  1. as an ebook writer, I Can say a lot about this, but the reality is authors of ebooks need to ban am*zon ourselves. Stop publishing through them. am*zon comprehends one key point, most artists whether they want to admit it or not, are so desperate to make a dollar, that they are unwilling to risk any financial penalty, thus they gamble the safest financially, and that means publishing through am*zon in the ebook world.

We are our own worst enemies! I don't publish ish through am*zon.  I did once and then I immediately pulled the book off because it felt wrong.  What I don't understand is why anyone would publish through that website.  Thank you for sharing the article.

you know why someone will use am*zon   @Mel Hopkins   It is the same reason people are on facebook or twitter. The reality is, online populaces were allowed to be controlled through various mechanisms. Bill clinton was president and like with welfare to work, he didn't comprehend the internet in the same way he didn't comprehend labor.... am*zon is the biggest retailer online, sequentially, they have a user base online that is massive. am*zon was the first to go into the ebook arena. combine their user base with being first in a new market and the rest is history. It is cheap retrospect, but I have always said that a better management of the internet by an engineer, not a lawyer, like bill clinton would had been more efficient long term, but it is too late now , at least in the usa
