a made-up mind. No one can ever truly be free of culture-bound influences whether reporting information or consuming it. What to do? Think for yourself based on empirical experiences; after all, what else can go wrong?.

  12. @Troy You've made it clear you don't stand behind Trump, on anything, as you rightly denounce CNN. I disagree, however, they have no adverse effect on Black Folk. News networks need not mention the word Black to adversely affect us. They all report fake news whenever convenient; some more than others.
  13. Thanks, MaCain was a fine pilot, though the company he kept, Sarah Palin and the GOP, does reflect some of his character traits. The whole country should hate 45 for his disrespect of McCain's heroism.
  14. @Troy Throw in a tad of creativity, even if it doesn't work, Trump sets the tone even the best of us will try to duplicate, if not outright follow. As a Viet Nam era veteran myself, I held MaCain in the highest regard; also, being from Alaska, I can say, first-hand, Sarah Palin's an extreme republican who duped many Black businesses to support her and turned on them when she campaigned with McCain in 2008. I respect the man but there's truth in 'birds of a feather.' If I recall speaking with Business leaders correctly, man, you wouldn't believe the enthusiasm which they spoke of her; as if she was their White savior. It's more than envy though, what 45 is doing to the country, race-baiting division, plutocratic governance, etc., illuminates the dark side of how I feel, personally. Sister Cynique is right, what will be, will be; and you're right too, the worse is yet to come.
  15. @Cynique Is just one way of looking at it; another perspective is America (and all other nations) have been heading towards destruction since humans first started keeping records. I seriously doubt anyone can imagine what a better America would look like let alone describe it. There won't be a 'better,' only a slow burn and the beauty are in the ashes left behind. Pessimism intended. Yes, Trump is going down before 2019 which will only merge with the downward spiral already sucking in misdirected people. Have matters really changed, or simply adjusted in degrees and levels of intensity? Even nature has turned against us. @Troy Careful, you're starting to sound like me! That's true, I think people envy 45 more than they want him out, and that includes Black folks. It isn't in man's nature to love one another or act differently.
  16. It's nice being (almost) right, but it's even better when one's dark imagination is fueled with factual possibilities. The takeaway here is the possibility of impeachment as a last-ditch effort to save the GOP (survival), Trump's resignation to save his crime family or, assassination to fuel social unrest (race riots, etc.). Removal before 2019 (by any means necessary) is becoming more apparent daily, slowly eating away at the 55-45% chance of DT remaining in office. Some Republican House members are discussing for the first time what would have to happen for them to seek to impeach President Donald Trump. “Back home among their constituents, some Republicans are dropping the I word.” Nobody has jumped to any conclusions yet about whether Trump should face impeachment, of course, but at least it is being discussed. Some GOP Members of Congress have spoken openly the past few days about the prospect of impeaching the president. “We’ve got to wait for the investigations to finish, House, Senate, and more,” North Carolina Rep. Walter Jones, who has criticized Trump’s remarks in the past, told WITN. “At whatever point, if it’s justified, that they recommend impeachment, then that would be on the table.” On Thursday Michigan Rep. Justin Amash tweeted that the criminal allegations against Trump are “serious and should be taken seriously, especially by members of Congress.”
  17. The one objective commonality among every single person alive is self-preservation, that is unless the person has a severe mental illness. And even the worse of mentally ill persons possess a need to preserve notions of her/his reality. It is important to factor in factual motive(s) that move people to act when attempting to foretell an event involving politics of persuasion; what’s at stake. In governments around the world, especially in America, truths and falsehoods have emerged to create a new reality; a hybrid of ‘alternative facts’ of sorts. Under the guise of “by any means necessary or the road not taken” serve as both a justification and formality of self-preservation. Proponents of Donald Trump, in essence, offer he can’t be indicted as a criminal because he’s every right to politic (persuade) to win an election or get whatever he wants, including steal money or collude as they all have done; and if he’s not allowed, ‘whataboutism’ validates any criminal actions. Critics say laws and legislation won’t allow it to indict a sitting president. But even motives and maintaining the image of democracy (rule of law) has its limits. The most ardent reader can’t know the end of a story until they reach the end. Characters, conflicts, and plot are good indicators of how a story may end, however. Damn be democracy when friends and family are at stake; damn be a democracy and friends when the family is at stake; and damn be everything and everyone when self is in jeopardy. Stand-up guy Paul Manafort, frightened angry Michael Cohen, opportunistic Omarose Newman, xenophobic Sean Hannity, defeated sell-out Paris Dannon, and others are irrelevant invisible figures in self-preservation. YES, I believe DT will resign, get assassinated, or be removed due to a mental breakdown before 2019; or more final extreme of Congress and the DOJ ignoring the rule of law by actually indicting him for treason and imprison him.
  18. Yes, sister but the stakes have risen now; I too suggested that the solution rested with Congress and DOJ, not anymore. NY State Penal Code Article 20 (can now) place the matter in hands of NY State and local authorities due to Cohen's admissions and implication of the President in high crimes. If for nothing more than indicting DT's family members, which have the possibility of forcing him to resign. Congress, DT, nor the US Constitution forbid NY from pursuing investigations and indictments. Maybe, but the bank isn't open yet, and this isn't babies eating candy. Chances of you winning gentlemen's contest are being slowly eroded by new developments every day, every hour even. Paul Ryan and the GOP are up against the wall right now, criminal as they all are, their self-preservation is imminent, for the sake of their party. Indeed, any reasonable person would allow concession for what probability of all things considered possible.
  19. Troy, even the toughest of surfaces can take only so many blows before destruction; the Teflon Don isn't a tough surface. For now yes, I agree there's about 55-45% chance he'll remain throughout 2018, but all the blows yet to come, considering his apparent desperation as well as the GOP's logic, DT could be impeached and indicted before 2019, resign, or drop dead from a heart attack. Yeah, about 55-45% chance, for now, matters are increasingly eating away at his chance of making it through 2019.

Sister, @Cynique, even the most applauding behavior is iffy for impeachment at this point; the power of the people is declared in the first three words of the US Constitution. ‘Founding Principles in the ‘Declaration of Independence’: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights …” Viewed as a power of the people being derived from God, this is completely open to interpretation; especially since little the US does involve right life and living. So-called ‘integrity’ is the premise the founders tried to base their opinions(s), indeed, white men attempting to exercise human intellect to rule. Also greatly flawed. Impeachment of a US President today has taken on a whole new definition of a compromise version allowing impeachment for "treason, bribery and other high crimes and misdemeanors.” Meaning, 2020 election proceedings replacement of the DT through the ‘will’ of the people is actually the real democratic process. Currently, the people want DT, not all or even most is apparently unnecessary. What can happen after he’s replaced is anybody’s guess? Congress will do little to nothing until 2020. I believe this is something brother @Troy attempted to explain a few months ago. There are no "events" that can predict DT's reign including him actually handing over America to Russia, it that's what the people want. And there's no way to know what the people want until they vote!
  21. Okay, his numbers continue to fluctuate; I get my data statistical data from Gallup; as of April 2018 DT's 're-election' supporters are the same Obama's were - at 37% across the country. Thanks!

  23. Not only that but Trump's base has been sensitized to the investigation, international affairs, and sexism. If he goes to prison, and that's a big if, it'll be a 'halfway' like camp or minimum security. Correction brother, 'July is over,' for all intense and purposes; nothing is going to happen to DT in July. Any prediction DT will face serious repercussions before the New Year is as ridiculous as the predictor. Absolutely! Impeachment is virtually off the table at this point; a criminal indictment will take another year, or two, and even if Dem's take back control of the house, even the new president, Democrat or Republican will most likely pardon DT, or other exonerate him to avoid a historical embarrassment.
  24. In any case, if true, it's a damn good conspiracy; and no-one can say it's not working! Indeed, the elders of Zion knew what they were doing, understood functions of State, mentalities of the people, and how to confidently manipulate their own into global compliance.
  25. Yes, sister, Cynique, “participant observation, empirical, qualitative/quantitative” are the best-known methods of learning about things unknown. I’ve yet to see actual moving images of Israeli armed forces forcing families out of their homes mid-night and then blowing-up those homes the next day to build settlements for Jewish settlers, or military snipers shooting children standing in their windows. YEAH, I didn’t believe it either until I saw it with my own two eyes. Then, and only then was I encouraged to go read, find out why these things were happening.
