Delano Posted August 15 Report Posted August 15 I just started to read Epicurus Being Happy. It has the following quote, " Most people, however, recoil from death as though it were the greatest of evils; at other times they welcome it as the end all life's ills. @aka Contrarian "living well and dying well are one and the same discipline."

Pioneer1 Posted August 16 Report Posted August 16 Death isn't the enemy, it's a benefit. No matter how bad life is, imagine if there was NO death at all and you were stuck in that situation. Death is actually a TRANSITION to other Realities. But the fear most people have of it is natural. That Survival instinct was put in us for a reason.

Death is a natural part of our existence. Make the most out of being alive. Tomorrow isn't promised to anyone.

When you talk to old people who are close to death and ask them what their biggest regrets were, it's almost always something to do with letting "fear" stop them from doing something they wanted to do...whether it involved money, love, career move, etc.... 1
aka Contrarian Posted August 17 Report Posted August 17 As if me and Delano needed the trite validation of what we've already concluded.
Delano Posted August 17 Author Report Posted August 17 I very rarely argue, I am not interested in trying to open a closed person. Its a waste of time.
