But still the technological progress since I started this website has been astounding. The tech back then was from the stone age relatively speaking and so much more expensive. The barriers to entry to creating something on the web back when I started were relatively high. Today the only barrier, besides the tech giants, is one's imagination. Perhaps that has always been the case. Report

Part of why the world is so screwed up is people out of touch with Reality.Months ago I asked a SIS to do a steel distribution estimate: The distribution of steel in a skyscraper more than 1,000 feet tall is generally such that the majority of the steel is concentrated in the lower sections of the building. This is because the lower portions must bear the weight of the entire structure above them, requiring more robust and stronger materials. Here is a generalized breakdown of how the steel might be distributed by percentage in each 10% segment of the building's height:1. Bottom 10% (0-10%): Approximately 25-30% of the total steel2. 10-20%: Approximately 15-20% of the total steel3. 20-30%: Approximately 10-15% of the total steel4. 30-40%: Approximately 8-10% of the total steel5. 40-50%: Approximately 7-8% of the total steel6. 50-60%: Approximately 5-7% of the total steel7. 60-70%: Approximately 4-5% of the total steel8. 70-80%: Approximately 3-4% of the total steel9. 80-90%: Approximately 2-3% of the total steel10. Top 10% (90-100%): Approximately 1-2% of the total steelThese percentages are illustrative and can vary depending on the specific design, structural requirements, and architectural choices of the building. April 20Apr 20 comment_81350 @umbrarchist Is expecting experts in the field of Physics who continue to ignore or expose the twin towers enigma you describe and attach importance to, an example of YOU being out of touch with reality in thinking what you have exposed is important?? Especially since not exposing the discrepancy about what amount of steel was poured where, has not had an impact on the 20+ years since the twin towers collapse. What big difference would knowing what you know make to a population already cynical about its Government. Being deceived is nothing new, something I'm sure others have called to your attention. You are obviously out of touch in attaching great importance to this quirk you are fixated on. The reality is: it is what it is.After all these centuries, engineers are still trying to figure out the meta-physics of HOW the pyramids were built. Who ever has their priorities together enough to figure out the answer to that puzzle, could win a Pulitzer Prize!OTOH, maybe you could share the truth about the construction of the twin towers with the Trump administration. Haven't military officers taken oaths to defend the Constitution? But then there is the really important issue which is also related to Physics. And another case of "Experts" not dealing with Relevant Data. Automobiles depreciating due to wear and tear but the data not being incorporated into the Net Domestic Product. The professor, a Brother, NEVER made this assertion. Even if he did, proof actually means something. "Proof" is not based upon what someone says. Conspiracy theorist often claim they have proof when they don't.I never said he did.....that was the name or caption of the video clip/link.Sorry it threw you off.....what I did say was that we are sims or ghost in the machine....6 hours ago, Troy said:Another typical conspiracy theorist talking point. This is why we have organizations doing the research. Where do you find the time, intellect, skill, tools, funding, and resources to do your own research on covid, WTC collapse, contrails, veracity of the moon landing, etc?I don't.....I listen to people who work for those organizations that do.....Now when the voices diverge....then you know something is being lied about or covered up....could also be a difference of opinion based on interpretation of data. Here is where your or our intellect /discernment comes into play Report
14 hours ago14 hr Author comment_81574 @frankster so you’re going to defend that video as scientific evidence. I wasn’t just slamming the caption which was clearly misleading. I was slamming the content of the video, but I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree on that one. Report

5 hours ago5 hr Author comment_81578 @frankster below I have embedded the video you shared. There are several tells which gives me pause when consuming content online. I would have normally stopped watching 5 seconds into the video, but since you shared it and it was only 5 minutes long, I watched the thing twice (once when you first posted it and again just now).I would have immediately skipped it after 5 seconds because the voice over said Professor Gates Proves the voice over said we live in a virtual reality simulation. This is simply false on it's face.Dr. Tyson was respectful but clearly was not buying into Gates' theory -- again, Gates himself never said he had "proof."Sure, it is a provocative notion and sure to garner some views (34K in 7 years), but you also have to consider the source: Who is "Simulation Secrets" and what is their motivation?Their YouTube presence is marginal, small even when compared to mine only 164K total views on the channel. It is used to promote a self-published book, Simulation Secrets: Don't Be Afraid by Casper Stith. Now the question becomes, who is Casper Stith. and why should we believe him? Again, when an unknown and uncredentialled person makes hyperbolic claims, I am very wary of what they have to say and generally don't invest my time into what they are sharing. There are simply too many vetted and reputable sources generating fascinating content to be dealing with fringe lunacy.@frankster you seem like a reasonable person why do you trust anything Stith is sharing? Did you know that he is also a Flat Earther? Stith also wrote a book entitled, The Earth is Flat: Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid. Does this give you pause?I eagerly await your response. Report
