It's possoble to follow social media and keep it in perspective. I always "consider the souurce" when perusing its posts, the "delete" button always an option. And as I said, it does have fact checkers and it does apply censorship. So what aoears on it is not all just made up hype. Electing to shut oneself off from the vast world of pop culture is a personal choice. And those wanting to be well rounded individuals who know a little bit about a lot of things, stay in the loop. 'Makes one a better conversationalist. That's a 1950s .mindset. 😉

@Troy What you fail to consider is that the absurdity of the meme's quote about black women is typical of Kirk's narrative and is why he is such an anathma to the Left, and the darling of The Right! Yes, like Trump, he had black followers, because many black Conservatuves agree with the disparagement of Affirmative Action. Inspite of your aversion to social media, their fact checkers have found the memes circulating all over the internet containing Kirk's quotes to be accurate and his followers have not denied his words, mostly because they agree with them. The reason so many on the Left are cynical about Charlie Kirk's death is the undisputed statement this staunch defender of the 2nd amendment made when questioned about the killings of school children. To many, he became a victim of his own words.

@DelanoWell, you seem to be gettimg the most out of your life,as everything starts to come together and you follow your path. Have you ever wondered if the strangers you make eye contact with are kindred souls from another time, or even fellow aliens from the same place as you who are all part of a common mission? Lol I've always suspected I'm an alien and that I'm being monitored. My computerized devices seem to have a mind of their own, sometimes spontaneously deleting what I key. With me, it's my grandson's dog who got pushed off on us. He's a pit-mix and is ambivalent in nature, docile at times, aggressive on other occasions. People say don't make eye contact with pIt bulls but this dog devotes a couple of hours a day to sitting in front of me, staring at me. I think he has a pack mentality and he regards me as a matriarch. Through my voice and demeanor, I can invoke fear in him, causing him to cower and skulk away with his tail between his legs if he does something to annoy me. He only acts this way with me. Then there's this feeling that I can only describe as a gravitational pull.i feel like I weigh a ton and the earth is drawing me down to it. Like there's some kind of metal in my body and the ground is a magnet;an eery feeling... And, of course, I'm still trying to find my purpose in life as I dangle in limbo. Every time I fall asleep it's like I go to a movie. My dreams are like films. For me, time is flying. It's like it has really sped up as one sun rise chases another. My clock is very fickle. You can't make this stuff up! Charlie Kirk's shooter is in custody. And atho the FBI and its creepy director, Kash Patel, who looks like an "Addams Family" character, are taking credit for his capture, the guy's family actually turned him in. Much to the chagrin of the Trump crowd the killer,Tyler Robinson, turns out to be a 22- year-old from a local Utah Mormon family of staunch Republicans. His motivation for the killing reportedly has to do with his fear that Kirk had become too much of a hate-filled racist which was detrimental to Robinson's ideology - whatever that is. As yet, nobody seems able to pinpoint what his politics are but ii has been discerned that he was connected with online activists, which some described as being fascistic. ?? Go figure. A lot of questions remain unanswered, obviously. I have no rational response to a any of this. I can't explain my gut-wrenching revulsion for Trump and his Project 2025 MAGAs because not everything they promote is bad. But I still have this intense dislike for right-wing Conservatives, especially black ones, and most particularly the hypocritical Evangelicals who represent the militant Right "Christians", a group who have captivated one of my sons, causing a serious rift between us. From reading some of Kirk's direct quotes, I cannot honestly say I condemn his killer. Kirk's "chickens came home to roost". Poetic Justice.

Don't assume Kirk's assassin is from the left wing.Trump likes to blame the "radical left" for everything but the guy who took aim at him was a right-winger, as is Luigi Magione, the guy who killed the Insurance Company Company CEO Many assassins turn out to be loners with grudges and no particular political affiliation, and from the looks of this guy on the surveillance camera photos being shown on the news, he's very unintimidating. Not the way you'd picture a hit man. There is really a debate raging on social media and from what The Left is saying, Charlie Kirk was a white supremist and a poster boy for everything Project 2025 stands for. A run for political office seemed certain in his future and Liberals imply the country is - better off without him. Incidentally, Kirk was born and raised in Arlington Heights, Illinois, a mostly white suburb of Chicago - and, coincidently, the place where DA BEARS are rumored to be moving, lured there by the promise of a brand new stadium. If they name it after Kirk, I will disown the team. Finally, a black football player on the Minnesota Vikings team has offered to set up a trust to care for the wife and pay for the college education of millionaire Kirk's 2 small kids, doing this in keeping with the sympathetic element of the black population who think Kirk didn't deserve to be killed just because of his opinions... I, personally, can think of more appropriate things for this black athlete to spend his money on.

Isn't a UFO that was recently discovered headed toward Earth currently being tracked and monitored? The viewpoint that, as Civilzations go, Earth is neither technically nor mentally advanced enough for Aliens to find it worth their scrutiny, is sobering to me. The fact that this guy had a long criminal record and as a repeat offender should not have been released back onto the streets is a factor. This figures into a lot of Chicago's crime and was certainly what led to Cook County States Attorney Kim Foxx's decision to not seek re-election. This sista faced a lot of criticism from both Whites and Blacks and her office was blamed for there being so many criminals roaming the streets, having been set free to commit more crimes. Overcrowded jails contributed to this problem. The situation is fraught with hopelessness. No easy answers.
