  7. @richardmurray I’m heading out of town for a few days, so next week is perfect. haha.. teaser: this can go in any direction. The air is brisk, the sky is gloomy and mysterious with the moon fighting for a peek beyond the clouds…
  8. I had an interesting conversation with someone who said that it’s impossible to write about something that you have not experienced on some level. What do you think? Is a wordsmith a storyteller with a vivid imagination that is able to disconnect from one’s own direct or indirect experiences? For me, I write what comes to mind and build from there - simply allowing my thoughts to flow (Random Thoughts) after which I review, rehash, develop and formulate until my hand tells me to stop. i even enjoy and appreciate the misspellings, the grammatical errors the various interpretations and uncertainties that result. for me, like art, there is no wrong way, and Like my art, my writing style is not for everyone - choices. What ingredients make you a Storyteller?
  9. What’s that sound outside my door?!
  10. @richardmurray WOW, this is a fascinating read! Collaborative storytelling breads innovative creativity that stimulates thought while keeping one intrigued about what will happen next and with whose version. I likey!!! i would be interested in a project like this!!! Count me in!!!
  11. @richardmurray when I think about Zora’s experience, I’m like, ‘Good for you, sis. Now take those experiences and inspire others who didn’t even know Eatonville-like experiences was even a thing’. Bruh, easier said than done I can relate to Joe and Herbs experience because - you don’t even know that there’s green grass on the other side. And even if you’ve had a glimpse of the green grass, the glimpse can be intimidating. Like many of us, you do better when you know better’. Perhaps they know, now, that they have choices beyond their existence, and the glimpse = possibilities. Choices be like… Thanks for sharing! I enjoyed the read
  12. BLACK GIRL MAGIC, ff!!!
  13. what are some of your favorite poems by black authors? Maya, Angelou’s, Still I Rise. LOVE IT!!! It's life-changing, spirit-boosting, reminiscent of the power of our ancestors, reasons to love, laugh, forgive, stand in our truth, persevere and have the audacity to smile, wink and walk away gracefully.
  14. @Stefan @richardmurray I smile, I ponder, I reminisce, I reflect, I get emotional, I wish, I try to get in your head, I resolve my thoughts of the photo, I wonder what reaction you expect from me & I wonder what you were thinking when you took 'that' shot? INCREDIBLY POWERFUL!! Thanks for sharing your artistry.
