  1. The left is not hurting black people and the political right is not helping us. Most black people are moderate or reform minded in their politics they don't go for socialism or anything radical. The problem is conservatives wrongly conflate moderate and liberal black Democratic politicians with leftists. This is only a tactic to scare and discourage people whether it's blacks or working class whites from supporting any kind of forward thinking political reform that might lead to a fair economy that benefits us all with equal rights and opportunities for all. Make no mistake about it the agenda of the political right whether it's white people or blacks is to insure a stable, orderly, society built on tradition that is skeptical and generally opposed to change. A society like that especially in the US has never been or can it be conducive to the economic, social, and political wellbeing of black people. We don't benefit from unregulated capitalism, a government that is unresponsive to social problems, or using the state to impose so called traditional values. All these things are advocated by the political right. Does any of this mean that black people should be passive or uncritical supporters of the left or moderate to liberal Democrats ? Absolutely not. We must think, organize, and challenge anything or anyone who does not offer a plan or platform that advances our struggle against systemic racism which also encompasses economic inequality.
  2. The term "woke" as a colloloquialism among AfroAmericans meant to be knowledgeable and aware especially of injustice and racism. It is smart to know and understand the conditions of one's environment. I hope that author isn't totally ignorant or an old fool or both. 😁😎
  3. Instagram as a news source? Is this some serious stuff? Ha ha ha. How about using the "Free Wood Post?" This company claims to offer real news such as this riveting exposure: "North Korea unable to access AOL dial-up account." I am certain there's a photo as well as several sworn affidavits attesting to the rainbow colored gay hamster living in Kamala's 20-somthing ex-boyfriends's mullet wearing neighbor's left running shoe. According to sources in a Kansas City, Kan., Colombian pizzeria. Oh, but we're talking about Biden's free crack pipes. You see, Biden knew he was gonna get in trouble with that, so he shipped them to Mad Vlad and Putin has been smoking up a storm ever since. Why else would he term his invasion of Ukraine as merely a peace keeping mission? He needs another hit.
  4. Yeah the problem is it caused money to produce journalism and the web has created the perception that this is produced for free. As a result many people consume "news" via instagram and uninformed. First is has not gone "well" for Black folks so far. But you indirectly bring up a good point. The money should come from a private fund. The government, technically, does not have money they can only levy taxes or borrow it. The vast majority of the wealth accrued from slavery went to "the 1%" and their wealth has increased generationally. Maybe they should pony up a small percentage of their slavery derived wealth and fund reparations for Black people. They are the only ones with the money to pay for it anyway. As of March 2021, the wealth of US Billionaires was 4.18 trillion it is surely more in 2022. Would the wealthiest give up just 10% of their wealth to make this problem go away? 😉 The truth cash money to individuals alone will not solve the problem. The structural problems also need to ne remedied.
  5. Embedding @daniellegfny Instagram post (below). How do you vet the information you dig up on the web and chose to believe? BTW none of the information you posted above even suggests that Kapenick wants to kill police officers. Have you decided to back off and admit your assertion was false?
  6. Lifezette is nothing but a trashy arch-Conservative Website founded by Fox News' Laura Ingraham which has been relentlessly attacked for shoddy reporting and for publishing conspiracy theories. Just the kind of Website a fact-challenged White racist would love. Because Ingraham defends White Supremacists, hates Vice President Kamala Harris and believes immigrants are destroying "America's way of life." Whatever that is. Which is why I continue to question whether Nels is actually Black. Because he sounds like an individual who is hell bent on diminishing every achievement of Black people. Oh, and author Shelby Steele? He's a biracial (Black and White man) who obviously dosen't care too much for the Black side of his heritage and thinks only White Conservatism is the answer. No wonder folks on the Left dismiss him as an angry crank and suck-up. The awful truth of Lifezette, a White racist's dream publication
  7. Recent polling data documents Americans’ general opposition to reparations in the form of financial payments to Black Americans as compensation for slavery. In 2014, 68% of those polled opposed such payments while only 15% supported them (17% were unsure). More recent polling in 2020 and 2021 suggests generally comparable results; in 2020, 63% of those polled were opposed to cash payments (31% supported; 6% had no opinion), while in 2021, 62% opposed (38% supported). There are also indications that this robust opposition remains despite a growing awareness of contemporary racial inequality – suggesting strongly that a racial awakening alone may not substantially alter policy views.
  8. I'm ecstatic that Judge Ketanji Brown is a SCOTUS nominee. I look forward to her being confirmed and taking her seat on the bench. 😎
  9. It is amazing that Nels just discovered the news about this BLM attacker. But just as those White racists who hate Black people, he ignores the outrages committed against hard working and innocent Black men and women. Such as the following: White men shoot at Black FedEx driver.
