A digital marketer, Tisdale Marketing Solutions, came by the pop-up store, took some photos, and posted this information on Instagram. I thought it was pretty cool, because I've provided the same type of free promotion for dozens of stores around the country. It is interesting being on the other side if the camera, benefiting from someone else largess 🙂

@Pioneer1 The Hebrew Israelites were in Greenwood section of Tulsa which has come to be known as black Wall Street. The main street is Archer St right off Greenwood Avenue (the “G” and “A” of the GAP Band) and the Hebrew Israelites were set up there a couple of doors from my pop-up. You know the routine… amplified speaker periodically telling someone to “read” another brother making believe he’s shooting video, etc. they were more or less respectful engaging with the brother, but these exchanges are fruitless as each side is firm. The Hebrew Israelite told the brother “oh you won’t believe me so let me get the white man’s book and read from there maybe you’ll believe him.” As soon as I heard him say that I knew his information was propaganda. generally you’re going to need to read from a serious white historian or black source to get the truth about anything dealing with the fruits of Africa, including Christianity. You and the Hebrew Israelites are in complete agreement here

Just because you know "Quite a few" people who said something, does not mean the MMR vaccine is a conspiracy to kill Black people. First this is all hearsay and even if it was true, who knows why the kids' personality changed -- it could be a variety of things -- including normal development. Yes infant mortality is WAY down thanks, in part, to the MMR vaccine, but Black people are also living longer (save last year because of the pandemic). Lets be clear more people will continue die, needlessly, suffering on ventilators, struggling to breathe... simply because they were not vaccinated or infected by someone else who would not get vaccinated to wear a stupid mask.

Dude that is not a "Fact." The "fact" is that is a conspiracy is a conspiracy theory. THINK! More Black boys died from the diseases virtually eradicated by the vaccines Black boys take as children. A FAR more effective way of killing Black people would be to keep the vaccines from us. 🙂 Of course this is true. "Bad" people can raise good or even great people, and great people can rear bad people. This sounds like what a eugenicist would say. No he was reformed by other people and his own will. Of course Black should get the vaccine. "They" could have used the MMR vaccine which far more people, including kids, take if they wanted to kill us off. Social media has been far more effective in controlling us; indeed one could argue THAT is the tool confusing so many people NOT to take the vaccine and is THE reason some many more of are dying than necessary. You should live you life on your terms. The "fight" is for young people anyway... Elders should be sought for advise and counsel; to provide motivation and lessons learned. Young Black people are rarely interested in learning from older people, so we reinvent the wheel and make the same mistakes. Often elders refuse to relishing the reins and hold on to power far too long... Some people think that is what the aliens are here to do 🙂 Seriously, it will not take a miracle. Mortality will be the solution. In 20 years Trump, Mitch McConnell and the old school racist will be out of office and almost certainly be dead.

Absolutely. Slavery and the effect of racism would be impossible without the North. NYC is as racist as any place I've been in the United States. They are just far more sophisticated about it -- but not always as these and many other videos show. The schools I attended were FAR more segregated that the ones my Black cousins attended in the south. I did not go to a school with a white person until I was in High School and that was because I went to a magnet high school. If I went to my "zoned," neighborhood, school it would have been just as segregated. Now schools with only Black students don't have to me bad, but our schools had virtually all white teachers -- none of whom lived in Black communities -- some lived in communities like the one pictured above. The schools were also lacking in resources for the students.

This video is sad and resonates because in 1978 or '79 I experienced something very similar in the same borough of NYC. My girlfriend, at the time, and I were walking, not too far from her neighborhood, just like these kids were doing on their bicycles. It is something we did as kids—explored our surroundings. We were not surrounded by a mob but white kids started throwing rocks at us and made it clear we were not welcome and would not be allowed to walk on their streets. When you get a mob involved things can really escalate quickly. If the camera's were not around things could have been much worse for these kids. If they were living in home in Queens during this time, I'm sure they were good middle class kids -- of a much higher social standing and rearing than the white people who where hurling racial epithets, rocks, and blows. Those white racist kids go on to become the cops, teachers, nurses who would work in Black neighborhoods....

It probably would be a good thing, but I'm an optimist.

One of the things I like to do when I visit a new city is to check out the indie bookstores. It is almost always a pleasurable experience -- especially when the owner is happy to talk shop. Such was the case at Boarding House Books in Claremore, OK Claremore, OK is a really small town in North Eastern, OK. I have lived in an apartment complex with more apartments than there are people who live in all of Claremore. Its most famous residents include Patti Page and Will Rogers. Claremore, like the rest of state, is Trump Country. I actually went to Claremore for a completely unrelated reason and stumbled across the store strolling down their "main street," something I also like to do when visiting small communities. I just like the idea of a neighborhood that has a strip of indie stores run by local people. The streets are often named Main Street and are very quaint -- I like them. NYC's 125th street was the closest thing we had in Harlem to a "Main Street," but now it is over run with multination chains that have robbed the community of its character. At any rate, I was surprised to come upon what appeared to be a modest store front bookstore. I was looking for the book Leviathan Wakes by James S. A. Corey and was told to go to room #8 upstairs. I was surprised the store had a 2nd floor that was twice the foot print of the first floor. The store was actually larger than any bookstore I've seen in Harlem (back when Harlem actually had indie bookstores). We quickly found the book I was looking for and spent the next hour pouring over the volumes. I had an arm full of books, both new and used. I would have purchased many more books, but I was starting to get carried away 🙂 The owner, a woman about my age, told me she had over 40K books in her store. She knew exactly how many books she had because she had them all in an database. I was impressed, so she showed me the software she used. She also gave us a tour of the store and explained its history. The owner, Janice Whitaker (pictured with me below), also told me she was had a degree in Electrical Engineering and an MBA. I was like, "So do I! How in the world did we end up becoming booksellers" She is also a passionate cyclist (as am I) and I said we need to take a photo together. I've been all over the country visiting stores like Janice's. I wish the economics, in places like Harlem, permitted stores like Boarding House Books to exist.

The Amsterdam News is still in business. I used to subscribe in Florida, but my subscription lapsed over the past year. The ONLY place I can find this book is on Amazon's site (the website from the article is still down). The book. apparently published in 2019. is not available form any of the distributors I deal with. Yeah we could all be the product of some young alien's science project; sort of like what an ant farm would be to us, except the alien kid created everything. Maybe the so called alien aircraft (UFO's) are their way of observing us, through a high-tech 3D microscope, of sorts, that can allow an observer to look at us through space and time.
