  1. Been wanting to read this for a while. Got a great deal too. Just £15. Well pleased.
  2. Ok, not a website but some other domain. Somewhere to read his poetry.
  3. Giving this recently discovered,at least by me, album a listen. She's probably best known for Picture me Gone and as part of the duo a Blue Mink.
  4. Harry, I think Troy mentioned sometime back that you have a website. Could you please post a link? Many thanks.
  5. I read a copy some months ago . Borrowed from my local library. Quite enjoyed the book but when I feel like another read, I'll go ahead and buy it.
  6. Why don't you register and join the forum too ?
  7. @Troy. Looking for a particular Angela Davis book BUT this happened ( scratching of head). https://store.aalbc.com/search.php?search_query=Angela%20Davis%20&section=product
  8. Ok, that sounds good. My daughter has gone and ordered the book I originally wanted so I'm going to look for something else. Thanks.
  9. You may well have another customer yet. Shipping costs to the UK ? https://aalbc.com/books/bookinfo.php?isbn13=9781593766016
  10. And about time. My latest purchase.
  11. London protests Might've been members of ANTIFA. Maybe.
  12. @Chevdove. Just read a further review of Barracoon and it sounds like a fascinating read. I'm going to add it to my wants list.
  13. Regarding the protests themselves, where are those so called Proud Boys now then? Obviously keeping a very low profile as they will be vastly outnumbered. Cowards.
  14. The best thing I've done in recent times was NOT to buy from Amazon anymore. Nothing. To hell with them.
  15. Seen a copy of the Essential Gwendolyn Brooks online so I'll go ahead and buy it after I've purchased two books that I'm after.
  16. Some good points raised. Now, how about registering with the forum. Join the family.
  17. Doing my absolute best, absolute, I promise not to sound patronising ( and sincere apologies if I do) but I'm with you folks, well as much as I can be from across the pond. I'd be out myself protesting myself if I lived in St.Paul, NYC, LA, San Diego wherever. Theres been outrage over here regarding George Floyd albeit online and mainly from mid to far Left groups (which is fine in my book).
  18. @Chevdove sorry too to hear about your ordeal. It must've been truly awful.
  19. Oh yes, 100%,harry. @Troy. I think a while back you sent out emails to members and in one of them you mentioned that in August a new book on Baldwin was being published. Any more news on this and the title?
  20. I'm all for protesting,100% but I've never looted a shop nor set a building on fire. I understand FULLY that people are very angry. But,well maybe it's just st me. Never really been in a position to really really let rip.
