  6. Ai Kesen- Elkeson is becoming Ai Kesen to play for china is the beginning. Paulo freitas @Cynegeticus shared the news. The connection brasilian players have to that part of asia is not little. Brasilian players are long standing stalwarts in japan. I wish him well and expect with the money china offers he will not be alone. 9. I understand. This is evidenced by my own experience and the experiences related by Pioneer. However, what I think you are failing to consider is, kids today have access to so much more sexually explicit content than ever before. This video, while a great display of Black athleticism and beauty, is also overtly sexual. Something Pioneer describes as natural behavior (like polygamy) and you simply say is beautiful without really addressing the sexual nature of the video -- almost as if it were not there or did not matter. Sure, you and I are not affected by this video -- we have a content, we've been on Earth for over half a century and have seen a lot. What I question is the impact of all of this on our youth. I have not seen this, but I take you word for it. Think about the scenario in which someone takes out their cell phone to record a gang rape and THEN put it on social media. What type of society do we have were tech firms profit off of motivating people to share gang rapes... this is so f-cked up I don't even know where to begin. @Pioneer1 I saw Kim last year and told her I knew Mel. She immediately whipped out a photo of her and Mel, from back in the day :-) I took a photo of Kim's cell phone and shared it with Mel. I thought I posted it here, but I guess I did not.
  10. @Pioneer1 "racism" is the problem, not the false idea of different so called races. I was previously unaware of Jared Taylor. The video of the "debate" between Jared and Tariq Nasheed was hard to watch because Jared made Tariq look silly (I could not watch the whole video if there is a part in which Tariq does better please share the timestamp). On another level, Jared is using Tariq to elevate his own prominence by easily dispatching with him. Jared would have much more difficulty with a scholar like Cornel West or even something who has studied the subject more deeply like Ta Nehisi Coates. Jared is potentially very dangerous. Still I think we should get rid of tracking race in this country too. Your argument that: Again, this makes little sense. The victims would have legal ground for being mistreated. All this focus on race being the motivator tends to reinforce the perceived, inherent, differences between people with different skin tones.
  11. I'll probably attend this event Tara -- thanks.
  12. Hi All! On September 10th from 6-7pm, Quincy Troupe will be leading an artist talk at Madison Square Park on the current installation City in the Grass by Leonardo Drew. The artist will be present as well to engage in conversation with Quincy Troupe. All are invited to join in the discussion. Tracy Sherrod, the editorial director of Amistad; Yona Deshommes, Associate Director of Publicity at Atria Books; and Cherise Fisher, a literary agent at Wendy Sherman Associates Literary Management. All of these Sisters are have been supportive of AALBC for years and provide keen insight into the publishing industry
  14. I decided to use the industry standard BISAC codes to compile my Top Lists across various categories. This will allow me to programmatically compile a very large number of lists on a variety of topic lists of books. As books win awards, obtain critical acclaim, make AALBC's best sellers lists, I'll compile this data and more into a dynamically generated and unbiased "Top Ten List." Basically I'll be parsing my list of Most Critically Acclaimed Books by their respective BISAC categories.
  15. Pioneer1 Hmmm, you may have a point there. But as I said,as with the group Stand Up to Racism, when they appear on the street, the crowd is extremely diverse. Perhaps this is due to the fact that the main focus is Islamphobia. Many Muslims do turn out for this, particularly when opposing far right groups. Thankfully violence doesn't occur that often and the two sides are often kept apart .
  16. 😆 @Pioneer1 Yes Kim Coles also graduated from Brooklyn Tech with me and Troy. Best. High. School. Ever. And yes - haven't you noticed we fight about and agree with each other on the topics dealing with the subject of "Social Engineering"... It's as if you and I both believe that we humans are consistently being programmed and hacked to behave a certain way. Sexuality goes right to the top of the social engineering ! Early Anglos found out how to harness and supress sensuality, sexuality and sensuosity and use it to create super soldiers /killing machines . In short, suppress sexuality you kill creativity and then you can create monsters. @Troy In a way, I agree but how we use our experiences is what's at odds. As a woman, I learned sexual boundaries in the safety of my parents home. When you are under a watchful eye of your caregivers - they let things go but so far. We've seen on social media where at some of parties teenaged boys and girls have gotten drunk and some boys have gone as far as gang raped girls. A lot of times these parties were not chaperoned - and what's worse those children didn't learn boundaries and popped like corks under pressure. Now the girls are scarred -and the boys have to register as sexual offenders for the rest of their life. My friends and I played RCK (run catch and kiss)- as young as 11... by the time we were teens - we knew boundaries. Boys knew sexual contact in varying degrees wasn't off limits because girls liked it too - but we all learned no means no. As society progressed - I guess some parents didn't have time for children anymore. But when I was growing up we all had parents to consult in the absence of our own (for the moment). It did take a village. Most of the kids I grew up with - played kissing games, bump and grinding when we were teenagers, and none of us ended up as sexual predators. When the child learns how to exercise their personal agency it will later serve them as adults. My body and persona doesn't belong to my parents - it's mine. My children's bodies doesn't belong to me or their dad. They learned this from the time they were toddlers. While they were under our care we had to let them determine their boundaries or they would never learn. Or worse, learn when they were older. If you wonder why some women exist in abusive relationships while some women NEVER experience that life;-it's all due to learning. We all have to learn - it just depends on when.
  17. Corinthians Futebol Feminino- @SCCPFutFeminino have a 28 straight win record in all competitions, the longest for any club, mens or womens. Their last non win was a lose against my Seirenes, Santos women. Congratulations to O timao, they rebooted their program after some faltering. Santos , like Arsenal in england , has led but has been unable to keep up with more financially able or ambitious clubs into the womens game come about. They are being led by Millene @millenefernandes_ article https://www.fifa.com/news/corinthians-women-set-new-world-record referral https://twitter.com/FIFAWWC/status/1164340659580493825
  18. Troy Oh, that's Jared Taylor. I could have told you about him. He's one of the foremost spokespersons for the moder Caucasian racists today exactly BECAUSE of his well spoken, calm, and charismatic demeanor. Infact Tariq Nasheed interviews him many times and they even had a debate. You ask do I understand how a belief in race can be so destructive, but I ask you do you realize how e NOT believing and acknowledging the truth about race can be even MORE destructive? And I mean literally! Do you realize that in Latin America in places like Mexico, Dominican Republic, Bolivia, and other nations in South and Cental America the governments don't acknowledge the racial differences of it's citizens? All Mexicans are considered the same race despite their color. All Bolivians are considered the same despite their shade. You say this is marvelous and beautiful! The problem is Black Mexicans and Black Bolivians are HEAVILY discriminated against, beaten, jailed, and mistreated by the White and lighter skinned people of their nations and because "races" doesn't exists officially they can't even call it racism. The victims have no legal grounds in which to claim discrimination because these governments don't recognize them as being of a different race than their attacker. As for the first video..... Neely Fuller says that one of the biggest tools that White Supremists use is CONFUSION. As usual, the slick talking Jared Taylor is confusion RACE with NATIONALITY in order to confuse the audience. He talks about "American" as if it were a race and uses the terms "white" and "American" interchangeably in order to associate in the audiences' minds that American MEANS White. He also consistently says "America" and only rarely uses the correct term for this nation which is the "United States". Confusion has been weaponized today, and this is why a person must not only have an analytical mind in order to decipher and parce words in order to NOT be confused and deceived, but must also have a proper grasp of world history. As for your second video........... I said in another thread that Black folks were making rap videos and even had The Wire talking about how violent and ghetto Baltimore was; so they shouldn't be so surprised when Trump decides to back them up and bear witness to what THEY say about their own city. Negroes need to start using more common sense and think ahead before they start glorifying and taking pride in foolishness. Don't brag about how violent and crazy your community is and then get angry if a White man comes along and agrees with you! On a lighter note. Since squirrels are "rodents" too and plenty of them as well as beavers can be seen roaming around Washington D.C.....someone should inform Trump that those who lived in "rodent infested" cities themselves shouldn't throw stones at others, lol.
  19. The sister club- I quote chris phillips the manager of London City Lionesses :"We want to show people that the time is now right that a women’s football club can be a women’s football club and it doesn’t have to be – and I use this term whether it’s politically correct or not – the annoying sister of a men’s club. If you speak to about 80% of clubs out there, they’re not happy with the relationship with the men’s team.”" I am a fan of Rivers Angels @Rivers_Angels BRescia calcio femminile @BresciaCF and Turbine potsdam @Turbine_Potsdam , now I will not deny I love Olympique Lyonnais feminin, Atletico Madrid feminine, Chelsea football club ladies, Gladbach Fraun, Santos Feminino, Botafogo feminino. I support them constantly. But, I will always have a special place in my heart for Rivers Angels/Die Turbinen/Leonessa cause as womens clubs they have faced serious challenges. Rivers Angels is in one of the only few womens leagues in CAF that has some semblance of existence, I did not say paid athletic quality , or heavy investment, merely existence. Turbine potsdam small owners were once champions of UEFA. But then came the sister clubs in germany but die turbinen survive in the table. Lastly, but not leastly, BRescia was multiple champion of Italy and brewed most of the most well known players for juventus women or ac milan. But their organization was bullied into a lesser league where they keep up the fight. It is hard in the modern financial environment for a womens team to survive. Ask the teams of the National womens soccer league in the usa. For all the advertisement to the usa womens national team or their multiple world cup wins or high profile players. They don't attract sponsors as easily as one would think, ala the death of boston breakers , or prior attempts at a first tier team in the usa. I quote the article again: "“It’s all well and good for people to bang on about equality but it has to be more than words,” says Phillips. “Little things like giving all the girls private medical care. I can’t have a player who’s injured and waiting six months on the NHS to receive an MRI scan and then another six months for surgery, then we’ve lost a player for a year there." That quote lead to a good point, that I need investigative journalism to answer. How many female soccer players recover from injuries? I know Amel Majri side many other Olympique lyonnais players have injuries and recover well, including alex morgan during her time, but I will love to know the statistics of recovery for female soccer players after major injuries. The article for me was historically untrue in one way. I quote: "“With it being the first club to be fully separate is pretty unique,” says the full-back Leanne Cowan." The london bees and other clubs that are no longer in existence, were womens only clubs, and existed before the sister club era hit uefa. Those early clubs aren't mentioned enough, many like bad neuernahr in germany are gone and forgotten in this internet age, but kept womens soccer alive in underrated ways. I penultimate with the title in the article , equality has to be more than words. I end with the truth, equality has to be based on ownership. Womens clubs must be owned on their own. Article https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/aug/18/london-city-lionesses-millwall-womens-football referral https://twitter.com/Thetenner10/status/1163546266736975872
  20. Troy "Harm" many not be the right word. So I can't answer your question as posed. Sure you can, your answer was actually "no"...lol. Because nothing in this video harms children in any way. It may make ADULTS feel uncomfortable if they are around children when it comes on, much like frank sex talk makes parents uncomfortable when their children (of any age) are around....when that same talk wouldn't bother either if they were by themselves. And it all originates from people NOT having honest and frank talks about REAL sexuality to begin with, but instead hiding or ignoring it....suppressing it. And as is often the case, when something is suppressed it comes out with much force and discomfort from being kept into such an unnatural state. dunno man, I can only imagine what the average teenage boy wants to do after seeing this video I got news for you my brutha, the average teenage boy DOESN'T NEED videos like this to get him going....lol. When I was a teenager my erections WORK ME UP like an alarm clock. Look, scantily clad women gyrating in this manner were around when I was a teen too, but you had to go to a strip club to see this stuff. Now come on man, you grew up in Harlem in the late 60s and 70s! Are you telling me all those pictures I saw of prostitutes on the street half naked and every day girls walking around in miniskirts, halter tops, sting tops, and hot pants, braless, ect....was just on television? You didn't see women walking around shaking what their mama gave them in REAL life? I know when I was a kid growing up in the Midwest in the 70s and 80s when it got hot women and girls were wearing clothes about as skimpy as what you see in that video. Yes I remember doing the "Freak," but we were not filiming it and watching it constantly. Did you think the freak was appropriate? I know at least one guy that ejaculated while freaking So while I don't disagree with anything you wrote Mel, I find it hard to believe you would host a party where your teenage daughters were dressed and dancing like that. Would you you let them "freak" or dance "rub-a-dub style" in the basement with the lights off? @Pioneer1 if you are familiar with those dance styles, same question 1. When I was coming up we were doing the same thing but we called it "grinding". White folks called it "dry humping". All it was was having as something as close to sex as you can with your clothes on. 2 . I did grind on a lot of females at parties and clubs and altough I don't remember "busting" in my pants, most of the time I DID feel a little "pre-cum" come out. I'll stop right there rather than get too graphic....lol. 3. Not only did we do this as teenagers but now that I think on it even back in elementary school at 7 and 8 we used to chase girls around getting out "squeeze" on all over them. We called it "hide and go get some". What you're seeing in the video as well as what you saw growing up is African youth behaving the way we NORMALLY behave when nature is allowed to take it's course. Before Caucasians came and influenced our thinking with their prudish anti-sexual religions and philosophies most African and Dravidian societies had "sex cults" where the entire community would come out to have sex with eachother in mass.....nothing to be ashamed of. You can read in the Bible where the Israelites (Caucasians) tried to stamp it out in the different lands they conquered. 4. To answer your question: No. As open minded as I am about the idea, no I probably wouldn't let my teenage daughter do it. Why not? Irrational male over protectiveness. But my decision is an emotional decision, not a logical one. You were a gymnast? I bet you were strong as hell! I've met a few male gymasts and them cats had muscles like wire cables. Mel The dancing in this video is beautiful! And look at all those chocolate young women and men!~ They are beautiful! Not only do I agree with you but I absolutly LOVE seeing attractive and physically fit AfroAmericans be sensual and express their sexuality. I'd much rather see them do THIS than fighting and pulling guns on eachother. I'lll promote Black on Black love over Black on Black violence any day. Alright.....you've been agreeing with me so much lately I'm getting suspicious! What are you up too....lol. BTW...when you say "Kim Coles" do you mean you went to school with Kim Coles the actress from Living Singles?
  21. Fired? A person get's "fired" from Subway for not making a sandwich correctly. How is just "firing" someone who just killed a man supposed to be seen as a victory? In Hong Kong the other day some police officers were caught on camera beating one of the protestors while he was in the hospital and already injuried. They weren't just "fired" but these officers were ARRESTED and put in JAIL for what they did. Fired............. Hmmm....I wonder will the Eric Garner incident be listed on his resume?
  22. Maurice Perhaps in both the UK and US many of the citizens of color aren't out in the streets challenging these right-wing facists because they're afraid they wouldn't be shown the same indifferent treatment to their activities that the Caucasian leftist activists are shown. While the Caucasian activist may march and scream and duke it out and get back in their groups and drive off.....the African or Indian activist probably fears he'll find himself in cuffs or brought up on charges of assault and inciting a riot. Queen X That doesn.t explain why crazy people should have military-style weapons. Those young men weren't "crazy" or insane. Evil....yes. Crazy....no. They knew EXACTLY what they were doing and why they did it and showed no remorse for their actions.

Time is running into time. I am not sure if it is running in or out. I know It is moving as I am trying to get in but I think it is trying to leave me. Flashes of light pass me by, we sit quietly on the side lines trying to be polite. We think about the run but we fear the fight, and quite frankly we must understand that somethings are worth fighting for, and sometime we just need to face the fact that there is too much damage to repair and too much hurt to ignore. Gluttons for punishment, we describe what we see when we return to the scars barely able to breath, exhale, rapid breathing till your pale in the face, nowhere to run because time left you, you can’t win the race against time, she invited you, warned you, said keep up the pace, but you alas thought the short cut would give you the advantage today, but time and today have never been friends, time leaves day when the night begins, she doesn’t seem to stop to greet any of them, she just keeps moving with laughter as each moment ends. Time, hey time can I come to, I yelled why’d you invite me on this journey with you, and I guess it was to learn not to be so serious with time, it’s constant but there are instances that you have to get past that fine line, that fine line that has you questioning how long she’ll stay, has you reviewing regret, has you searching when you just need to pray, Time please slow down I beg these days, and when I was young I wasted you so, not weighting the cost and you don’t loop around for anyone once you’ve move pasted the moment the chance has been lost, and taking for granted something you think you have, something you can’t see but you can feel as it goes past, an essence that at time seems a friend but at others an enemy to the very end, time can be caution and sneak right in and other time it moves like the wind, a gust, a storm, a cloud moving in laughter like thunder and silence like the whispers that flicker in the embers of fire, time described for a journey to begin, Time I am ready Please let me in! I will be on Time…….. Prayed up
  24. #Copalibertadores night 82122019 #Flamengo vs #Internacional As I said in the prior night, the competition at this level is equal, yes, boca juniors swept quito away but when brasilian side argentinean teams meet they meet as equals in this tournament at this stage. It is a pure battle. I will say, energetically, Internacional didn't keep up with the pace of flamengo throughout the pitch, and really died in the later minutes. Paulo gueerrero in the first half suggested injury and I think he did carry a knock through the match. It hurts a lot that two santos players are in the forward role for Flamengo but it is acceptable as Santos is a less fiscally potent club, and must sell the diamonds it brews. The next leg will be tough for Internacional in porto allegre. But, I expect a battle and a full house to cheer them on. GOALS Bruno Henrique 1 - the first goal of henrique was based on a poorly cleared ball, but no grand fault from Inter. The energy from flamengo in attack survived the entire ninety minutes. https://www.weibo.com/7030963893/I3mW2rGwb?from=page_1005057030963893_profile&wvr=6&mod=weibotime Bruno Henrique 2 - from felipe luis to gabriel barbossa to bruno henrique https://www.weibo.com/7030963893/I3mXZm6G1?from=page_1005057030963893_profile&wvr=6&mod=weibotime
  25. Last week
  26. A buddy forwarded me this video, I watched the whole thing with interest listening to the numerous examples of white people who held racist views. It was not until the 7:38 mark where he states that we are "...supposed to think that race doesn't even exist." That I realized that I was watching white racist propaganda. This is really well done. The speaker is likeable measured and "sounds" reasonable and rational. Intrigued, I went to youtube to find more videos and my suspicions were confirmed as this video about Trump's comments about Baltimore illustrate. @Pioneer1 do you understand why a belief in "race" is so destructive? I can easily see how a white person uninformed about how Black people were treated in this country, and who also believes in the concept of race, would suck this up. Get ready for another four years of President Trump.
  27. Yes I remember this. You haven't aged a bit! As far as the parties, I would not let my daughters have boys grinding on them in my basement with the lights off, or down low -- and now I know they could not go to a party a Ms. Hopkins house LOL! I did A LOT of things has a kid that I would discourage my kids from doing even though some of those things were fun at the time. We we went to seedy little clubs in Harlem during the early days of what would be known as "Hip Hip." I was like 12 or 13 and you go up to a girl to "dance," but basically you were just humping each other. Sometimes you put the girl in a "sandwich" with another guy -- grabbing her breasts and butt. Sometimes there would be a train of preteens just grinding on each other in a sweaty frenzy. It seems crazy as I reflect on it now, but it is what we did and there were places like this all over the city. Of course this experience informed our (young Black men in the inner city) way of dealing with women. I'll go out on a limb here and say the experience was not positive. Clearly, how we see this video is a reflection of our personal experiences. I suspect the impact, good or bad, on any individual will also be based upon individual experiences.
  28. Ive quite a few books on Hendrix but as yet not this one but I'd like to share this for any fans of Jimi.
  29. @Troy I never censored how my daughters dance or what they wore. Even when my youngest was going through her goth phase - I just sucked it up. lol - Today, the twins barely wear clothes but that's their self-expression. My oldest daughter is more conservative and that's her style choice. I had nothing to do with it. Anyway, I'm not prudish ... And neither did my parents censor me. EDIT: I had a lights off rub-em-up sweet-sixteen party in my basement. It was great! Also Do you not remember this? This was our senior fashion talent show - I was 17! Kim Coles, Vicki and I dressed like this and even the high school administration allowed us free expression! And yes, this was a one-night only performance - but still creative arts require raising the Serpentine fire/Kundalini! In fact, if we see more of those performances like in Normani's video and less gang-banging - our current "drive-by - mass shooting" culture will change for the better.
