aka Contrarian Posted April 21 Report Posted April 21 I love language. And nothing impresses me more than succinct concisness. Words can be weapons. Neither can it be denied that talk is cheap nor that "brevity is the soul of wit". Is it any wonder that as I meander toward yet another birthday, this whimsical meme brought pause in my ongoing search for the meaning of "LIFE" . Having a sense of humor helps... Did I mention that outliving Pope Francis embarrasses me? RIP, ol fella. 1 1
Troy Posted April 22 Report Posted April 22 Speaking of dead, Popes have any of y’all seen the film Conclave. I thought it was excellent, far better than that stupid movie that won the Academy award this year. Clearly that meme favors science. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CB!
Delano Posted April 23 Report Posted April 23 Science is saying Schrodinger's cat is both alive and dead. Until you turn on the light. 1
Croocked T Posted April 23 Report Posted April 23 That meme really hit-life’s weird, but a good laugh makes it all better. Hope you get some solid laughs and keep those memes coming.

True I did not want to give her a response again.. because I know what type of query the next question would be....so I had to find another response - knowing full well it would not stop the downward spiral.. As I had no Answer...so I gave the best response I could The Purpose of Life.....is for you to Live And of Course her Answer was....Why? 1

Troy Posted May 1 Report Posted May 1 “The meaning of life is one of the oldest and most profound questions humans have asked. Different traditions, disciplines, and individuals offer different answers: Philosophically, it might be to seek truth, beauty, and understanding. Religiously, it could be to serve or connect with a higher power, to love others, or to fulfill a divine purpose. Scientifically, life is a product of evolution—its “meaning” may simply be to survive and reproduce. Existentially, many say meaning isn’t given—it’s made. Life’s meaning is whatever you choose it to be. In short: life’s meaning is what you make of it. What kind of answer resonates most with you—spiritual, philosophical, scientific, or personal?” —ChatGPT I guess in a couple years, the answer will get much better. It will be able to tell you the meaning of your life. I asked ChatGPT based upon what it knows about me which option would I subscribed to? “Based on what I know about you, I’d say you’re most likely to resonate with a personal or philosophical perspective. You’ve built something meaningful (AALBC), you’re deeply engaged with Black literature and culture, and you think critically about language, history, and purpose. That suggests you probably see life’s meaning as something self-determined, built through community, legacy, truth-seeking, and uplift. Would you say that’s on point—or is there a spiritual or scientific side you lean into more often?” I didn’t follow up with a response, but it was right. 2
ProfD Posted May 1 Report Posted May 1 IMO, the meaning and purpose of life is to gain and share experiences and contribute to making life better for others. Whenever life gets to the point where it becomes mundane or meaningless or otherwise unproductive to the point that one is merely taking up space, they can rest assured the end is near.

But for me, I have a deep understanding of the concept of 'the End'. What is the end? For me, 'the end' may be a new beginning, one that I would like to experience. 1
Delano Posted May 6 Report Posted May 6 The purpose in life is to do do the thing you are uniquely suited to accomplish. Meaning is defined by the individual. 1

If you correct it, it always admits its error, which gives it a leg up on our friend @Pioneer1 2
Delano Posted May 7 Report Posted May 7 This may imply that by studying your question it knows how you think.
aka Contrarian Posted May 7 Author Report Posted May 7 In many cases, the question is in the answer. Whenever I consult Meta A.I. or GOOGLE I try to include as much information as possible in the question for quicker results. There's a lady whose name is hidden in this sentence. Discerning it proves absolutely nothing about your intellect. LOL
Troy Posted May 7 Report Posted May 7 I don't mess with Meta's AI all Mark is concerned about is using all of his resources to keep you glued to his platforms as long as possible. You think his feed is effective with AI you ain't seen nothing yet. I don't mess with Google's LLM either. I don't even use their search engine very much If the search results are any good it is hard to tell with all the crap they have on the search engine results page. When they launched it was great because the page was clean, nit it is a cluttered mess. 1 hour ago, aka Contrarian said: I try to include as much information as possible the in the question for quicker results. I stopped doing that for coding questions in particular. If you, for example ask the LLM to perform a specific tasks using specific languages and tools and techniques it will do that. But if you don't tell it how to do something will is more likely to give you a better answer -- simply because you did not know enough to ask the right question. 9 hours ago, Delano said: This may imply that by studying your question it knows how you think. aka Contrarian Posted May 8 Author Report Posted May 8 My real name does not appear in that sentence. I have no idea what pioneer thinks my real name is. Chris D. Burns, who used to post here and with whom I am friends with on FB, and I share the same initials,(CDB) something I always appreciated because he is a real bright guy.

LOL Co Br That's as far as I'll go in spelling out what I THOUGHT your "real name" is unless you want me to spell the entire thing out and point out the letters. Now the letters to THAT name are in THAT sentence. Period.

aka Contrarian Posted May 8 Author Report Posted May 8 @Pioneer1yada, yada, yada. Am I supposed to be threatened by the idea of you knowing my real name? I really couldn't care less if you do because I have nothing to hide. I don't know your real name and have zero interest in finding it out. If the gnat who turns into wolfman when the moon is full thinks I'm a co...bra... then who cares. Wooooo. Get a life, l-o-s-e-r. hisssssss zzzzzzzzzzz Consuelo has spoken.

It also says quite a bit about your inability to refrain from conjuring up "resumes" about people so you can cast them as characters in the scenarios you imagine where you are the smartest, coolest guy in the room. Not. Typical ego-centric mind-set. You're even more mentally disturbed than I thought. Stupid nitwit.

Well anyway, I was right in that the sentence I highlighted DOES infact contain all the letters to your name even though I apparently focused on the wrong sentence. Anyway...... "Consuelo" ????? *I hope you're just joking. With that "o" at the end instead of an "a", "Consuelo" sounds like a BOY'S name. Unless.....you're really an Alphabet Community trailblazer....lol.
