For gaye + Terrell their interpretation collection is deemed a standard so this is a potentially hard question but I wonder your thoughts? Some are great sing/alongs but none rise to the level of favorite. Eric Benet and Tamia’s “spend my life” feels like the songwriters lived those words. Report
February 19, 20233 yr comment_59050 The diversity and range of artists is interesting. Infact, I find it delightfully interesting for some reason. Kind of like wanting to get into the minds of some of you to find out why you choose the particular songs you did and what that background was behind the reasons you liked them. I'm convinced that if we were doing "something" that brought us intense joy, love, happiness at the time a particular song was playing....it would seal that song in our minds as a favorite even if otherwise hearing it would wouldn't have cared too much for it. To make it clear, those songs aren't exactly my "favorites" in the sense of there being no songs better than them. They're just a FEW of my favorites. I could list about 30 or 40 songs in each category that I enjoy just as much. Report

They were just eclectic samples chosen for their lyrics and unique stylings; the rawness of Wilson Pickett, the ecstasy of Aretha Franklin, and the harmony of Marvin and Tammye. Love in its different ways of expression. i could've just as easily submitted "Adore" by Prince, "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston, and "Come To Me" by James Ingram and Patti Austin. (Back in the Day, any love song that my husband and i danced to would apply to all 3 of the categories.) Report
