An African History of Africa by Zeinab Badawi.

An African History.jpg

History has always been interesting to me, and when it comes to Africa, it is even more. This book my groupmate recommended me, and as I'm working on one project connected to history, I decided to read it and see whether some info from there can be used. Such writing tasks are not always easy, even if there are books, so from time to time, I use https://essays.edubirdie.com, which helps me a lot. Professionals know where to find even more information and resources, so if I need some expert help this time, I will use it. But for now, I'm focused on a book, and I still have plenty of time.

I've heard about this book, but have not read it yet.

Do you like it?

Hey @Maurice The Crisis of the Negro Intellectual is a classic. I have not read it. What do you think about it? Does reasonate today?

What I find curious is that the description of the book does not mention Hubert Henry Harrison. The somewhat shocking thing is that I never heard of him until his book, When Africa Awakes, turned up in Project Gutenberg. It almost looks like the Official Negro Intellectuals shoved him under the rug.

I saw an article in a local Jewish newspaper (Long Island) about Harriet Tubman becoming a one-star brigadier general in the Maryland Army National Guard on Veterans Day (Monday, November 11, 2024). After an online search, I found this wonderful history book about the Combahee River Raid during the US Civil War and thoroughly enjoying learning more about Tubman and this important event.
