ProfD
https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4487980-byron-donalds-defends-trumps-remarks-on-black-voters-this-is-something-similar/ The latest bootlick to emerge in defending the former POTUS is Rep. Byron Donalds (Florida). Former POTUS made a comment suggesting that because of his four criminal indictments empathic Black voters are more likely to support him. Neither former POTUS Orange Julius nor bootlick Rep. Donalds realizes most Black voters aren't felons or ex-convicts. It's rumored that Rep. Donalds could be a potential VP running mate. Just like Sen. Tim Scott, Black folks can see the shoe polish around these dudes lips. Both Rep. Donalds and Sen. Scott are from the south. That part of the country seems to breed a special kind of bootlick. Doesn't matter to the former POTUS...he will break those tools like #2 pencils when he's done using them. Troy
I copied the offending quote Black voters are more likely to support him after his criminal indictments because they too have “been hurt so badly and discriminated against.” I don’t know man, there’s so many things to beat Donald Trump on. This is not one of them. It is not racist to try to find some common ground on being mistreated by the police. Everybody knows Black people have been disproportionately incarcerated, hyper policed, and treated with a heavy hand when it comes to the criminal justice system. Now, of course, Trump‘s analogy is profoundly flawed as any black man with his record would never have been elected president and would be under the jail right now. ProfD
The false equivalence blares like a neon sign. Every time the former POTUS tries appealing to Black voters it's from a position of condescension. The 1st time Orange Julius told Black folks they might as well vote for him because Democrats haven't done anything for us. Black folks should absolutely call a blatant racist out everytime they come with that BS. Especially if that particular racist wants to run the country. Silence is complicity. As Bumpy Knuckles aka Freddy Foxxx would say..."No, I ain't wit it".
Troy
I went to YouTube to find a video of the San Antonio Book Festival and the very next video that popped up in my feed was a video of Trump with this quote in context. The quote in full context is too absurd to be described as racist that would be reductive. Too bad the media is playing directly into Trumps hands (again) and the algorithms amplifies all of this nonsense. Of course, I'm amplifying the nonsense too , but I am trying to make a point. Here you have a United States President and the spokes man for Black America I stopped watching after the aforementioned quote.
ProfD
The edited video doesn't help the former POTUS nor does it hide his racism. He said Black folks spend $19 on t-shirts bearing his likeness and millions have sold. The man is a clown and a comedian rolled into one.
ProfD
Doubling down on dumb, the former POTUS son (Don Jr.) has come out with an equally ridiculous claim that African-American men hail him as their hero.

ProfD
The real question is why are AfroAmerican voters always being singled out when it's POTUS election season. We don't see and hear politicians pandering to any other group of people. There is no Asian or Latino Rock the Vote the campaign. POTUS candidates aren't holding rallies in Chinatown or showing up to baseball and soccer games begging for minority votes. Sure enough, you'll see POTUS candidates in Black churches or some other AfroAmerican event for photo-ops. Those candidates will show up with a bottle of hot sauce pretending they know how to eat fried chicken, greens, potato salad and chitlins. It will be someone like the aforementioned bootlick or Rep. Jim Clyburn the sharecropper who will be the town crier and head usher escorting candidates around.
Pioneer1
Troy beat me to the punch on this issue.......... When I first started hearing this in the media I said "here he goes again" with his racist shit. But I still did a little research anyway so I could read the statement for myself and see how bold did he get this time and I read: "And then I got indicted a second time and a third time and a fourth time. And a lot of people said that that's why the Black people like me because they have been hurt so badly and discriminated against," Trump said. "They actually viewed me as I'm being discriminated against." Trump comments on Black voters draw rebuke from Haley, Democrats | Reuters This in and of itself wasn't a racist statement in my opinion but: 1. It leads one to believe that "Black people like him"...which is for the most part erroneous because MOST Black people don't like or support him 2. The Left and Democrats in general...if they are smart...could use this for future ammunition against Republicans who are constantly denying racism and discrimination in this society. Hell, your own leader is up here talking about it and sympathizing with AfroAmericans over their mistreatment and admits to our people being hurt so badly and discriminated against. Infact....this COULD be ammunition for a Reparations demand should he get back in office!

But, former POTUS Orange Julius (POJ) doesn't get a pass because AfroAmericans know exactly what he's implying in that statement. Then, POJ has enough sycophant n8gglets around trying to justify and legitimize his BS to Black folks. F8ck POJ and those shoes and that Tang kool-aid he's peddling.
