  1. Thinking of Tiktok I realized something. Has @Troy figured out or implemented a plan for aalbc members to carry their data over to another website when [if] aalbc close its doors? I am not trying to be morbig, and I wish troy many healthy happy years but I have been part of a number of esocial media closings and not all closings had tools to carry content over. I am just wondering... Open Pulpit
  2. 🤔 I.....uhhh.....I'm a little curious. I just HAVE to ask you..... Uh....is that a LITERAL "easy chair" you be chilling in over there? Lol, or are you just being poetic and metaphorical?
  3. fuck with dre day...and everybody's celebrating richardmurray MLK day is tomorrow...and I'm celebrating.
  4. I love strategies where the interface is easy and everything is as clear as possible. I also play Zombie Defense, a cool game that I recommend to everyone.
  5. I don't know how cool he made reading look but it made the white man who wrote the book rich over night.😎
  6. ? I just voted.....and it shows that ONLY two people have voted so far. Somebody ain't participating...lol. richardmurray Man, talk about complex.... You ask to or three questions for us to answer AND present a poll AND post a lengthy statement for us to respond to. I'm not sure which of what you said to respond to first....lol. I look at women's empowerment in 2 distinct ways: 1. As a man who believes in fairness and equality between the sexes. 2. As a man who believes Black men should be empowered 1. As a man who believe in fairness and equality between the sexes, I recognize that women have historically been oppressed and discriminated against socially and financially so anything women can do to make money and make a living for themselves...as long as it's not harming others...I support. This is why I support prostitution in most of it's forms. As long as it doesn't involve underage people or non-consensual activity. 2. As for the number 2 perspective...I'll leave that alone for now, lol.
  7. Wait a minute....... You said an unprecedented UFOLOGY even set for 1/18/25 and I was thinking it was going to be an even BY the UFO's themselves! This so-called "unprecedented event" is just a bunch of people sitting around TALKING about what they saw????? Are you serious? That's like the Pope or some religious leader sounding an alarm telling all of the Christians to get ready for tomorrow because a massive event will take place and you don't want to be caught un prepared. You're thinking it's going to be the RAPTURE or that maybe Jesus may come down from the sky. ....and all it is is a bunch of men in robes and cup-caps sitting on top of their heads running their mouths. frank...you sure do know how to promote an event A regular Don King....lol
  8. richardmurray I don't like the way you worded that one bro....lol. Maybe you should say "if" AALBC has to shut down...instead of "when". To answer your question..... Considering that we currently have less than a dozen ACTIVE members on this site who actually participate in discussion and post things on the regular, we ABSOLUTELY could double our active membership by 2026. We'd just have to do more promoting of the site. It's sad, but if this was a White dominated site...this wouldn't be an issue because you'd have so many active participants engaged in dozens of separate different discussions. However many our people are so much more emotional than logical.....they aren't built to hold meaningful and respectful discussions and dialogs over the internet. They like the "tik tok" and "twitter" type formats where they can whip up quick emotional rants and responses and launch 20 second attacks at eachother back and forth. If you try to recruit more Black intellectuals....many of them tend to be arrogant and egotistical. Like our friend "Stefan".....on steroids.....lol. Every other post would be about them bragging about their credentials and accomplishments. ....and that's IF you can get them; because most of those kind of Negroes tend to like hanging around White sites so they can show out and try to gain the respect of the White colleagues.
  9. I don't believe AALBC active membership will grow. It's a boutique site that serves a particular niche. Nothing wrong with it. AALBC will continue as long as there is activity and/or until brotha @Troy decides to move on to something else. IMO, while it would be great to migrate AALBC data into repository in the event of closure, I plan to continue enjoying my easy chair here. If the proverbial lights are turned out, I'll have fond memories of this place. Hard to believe it's already been several years that I've been a fixture.😁😎
  10. Then what was the earthquake and tsunami that caused the Fukushima meltdown in 2011? Aren't the LA fires trivial by comparison?
