  1. @KENNETH, you're spot on with that post. Most Black politicians are carefully selected. Black folks definitely have to organize and codify an agenda to which all politicians can be held accountable. Politics is transactional....quid pro quo. Collectively, Black folks should be getting tangible benefits for their vote. Not just a few crumbs, symbolism and tokenism. Black folks need to better understand the game of politics instead of running around in a circle and voting for the same box of nothing every election. As I mentioned before, when it comes to politics, Black folks are playing Checkers on a Chessboard.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  2. https://www.politico.com/news/2024/07/31/donald-trump-nabj-interview-00172104 Former POTUS Orange Julius had a meeting with the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ). Instead of making any case for what he plans to do for Black folks, former POTUS OJ was combative, insulted his hosts and doubled down on his ignorant rhetoric. Not that we should have expected anything different but former POTUS OJ clearly did not use the opportunity to ingratiate himself with Black folks. Former POTUS OJ is consistent in letting Black folks know he's doesn't and never will give a d8mn about then. Surely, that interview wont stop Tim Scott, Candace Owens and Larry Elder and others from supporting the Orange Jackazz.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  3. Right. Battleground aka swing states are where POTUS elections are usually won or lost due to wacky azz electoral college system.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  4. Fruit of Islam (FOI) is an example of an organized defensive force. Let a racist or anyone else try to come against the Nation of Islam (NOI). There will be h8ll to pay. Clearly, it's not working. Racists have been murdering Black folks with impunity for 100+ years. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  5. Similar to the endorsements rolling in from Democratic power brokers, I believe during their convention, everyone will fall in line and be on their best behavior in supporting VP Harris as the nominee for POTUS. Thomas Jefferson wrote some things alluding to the fact that America would be different in the future. I'm sure Jefferson did not envision an America to this degree. Otherwise, the founding fathers definitely did not take into consideration: 1) Black folks would be free and whole people with voting rights 2) women would serve in leadership positions 3) immigrants from all over the planet would flood the United States In as much as things seem to change, they remain the same. Despite the emancipation proclamation, women's suffrage, Civil Rights and feminism to name a few, America is still dominated by a white patriarchy in its governance. Even if a non-white man becomes POTUS, they still pull the strings and run the show. White women understand it full stop. That's why we don't hear and see white women or any other race of women proclaiming to be strong and independent. Sure, there are factions of white women wearing p8ssy hats or heavy into the LBGTQ+ movement or some other form of feminism but the majority of them are code when it comes to respecting white patriarchy and maintaining white supremacy. Therein lies the reason the Orange Jackazz won in 2016. It was a referendum against Hilary Clinton. White men didn't want a woman running the country. For the same reason, former POTUS OJ will be re-elected in 2024. Former POTUS OJ will not get re-elected because Black men refuse to vote. He will win because he's a white man upholding the system of racism white supremacy that benefits ALL white people regardless of how they vote.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  6. It would not make sense for an unorganized group of brothas to carry out an uncoordinated, non-strategic action.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  7. Shoring up the non-Black vote. Gotcha. Maybe Michelle Obama will have a change of heart in 2028. She's got 4 years to get her political weight up.๐Ÿ˜ I don't see the Dems reducing FBA/ADOS population as much as neutralizing the Black vote by giving illegal immigrants citizenship. OTOH, the GOP claims there will be mass deportations of illegal immigrants and proof of citizenship will be required in order to vote. Oh by the way, the former POTUS OJ told Christians they won't have to worry about voting again since the *problem* will be fixed. Some folks think his comment was code for dictatorship. POTUS OJ is delusional if he thinks American people will stand for it. The next bullet won't miss.๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  8. I don't see where they have promised to do anything for the AfroAmerican community. However, you can rest assured that everyone else, including illegal immigrants will get tangible benefits (money, green cards, citizenship, etc.). More ammo maybe. But, most of these people don't need anything else to run into the arms of *others* men or women. That's a choice they already made before the election. The Democrats are catering to swing voters in battleground states. They aren't going to turn a Red state Blue. Right. They are hoping the Black men in battleground states will show up to vote instead of sitting on the couch. Don't quite understand this fixation on Michelle Obama. She hasn't even flirted with having political aspirations. From an optics perspective, Michelle Obama would be great. I'm not so sure that she could or would do any more for AfroAmericans than her husband did with 8 years in office. If VP Kamala Harris gets elected POTUS, she will do about the same thing. AfroAmericans aren't getting tangible benefits from these folks. Just more symbolism and tokenism.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  9. Despite the fact that it's more marching, looks like there's a glimmer hope in Black men standing up.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  10. As I mentioned in another thread, white men rendered Black folks totally powerless during slavery; abused them and instilled a level of psychological fear that is still present today. It is evidenced by @aka Contrarian response to my belief that now is the time for Black men to step up to the plate and handle that business. I respect it because her response is typical from someone of her generation. But, we cannot continue rolling with that program. Lynchings. Emmitt Till. Church bombing. Assassinations (Malcolm X, Medgar Evers, Fred Hampton, Dr. MLK Jr.). COINTELPRO. Drugs in Black communities. Murder by cop. When does it stop? How do we put an end to it? Something has to change. A man is supposed to be a provider and a protector. That is not bravado or machismo. That is a law of nature.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  11. @Pioneer1 and @Chevdove, slavery was a circumstance that rendered Black folks totally powerless. White men were dominating every aspect of the slave's lives including sexually. White men were having their way with Black women not always by consent. White men used Black men as bucks in forcing them to impregnate women as a form of breeding. White men would also use buck-breaking which was raping a Black man to emasculate the males, instill fear and keep slaves in line. This is a detour from this particular thread. Back to the regularly scheduled program...๐Ÿ˜Ž
  12. I'm open to ideas of what we should do to keep racists from killing Black and usually getting away with it in one way or another. Black folks voting hasn't led to an anti-Black Hate Crime Bill, Police Accountability Commission or kept racists from murdering our people.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  13. @aka Contrarian is right on several fronts. A list of successful Black men have been marrying Beckys and Karens for a long time now. Successful Black women aren't going to wait around forever for a Black man to get his sh8t together. I don't know if Montel Williams and Willie Brown were interested in making VP Harris a wife back in the day. Willie Brown did help her climb the ladder though. The 1st role models in a child's life should be their parents. If the children were unfortunate enough to be conceived by crash dummies, they will have a tougher row to hoe. However, there's no shortage of positive role models all around including books, magazines and internet. Whatever children choose to watch on TV is a function of the same people...parent(s). By extension, that also includes the village. Dr. John Henrik Clarke also told us to look in the mirror if we need a friend.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  14. I'm not debating it. Interesting that America is financing and letting it happen.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  15. True. Behind the scenes,"Tariq, Rizza Islam, Vicki Dillard and Marcel Dixon to name a few are also talking to politicians as well. At the rally, they were encouraging others to do the same thing in their communities too. Didn't see any homeless folks at the Rally4Reparations.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  16. Right. Attorney Ben Crump is doing his part from a legal perspective to get money for the victim's families in civil court. Black folks need to have something in place to keep our folks from becoming victims of racists in the 1st place.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  17. While most Black folks see reparations as a pipe dream if they even think about it all, someone has to champion the platform. If folks like Tariq Nasheed and others stop talking about reparations to include organizing events around it, the issue will definitely die on the vine. Remember that a whole lot of AfroAmericans didn't get involved or think the civil rights movement would amount to anything. It didn't stop them from enjoying benefits of the struggle.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  18. You're giving the Israelis way too much credit in being strategic and disciplined. The Israeli military is killing more women and children than taking out Hamas combatants. The Israeli genocide of Palestinians has been sanctioned by the US. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  19. She's a social climber aka politician. They are not connected to anyone who isn't helping them. As I mentioned in another thread, it's a marriage of political convenience. Forget it bro. Neither she nor firmer POTUS Obama are interested in returning to DC. The Obamas are making a sh8t ton of money and living their best lives away from politics. They're better than good.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  20. They only want to get rid of the people. The land is the prize. Black folks could learn a lesson from it too. Coincidence. VP Harris married him long before this conflict jumped off. However, I do believe their marriage is one of political convenience. Strategically, she went from a bed wench to a wife.๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  21. The media playbook and Black folks' response in these situations is the same. Interview family members and friends on behalf of the victim. Trot out attorney Ben Crump. Might call Rev. Al Sharpton. Black folks get emotional and upset about what happened. There may be a vigil, march or protest. The victim will end up on t-shirts. The dust will settle until another Black person is murdered by racists. Rinse and repeat. We cannot continue to do the same thing and expect different results. That is the definition of insanity.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  22. As ai mentioned, Black men are killing each other in the streets and going to prison for little or nothing. I'm suggesting that energy be redirected. Absolutely not. Africans are afraid of white folks. They would sell us out for less than a plane ticket. I don't think so. There's no shortage of Black men who have military training. Nor am I not suggesting that Black men start shooting random targets. Only the racists who kill our own. For example, that fella who shot up the Tops grocery store in NY. Back women and children would not come under attack if racists knew there would be a price to pay. There was a situation in a Chicago a few months ago where a few Hispanics beat up a Black child. They broke her nose. There's no shortage of gang-bangers in Chi-Town. They should have handled that situation. It would have sent a message. To mess with one of ours has consequences. The reason racists feel comfortable coming against black folks is because we haven't defended ourselves. The only negotiation tactic they understand is violence. Marching and protesting and vigils has only led to tired feet. It hasn't provided us with justice or peace.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  23. Right. Tariq used it at the Rally4Reparations and respecfully shouted out Umar. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  24. Jews are taking an eye for eye multiplied. Kill one of them and lose 33 of your own. The Palestinians are being slaughtered for a sh8tstorm a handful of dudes (Hamas) initiated. The point is Black folks could learn a lesson or three from the Jew in response to being attacked.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  25. The Jews lost about 1,200 people on 0ctober 7th. So far, they have killed about 40,000 Palestinians and counting. That's 33 times more people mostly women and children than they lost in one day.๐Ÿ˜Ž
