Pioneer1
Oooooh lord.........here it is. I saw that one in the news earlier. I was feeling kind of happy for the sista that Newsome selected her to fill Feinstein's seat........UNTIL you dropped the "LGBT" bit, lol. Florida Evans said..... Couldn't have been just a regular ole typical educated Black woman. Just HAD to get somebody out of the queer community. Man... if these devils ain't promoting a sista with a White man -then they're promoting a sista who's "funny"....."queerd"....."a-sexual"......"questionable". Just can't give a normal well balanced professional sista a job.

White media was more than enthusiastic to put her business out there too. Other than Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg being heavy in the LBGTQ+ community...the white media is reluctant to broadcast white folks from that community. However, as soon as an AfroAmerican is a member of the alphabet soup community, they're put on blast. Anything anti-Black which includes promoting the alphabet soup community and allowing *illegal* immigration is another tool of racism white supremacy. Pioneer1
ProfD Other than Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg being heavy in the LBGTQ+ community...the white media is reluctant to broadcast white folks from that community. Well, his last name is pronounced "Booty Jig". That should have been one of the first indications of his orientation when he hit the national spotlight. nels If she's part of the LGBTQIA+ community, then she IS "qualified".......atleast for the agenda they're pushing. The thing about White racists.... they love to promote whoever will disgrace and humiliate the image of AfroAmericans regardless of their political affiliation, religion, gender, etc.... As long as they're a fool, weird, have some sort of sexual perversion, super ugly.....any dysfunction....White racists will promote the hell out of them. That's the ONLY qualification they need: Just be dysfunctional. Infact, that's one of the reasons they hated your favorite President Obama so much. He didn't do a lot for us, but he was such a full package and they couldn't find anything "on" him. Handsome, well educated, had a Black wife (who wasn't fat or loud or obnoxious) , nice kids who weren't getting into trouble, HE didn't get into trouble, ect.... DAMN....they just couldn't find ANYTHING on the brother so they had to start MAKING UP things on him, lol. "He's a Muslim! He's a Communist! He wasn't born in America, he was born in Afghanistan! His wife is really a man! He smokes cigarettes...just look at him! He's....he's....he's.....he's UNAMERICAN that's what he his!!!!" Just...anything they could think of.....SAY IT, lol. KENNETH
Her sexual orientation has nothing to do with her ability and it's not pulling black people down in any way. LGBTQ people are just as much part of the black community as anybody. We've got to move beyond the idea that authentic blackness whatever that may be is only straight male cisgendered and patriarchal. My only concern is that Barabara Lee whose been in the House for several years and lives in California wasn't chosen. But this woman has a strong background in labor and community organizing in addition to abortion rights. Give her a chance. She might surprise us in a good way. I knew she was in congress but for some reason thought she represented Texas, not California. As far as Laphonza's sexual orientation.............. Under ordinary circumstances I would agree with you that her sexual orientation has NOTHING to do with her ability to serve in her capacity as Senator. However when taken into CONTEXT of other AfroAmerican politicians who have been appointed lately, her appointment begs several questions....... 1. She was APPOINTED, not elected. Black folks used to run for office and win the election, now so many need some White man to "appoint" them and "give" them a position of authority or else they don't get in. Why? 2. Why are most of the Black folks being "appointed" to these various positions by White politicians either a) Homosexual? b) A-sexual....having no significant other or no history of having one? c)Married to a White spouse? Where as historically, nearly all of the Black folks who ran for office and won by being elected BY OUR PEOPLE (not appointed by some White man with his OWN agenda), were Black men and women married to other Black women and men and were raising healthy Black children as good examples of healthy Black families- Now a days, most of these Black folks being APPOINTED and PROMOTED by these White politicians are "queer" and "gay" or have some sort of questionable sexual asterisk by their names or are inlove with some White person who is in the background influencing their positions. Like Arsenio Hall, these are things that make you go HMMMM....... If you notice patterns, you almost CAN'T HELP but to notice these.
