Clarence V. Reynolds, a native of Baltimore, Maryland, is an independent journalist living in New York. Presently, he is the Director of The Center for Black Literature, CUNY, and has been an adjunct teacher in the English department at MEC. He also works as a copy editor and staff writer for The Network Journal. Reynolds is the editor of the America I AM Journal, published SmileyBooks. He is the former managing editor of Black Issues Book Review magazine; and has worked for numerous publications, including Discover magazine, B. Smith with Style, and Family Life. He is also a former co-owner of Café Pangea, a bistro-style restaurant in his hometown.  He lives in New York City.
