As I've mentioned many times before, if Obama wanted ME (as a Black man) to vote....he should have encouraged his wife to run for office...lol.

I usually take what Barry says with a grain of salt because he held down 2 terms with no scandals and made AfroAmericans look better in the eyes of the world...although he did little us for us.
However I'm getting a little tired of him and others pointing the finger at Black American men and attempting to scold them for not voting when they don't go out of their way to give our people anything to vote FOR.

Besides putting more AfroAmericans in office....which "looks" good on the surface....the Democrat Party as a whole hasn't really given any "goodies" to AfroAmericans since the 70s.
Infact, as the Republicans like Reagan and others have taken away many of our tangible benefits, most Democrats have stood by idly and watched and played helpless.

The Democratic Leadership won't even PATRONIZE or PANDER to Black men, even though we know it would be fake and they wouldn't deliver on most of what they say.
But they won't even show us enough respect to even TELL us what we want to hear.
Instead...more criticism.

Don't blame the Republicans, or the racist employers, or the racists in law enforcement, or so-called Liberals who are really hypocrites in disguise...put all of the blame on Black men when you lose an election.

Right-wing Conservatives used to have a term for Liberals, calling them the "blame America first crowd".
Looks to me the Democratic Leadership have adopted a policy called "blame Black men first".

This year I believe many Black men are finally *getting it* with these political parties running the same game every 4 years. 

 

It's very similar to the exodus many Black men have made from going to churches. 

 

After while, the pimp games become more clear and uninteresting to Black men.

The older I get, the more I recognize PATTERNS among people.

For the past 40 years or so....except for a brief moment in 2020.....many of our brothers have shown a PATTERN of complaining about their conditions but not being motivated enough to actually take corrective action and doing things that are effective in changing them for the better.

For example.....
They'll sit up and complain about being ignored politically and how they've been voting for the Democrats for so many years while getting nothing in return;  but their "solution" to this problem is to DO NOTHING.
Literally SIT ON THE COUCH.
Or vote for Trump as if HE'D actually do something.

When you tell them we need to form OUR OWN political party to push OUR OWN agenda....they'll agree.
But when it's time to take action and have an actual meeting to discuss this, like the Last Poets said.....they'll tell you:

"Ah nigga I was just jivin' 
You know I was bull shittin'
How much you got on this hen-dog....let's roll to the store right quick"

My issue with the "vote the couch" campaign is that it feeds the spirit of LAZINESS that many of our people are already afflicted with.

Kind of like telling Black youth to forget about a 9 to 5...be YOUR OWN boss.
It feeds a spirit of laziness and lack of discipline in those who are already predisposed to such.

 

Many of our people voted "the couch" even when we have a clearly superior choice in candidates like Obama VS McCain or Romney.

They didn't refrain from voting simply because they didn't think they would receive any tangibles.  They refrained from voting because they didn't feel like going through the "trouble" of registering and then waiting in line to show up and vote.

 

But despite my issues with it, I wouldn't change the fact that people are allowed to NOT vote if they wish.
It's their right NOT to exercise their rights if they so choose.

Where I grew up, there was no shortahge of men and women who didn't work or barely did anything productive. Many of them didn't bother to vote either.

I walked into a Polo store the other day and a young fat brutha was just sitting there playing on his phone with his feet propped up on the counter.
A polo store is NOT Foot Locker, that is NOT the type of place for such common and laid back behavior by employees...but he didn't seem to care.
He did greet me....without looking at me..and let me wander around the store by myself.

Naturally I didn't buy shit, but the reason I'm telling the story is because.....

About 10 minutes after me and another man came in who received the same greeting, a group of young college aged girls....mostly White and Asian..in those sweat shirts, yoga pants, and yoga shorts...came bouncing and giggling in and I noticed how the nigga LEAPED up off the chair like he got stung by a bee...lol.

He made sure to talk to every single one of them...and it was a group of 5 or 7 of them!
They told him atleast twice that they were just looking and waiting on some movie to start but he didn't care.
He asked them what they were looking for.
Explained what was the hottest selling items.
Just wouldn't let them go.
I left the store and he was STILL following them around talking shit and grinning.

He was MOTIVATED.
It took him out of his laziness.

Most of the younger women I talk to tell me about how their AMERICAN boyfriends ONLY want blow jobs, they don't want to have sex.

I've concluded that most of this desire comes from straight LAZINESS.
Many of these young dudes are too fat and lazy to put the work in to screw a woman, but laying on the couch or laying in the bed and getting sucked off is much easier.

I stressed the word "American" because I tend to talk to women from ALL backgrounds including a lot of foreign women too.
Most of the foreign women are married, so they don't have boyfriend but actual husbands.
And they usually don't tell me what THEY are doing in bed...lol.
