Well, Yall. today is my birthday. I made it; the big 9-0. i don't know why I'm still here and so many young blacks are gone, losing their lives on a daily basis to gun violence. Life is a bitch... Here i am, chillin on my daughter's porch, bidding my bucket list "good bye". I have no idea why this picture is sooo huge! In fact, "i know that i know nothing." I may be back sooon to share some of my ignorance with you.
  2. It was a great event, met founder - CEO Troy Johnson of AALBC, founder Patrick Oliver of Speakloudly.com and local activists Ernest McMillan. Looking forward to the next Tulisoma South Dallas Book Fair but as a panelist.
  3. @Jeromex everyone in the country pays taxes. Far more white purple have benefited from government handouts than Black people ever have. It is hard to believe people are still spreading these played out narratives. It is no wonder folks like this was to ban books.
  4. I missed the days where men and women danced with each other. Young men and women don't seem to do this anymore they dance in packs or not at all... Think line dancing is cool too. It seems to be the only thing to get women out on the floor, but I guess ALL women can now get on the dance floor without have to wait for someone to ask them. Line dancing is less popular with the Brothers -- who has time to memorize all those steps when you could make up your own moved as @ProfD wrote, or fall back on the ole 2-step. The 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop reminded me of the "Freak," a dance style that was out in the 70's. As a kid, I loved it, but would be horrified if I saw kids dancing that that today 🫣
