Stefan, this is the second time that I've read a post of yours implying that your memes are not welcomed here. Am I mis reading you? If not why do you feel that way? First you have to accept the fact the without a strong Black news platform you really don't know what Black people are screaming about. White corporate media loves to cover outrage over police killings and they should, but they rarely coverage Black outrage over Black crimes. Maybe they want to come across as "woke." Where crime is bad there are always Black people expressing outrage, they are just not gonna trend on Twitter or make the evening news.

Of course I do, color has nothing to do with it. Rittenhouse should have kept his butt at home and not placed himself in a dangerous situation. Age has nothing to do with the content. So you you are not familiar with "tabloid" used in the content that I used it, so I will ask you this question, are you at all familiar with the NY Post? Have you ever seen the print version of the newspaper? Again sources matter. I don't treat Twitter or Facebook as a news source, so personally I do not care that they filter news. Actually, I do care because so many people use Facebook's websites and I care about how the population is informed, as misinformed people directly impacts my life. @Mzuri, I looked at the first link you posted and the article said, "Primarily, the platform vowed to crack down on tweets that represent a 'denial of expert guidance.'" I actually don't see anything wrong with doing that. In the early days of the pandemic someone who posted here regularly, started sharing all types of misinformation that directly conflicted the science -- it was classic conspiracy rife with links to all types of sites exposing mis information and lies -- even saying Black people were immune to covid. Now I did not ban him but I challenged every lie he posted. He ultimately left removing all of his posts. Now Twitter has far too many trolls to deal with on an individual basis, so I would not blame them for reacting the way that they did. But again, we should not be seeking important information from Twitter @Stefan I just ran a search on "Kyle Rittenhouse" on Facebook and I got results.

I just read the book. While it is a picture books, the text and subject matter are more appropriate, in my opinion, for a middle grade reader. The "born of the water" is a reference to the water we crossed to get to America. I don't think the notion is "absurd," but folks can certainly disagree on whether that was the best metaphor.

As much distain I have for Rittenhouse, If the Post's reporting about Facebook is true -- that is crazy! I would never take the word of the NY Post (or the Daily Mail) and other tabloids at face value. If I had the time, I would probe a bit deeper to find a primary source (like Facebook own words) to determine if the Post's headline is actually accurate. I think this is an important subject, but something tells me it is just typical tabloid sensationalism. #sourcesmatter

We have move two parties, but not enough people choose those candidates. would it matter anyway? lobbyists would just buy out those politicians too. The system, as it is set up, is completely broken. OK and TX were gerrymandered, eliminating any influence from non-republicans.

I agree. I don’t believe being a Republican automatically means you are a racist, regardless of your skin color. There are plenty of people in both parties who marginalize Black people and their businesses.

So, if you are white and republicans you are a racist, and if you are Black and republican you are a soulless sellout? Does that sound right?

Impossible? No we can not get ALL the guns off the street but we can get most of them off the street and reduce the number of murders. Racism will be eradicated over time. Indeed it is disappearing as we speak. It will only last a small portion of of time on this Earth in a hundred years we will look back on the concept of racism the same way we look look at blood letting as a medical practice a flat Earth.

Apparently 10 officers have died during these interactions. The presumptions is that all of these killing were unjustified -- surely some were justified. What is the percentage? The articles says "often" the stops are financially motivated I wonder how they justify making that assertion. Do they know how many stops do not result in fines? Or how many stops warranted a fine. but the violator was let off with a warning? 400 hundred was killed but what is the trend. If it was 200 in year 1, 150 in year 2, 75 on year 3, 50 in year 4 and 25 in year 5 I was call this good news. I don't suspect this is the case, but the trend matters. Read like the article is attempting to depict the US as a bunch of guns crazed lunatics. The case for this can be easily made without bias 😉

Yeah cause we know this will help. One of the white boys Rittenhouse shot (but managed not to kill) had a loaded Glock. He did gun did not help him. In fact it is the very reason he was shot... You want a country where it is cool for teenagers to travel across the country and kill protestors if they feel threated?

Yes, but the laws are no longer racist, indeed many are anti-racist There are laws dole out harsher sentences for crimes when racism is shown to be a factor. American culture dictates that people always operate to benefit themselves financial gain is the motivator, race incidental. Do you think Zuckerberg, Bezos, and Musk are motivated by racism? I don’t think racism is our biggest problem today. The biggest threat to my business, and therefore me, is not some Klansman, but Amazon’s and Google’s monopolies. Americans legacy of over racism has definitely had an effect over the generations, but we could make up for that today if we simply stopped enriching the world’s largest companies and marginalizing our own businesses.

To be clear, I inextricably link the science with the social construct. I don't view the two separately. So the idea that White supremists are the ones who perpetuate the myth of race does not make sense to be. We do not have to believe what they believe. There are no longer laws which subjugate people based upon their skin color, so why should be care what a white racist thinks and factor their world view into our own?
