Why....in 2024....about to be 2025....is this brother "surprised" at the way Latino men feel about seeing Latina women with Black men?

He's not the only one surprised, I'm surprised too.

But I'm not surprised at THEM.
I've known how most of them felt about that for decades.  Since my early 20s.

What surprises ME is how naive and ignorant some of our brothers STILL are despite 400 years of having to deal with the jealousy and hatred of their racist open enemies.

Why are niggaz still walking around like dumb ass squirrels totally oblivious to the fact that most White and many non-Black men are jealous of and fear the sexual potency of Black men and have a strong distaste for seeing them with their women?

A quick aside that has little to do with the subject of the thread.....

No wonder so many people are climbing mountains, walking through hot ass deserts, and swimming across dangerous rivers just to come to America.

They sit around in their shacks and mudholes with no shoes on and watch Black men riding around in shades and in nice cars running their mouths, eating sandwiches, singing, dancing, fucking with women, making tons of money, hopping from one job to the next....doing all kinds of fun shit.
And they think to themselves....if THOSE niggas can live like that....SO CAN WE.....LET'S HURRY UP AND GET TO AMERICA.

Black folks are the BIGGEST and BEST advertisement for the United States....lol.

Where else do you see so many Black men and women looking good, dressing good, eating good, and riding around in nice cars talking shit on videos?

@Pioneer1, glad you decided to pop in and chop it up with the family.😁

People are surprised because they don't want to believe other people are that ignorant or naive or petty.

Racism exists for several reasons. We need to Whack-A-Mole that sh8t every time it pops up.

Puerto Rican rapper Fat Joe was given a Hip-Hop pass. Black folks should have never allowed him to feel comfortable talking about us recklessly though.

Same goes for white actor Michael Rapaport. He was talking real greasy when the Gaza sh8t popped off.

Rapaport felt that Black folks should have sided with the Jews. Nope. Hold your own nutz. 😎

Ah man, so busy trying to make things happen over on this end.
Good to sit down and politic with the fam when I have the time and opportunity.

People are surprised because they don't want to believe other people are that ignorant or naive or petty.

Actually, I wouldn't say these other men are ANY of those things.

Infact.....
I would say that when it comes to THAT particular issue...being protective of their women...they actually have MORE sense than the average nigga out there.

They don't like seeing other men fucking with their women.
I can't get angry with them over that.
I know why.
They're racist and they're jealous and self conscious; but still, their position makes sense.

What DOESN'T make sense is how so many Black men DON'T feel that way about OUR women and seeing other men fuck with OUR women.
Especially given the history of what our people have went through not only in this nation but around the world.

Yeah, that entire Fat Joe situation seems to be overhyped in my opinion.
I saw PART of the interview he did with Math Hoffa.
Although Fat Joe is probably a racist Latino who vultured off of Black culture....in my opinion the part that he said wasn't as offensive as a lot of the FBA extremists are claiming it is.

Puerto Ricans say "nigga" all day long in New York.
They've BEEN saying it....for decades.
They've BEEN practicing aspects of AfroAmerican culture for decades.  This isn't new.

I didn't hear him use the hard "er" on the end of it.

My thing is...if we are going to feel that way, don't "all of a sudden now" get this way.
We should have BEEN on this decades ago.

True.

Understood. Real life always comes first. Handle your bizness.

They need to take it up with the women who're giving up the snatch box.

Being jealous isn't going to solve anything. Comes across like a child pouting and crying over a toy.

Feeling some kind of way solves nothing. Do something about it. Give the women a reason not to go astray.

Right. We should have understood a long time ago that we have no *friends* amomg other groups of people.

These other people can only be associates if/when it comes to building strategic alliances.

However, as long as Black folks want to 1) sleep with these other people or 2) kick it with them, there's an opportunity to be compromised.😎

Regardless of whatever Fat Joe said; Puerto Ricans are inextricably linked to hip-hop culture.  Consider that an axiom.

Of course it is not new.  In East Harlem, the South Bronx, and other areas in NYC where hip-hop was born, we have a shared culture, which is why Puerto Ricans, or should I say Nuyoricans are part of hip-hop culture.  Also, keep in mind there are Puerto Ricans who are as phonetyocially Black as you.

Sure. Nuyoricans are linked to Hip-Hop culture. But, they still don't get a pass to be disrespectful towards us.😎

More facts.
However this is the thing with the Fat Joe controversy....

I don't know the ins and outs of the entire situation but from what I understand Fat Joe...who I'm NOT a fan of...was criticizing Tariq Nasheed and those who follow HIM under the blanket label of "FBA".
He didn't recognize FBA as a "lineage" as Tariq and a lot of others like to put it.
He...like many others...recognize FBA as those PARTICULAR AfroAmericans who ascribe to the ideology of Tariq

I'm not saying who is right and who is wrong, but I didn't take his criticisms as a diss towards our people in general but as a diss towards THOSE FBA who came after him.

Being from the streets, from The Bronx...I wouldn't expect any other response from him or anybody else who comes from that environment.

Ofcourse he's going to clap back when he feels he's being attacked.
What did people expect for him to do?

Now....

As so often is the case, especially with some of OUR people who tend to be immature and overly emotional.

2 men have a beef.

2 groups have a beef.

Instead of sitting back and letting those 2 groups go at it...niggaz want to JUMP IN taking sides or take it personal and claim Fat Joe was dissing ALL OF BLACK AMERICA even if he was JUST going after Tariq and his followers.

Like if somebody disses ONE person in your neighborhood you want to react as if they dissed YOU and the ENTIRE hood.
Just jumping up in the fight.

A lot of Latinos are the same way.
I'm not letting them off the hook.

As I said earlier, IS Fat Joe a racist Latino culture vulture?
Probably so.

But I call balls and strikes as I see them.

I don't believe he went after Black America, he went after Tariq and his other detracters....BX style...using "nigga" and cussing like one would expect somebody from the streets would do.

Why should I or any other AfroAmerican now jump in and attack all Latinos...especially Puerto Ricans...because of some beef between him and Tariq?

I'm not.

Why should AfroAmericans and Puerto Ricans now go to war with eachother over this?
They shouldn't.
Maybe there ARE issues we need to hatch out with eachother...but THIS ain't one of them.

I'm telling you man, Tariq is really getting into shit lately.

Tariq Nasheed is a brilliant brutha and has done a lot of great work, but I have to say that he's being doing a lot of harm lately the way he's been going around and stirring up unnecessary problems not only among Black folks through out the Diaspora but even with the non-Black Latino community in the WAY he's going about things.

You can set the record straight without pissing on people and dissing them or dismissing their efforts and contributions.

Going after Africans and making fun of them.
Going after Caribbeans and making fun of them.

No, many of them don't like Black Americans, but the shit HE'S doing ain't helping that.

Nigga'll diss Africans, Caribbeans, and Latinos all day long calling them anti-FBA and collaborators with the White man...and when it's all said and done GO TO WORK for White folks and sit down and eat with them!

While dissing other groups for doing the same thing.

If Fat Joe has a beef with Tariq, he's old enough to know better than to clap back publicly.

Tariq is a bit extra and over the top in clowning and complaining about tethers.

But, the comedy is a part of his hustle.

Unfortunately, social media allows these overly emotional folks to beef virtually.😎

Fat Joe is no different than any other rapper.  You don't have to look hard to find Rappers. of all types, who disrespect Black people.  Man. there entire forms of the art that one can easy argue is disrespectful to Black people -- especially Black women

I did not know the issue with Fat Joe has to do with Tariq until now -- probably not worth the time to investigate, but if I get a minute I'll check it out 😉

But you know how rappers are.
If retaliation for the so-called "slight" or "diss" wasn't done in public, it's like it wasn't done at all.

Don't worry, you ain't missing too much...lol.

It'll probably be a bit confusing because much of the beef does NOT involve Tariq anymore but people like Lord Jamar (Brand Nubians) who jumped into the mix.

Briefly....
It started when Tariq did a documentary saying that Hiphop was a product of AfroAmerican culture and that the Latinos (particularly the Puerto Ricans of New York) had very little influence over it.
Many Puerto Ricans took offense to this, including Fat Joe.
He had some words for Tariq....and Tariq had some words for him..and they've been going back and force since with others jumping into the mix.

I'm fairly knowledgeable when it comes to music.

True...rappers have gone back and forth battling on records.

Most recently Kendrick Lamar roasted Drake on a diss record. Drake is still Black.😁

But, I cannot think of any non-Black rappers who have been disrespectful towards Black folks on records.

It's almost like white folks being afraid to use the N word.

Both Fat Joe and Tariq are over 50 years old.  They know better.🤣😎

OK I can why Fat Joe would take offense.   Puerto Ricans are part of Hip-hop that is indisputable.  I witnessed this. Some of the best graffiti artists and break dancers I've seen in the 1970's were Puerto Rican.

It took me 60 seconds to find this clip it is less than a minute long.  I don't know who this and it looks dubbed, Bottom line I'm sure I can find more vidoes of whote rappers using the N-word

OK.  That's some garbage thrown up on YouTube.  I was referring to real artists.

I don't think you will find commercially released Hip-Hop music with non-Black folks disrespecting Black folks.😎

OK this is an actual recording artist: V-Nasty from Oakland a member of the rap group White Girl Mob, which also included Kreayshawn and Lil Debbie.  Turns out she is known for using the N-Word in her music.
