  1. Have you read Faces at the bottom of the well by Derrick Bell
  2. The first time I heard it was around 1999 from a psychic.
  3. When has that been the objective? Are you suggesting socialism or the abatement of capitalism, of the Milton Friedman, the market is the best arbiter to distribute resources?
  4. Yes I would be interested in your opinion.
  5. @StefanI have been studying Astrology and have an interest in number and the occult. Yes it is, but I am seeking ways to qualify moments in time both past and future. Sci-Fi could be called Speculative Fiction. People asked me if I saw Pi, I said I am that guy.
  6. A few hallucinations (visions) assist abstract thinking. The end.
  7. Work on your logic. I can use spell check. Your at a disadvantage, you show little signs of thinking (see that gap, yours is a tad bigger) abstractly.
  8. Thanks for the compliment but I was thinking of someone, lower on the food chain. @Stefan
  9. Alphabets are the Graphic User Interface of ideas. So Astrology is just one of the interfaces to information. Yoga Meditation and Music or some others
  10. I suspect that you are both White and Gay. Due to your over the top rhetoric about race and sexuality. And your fawning over the powers of the White Man.
  11. I remeber the first time I went to a strip club. A coworker had a friend that was stripping. I went back because I found the interaction between the Men and the Strippers dynamic more interesting than the stripping. No it would be neither rapey nor would there be an grabbing, unless it was a stripper grabbing those bills at the end of her set. Yes I am not surprised to hear you have been to a few, you seem like you wouldn't be adverse to a lap dance. @daniellegfny
  12. You and I see things very differently. I feel Cynique was saying was, that there weren't grammatical errors. It is interesting that you mention that you are time poor. Since when I said that I had more time than you, at my disposable you bristled. You may not have noticed but I have a different tone. Less mentally combative and argumentative. I am aware that my writing in the past was a cryptic both intentionally and unintentionally. If you are interested I can help you maximise your time or get the most out of your efforts. Although I have to say that I do enjoy writers when they post here. Their voice or style infuses their writing. When I was hanging out in New York I use to read at a few of the poetry nights. I read this controversial piece and another poet came up and liked the piece. He was the resident poet at the Langston Hughes House in Harlem. It was a poem where the first letter of the word followed the letter of the alphabet. I didn't know this was a type of poem. Arriving Bulldykes Can Decide F@#$ing Girls Has Its Joys, Knowingly Let Me Not Obey Pudendum Quivering Restraints ... I can't remember the rest, I wrote it more than 20 years ago.
  13. You once said that you don't proof your post. You used to have lots of typos I was worse than you. A bit more context What this says to me is that you, and Troy, and Pioneer often write what you don't mean to write, and don't realize this. This is something Mel never does. Her writing is perfect. - Cynique
  14. I was going to agree with you, but I do recall one incompetent Black guy at Merrill Lynch. No the sites I go to don't have paywalls, otherwise I wouldn't go to them. I am going to piggy back on a distinction you made about the difference between writer and reporters. Cynique was a writer and a thinker. Troy is a better thinker than writer. Pioneer is a better writer than thinker. Even though I don't comment, I find the interaction between Stefan and daniellegfny interesting. Even you profile names are a study in contrast.
  15. That wasn't the bet Troy. "Cyniquian" Level Administrators 2,691 10,552 posts Posted April 29, 2018 @Delano I think the 90 days of delay buys me more time... Wanna bet $50 45 finishes the year? "Cyniquian" Level Members 1,160 4,074 posts Author Posted April 29, 2018 Yes Troy it's a bet. Trump doesn't finish the year Members 134 751 posts Posted April 30, 2018 Can I get some of that? I do not believe Trump will survive his presidency to 2020 or even to mid-terms. In-fact, I predict his presidency will end, one way or another, just before the mid-terms when the GOP realize abandoning his is their only hope. But I'll be too late to save their party from further domination of Congress. Of course, I'll have to send a $50.00 Western Union transfer. Any taker's
  16. "They don't want to be Rich or they just aren't capable of using their "whiteness" paraphrasing Pioneer.
  17. He is charismatic and a gifted orator as well. I can't recall seeing an authentic smile from Donald Trump. I think some did and do for what it represents as a symbol. I remember some older Black women (can't recall men, or couples) having a picture and it had Martin Luther King Jr., John F. Kennedy, and Robert Kennedy.
  18. Determining causality is almost as difficult as identifying motivation, at least it is for me.
  19. I have notice that the quality of writing in Newspapers? has declined. This may be a function of economics. I recall a museum site using a page from Wikipedia for an Artist's biography. I can't recall but it was a major museum.
  20. @Chevdove I will say a prayer that you find some peace in all of this turmoil. If you like to join me at 28 minutes passed the hour for a minute. Amen

  22. @daniellegfny and @Stefan what lead you to becoming a writer?
  23. @Pioneer1 how would you describe how Cynique thought about you and your ideas?
