  4. You may want to evaluate your obsession with disparaging a deceased Black man who accomplished more for a Chocolate City as mayor in half the amount of time you spent at the Daily Planet. You started a thread. Didn't inform us about anything we didn't already know. Nor did you provide any ideas of how to stop Orange Julius from coming back into power. I plan to do exactly what Dick Gregory suggested the 1st time around before Orange Julius was elected. There's nothing Black folks can do to stop white privilege. There's common ground between us as I also enjoy reading brotha @Delano whenever he comes through and drops his insight. This coming election is a joke. Two old azz white men looking to run the country into the ground from different directions. The only thing both candidates have in common is maintaining the system of racism white supremacy. @Stefan, I have it good authority that you can rest assured your situation won't get any better or worse. It's called a holding pattern.
  5. Yeah, I have no idea of why @Stefan crawls out from under his rock and heads to the nearest library to use a computer and post his offerings and put downs. This discussion forum already has a small contingent of regular posters. Many lurkers based on view count. The regulars keep the discussions going. If we waited on Stefan to show up and provide content this forum would be drier than Arizona. Instead of stumbling in every now and then to scold us for one reason or three, it would be awesome if he could find something he likes about hanging out here. If flying in and insulting us makes Stefan feel better about himself, my recommendation would be to get up from the library computer and check out a book on mental health wellness for the constant curmudgeon. Whatever happened while @Stefan was the editorial supervisor at the Daily Planet is between him and them. Nobody here fired or forced him to turn his pens, paper and typewriter to retire. I have no idea of how or why justice for Elijah McClain became the reason for Stefan who seems to be an overly-sensitive senior citizen trying to insult a consistent member of this forum and someone who really could give two f8cks less about what he (Steffie) thinks. Thanks @aka Contrarian for acknowledging my contribution to the forum. As you know, even in the midst of our dust-ups, I'll forever be your #1 fan around here. There's nothing you can do about it.
  6. Folks like me would ask you to describe your ideal society, and then we'd focus on building that world. We would never discuss what you dislike because that would only invite more. So, what's your ideal society? For example, One element I'd include in designing my ideal society is the freedom to pursue our highest ideals without infringing on the rights of others. So, I'll look for examples of that lifestyle and promote what is working to generate more energy for those ideas. Here's an example of someone, Dr. D. J. Tillman, who is pursuing her highest ideals, so I know it can be done.

  8. Considering how he is so quick to chide others for their petty bickering, I am stunned by Stefan's "picking a fight" and engaging in an exchange of insults with ProfD whose non combative civility I have always appreciated, along with his articulate and informative postings, that are always laced with a hint of humor. Most endearing of all, unlike the mercurial Stefan, ProfD has the good graces to not take himself too seriously, which is why I especially feel compelled to come to his defense even if, as demonstrated, he is perfectly capable of defending himself. When all is said and done, we are all just voices in the wind and life goes on.
  9. You have to be one of the dumbest posters in memory.
  10. ProfD, The admirer of big city mayors who smoke crack and had to be cajoled home when they were drunk … I did not deign to offer advice. As the Senior News Writer and Senior News Editor I was paid to be for 26 years … I merely informed. And what did you do? You attacked. You never explain anything. You just get jealous. Just as I pointed out. But the next move is up to individuals such as yourself. So, what is the man who idealized Marion Barry gonna do? What’s your plan? Especially since Trump has offered scant details of his “Reich” scenario. One of my online pals termed Trump’s coming politico/racist/criminal agenda as: “The Turd Reich.” I did hear from a poster whose words I had longed to read. This poster is Delano. A calm, gifted and logical chronicler of events and happenings. Delano is as thoughtful as Prof D is childish. Put your Reasoning caps on, people. This coming election is not a joke. I trust Chevdove stays well. That has to come from folks like you.

  12. Our future is what we will fight and work hard to make it. Things in the past like Slavery and Jim Crow Segregation were far worse than what any of us under age seventy can possibly imagine. Things aren't as good as they could or should be. But our situation is far better than it was. It's up to us. Systemic Racism, this prevailing brand of predator Capitalism, and the Trumpist threat to freedom and democracy are challenges that can be met and overcome if we stand strong and get involved. We can restore black marriage, reclaim our neighborhoods from violent crime, and build bigger more lucrative businesses. But this requires us to be better individuals. It means practices real love that corrects, rebukes, encourages, and supports each other as family members and friends. Nothing good is guaranteed. Nothing bad is inevitable.
  13. I ignore irrelevant questions and comments. Water seems it's on level. So I just communicate with people I feel are on my level or can think of see past what they see. @aka Contrarian
  14. I am practicing stoicism but I am leaning towards nihilism. The only thing I believe is symbolism and numbers reveal the Truth. At the moment the only things I possess are memorabilia and knowledge about time.
  15. I was watching this documentary last night - and the filmmaker mentioned said “this is the way of all true masters!” In short, “acceptance” and keep it moving. In fact, this is also Tai Chi so not to let your energy work against you. Thank you! I was letting the world get to me today - and instead of just chilling - I stressed myself out. I needed to read, “who gives a damn” to chill out!
  16. I hadn't noticed it but your photo looks like a circuit. Your left foot is taking in energy. Your left arm is a closed loop and you right hand is giving the energy to the tree. We take in energy with out left hand a give it out with our right hand.
  17. I used to live with my Aunt. I had a crystal ball on my nightstand . I used to hold it as well and try to see images in it. One day my Aunt moved it. On that day we had a few telepathic connections. Freaked her out, she said she wouldn't touch it again. Some years back I went to a group discussion. Two friends brought a friend of theirs. They thought she would like it and should meet me. We were in the same group. She didn't speak. Usually I stay and have a drink after the topical discussion. And have a chat with the other members. However this time a friend was playing music so I left. As I am walking down the street I felt impelled to go back. As I am walking back I walked through three portals . One was a square, one was a triangle and one was a square. I saw them in my mind and then they expanded and I walked through them. Each time I felt different. When I got back I sat next to the women my friends brought with them. She told me later that I read her mind twice , it freaked her out and she didn't talk to me. I also was able to pick up an image from one of the friends who bought her. She told me later that she had felt unsettled from energy before I came into the group . She noticed it stopped when I left. Then she started to feel the energy again and when I walked in she new it was me. I noticed her and the thought popped into my head she's too young. I played a song called Love is Alive. She said yes it is as I got off the bus . We met up five years later. She gave me a time I told her the exact time we would meet. She thought no way, it doesn't take that long to get there, Del is just doing his number thing. Turns out she missed her stop. When she got off the train there was a clock. The time was exactly what I said down to to the second. We realised we liked each other. A few months later I went to visit her. We hit it off and ended up having a daughter. I have been interested in the esoteric since I was a preteen. I knew a few psychics, that were the real deal. A few witches and one wizard. So you are not crazy. It is difficult to make sense of a reality that has limitations when those constrictions don't circumscribe you. The best psychic channeler told me not to doubt myself doubt the world. So I pass this on to you as well. I used to think the wizard was so far ahead of me . Since he could read auras and had studied hieroglyphics. One day he told me I was a wizard as well. I told him I knew. It took me a long time to realise that a lot of what I was seeking I already had it. I wasn't cognizant because the talents weren't expressed in the way I thought they would express themselves.
  18. @Mel HopkinsOf course you are correct. Pay me no mind. Just making a nuisance of myself by playing the "contrarian". I have this pesky habit of needling people so I can educe an intelligent rebuttal from them. It doesn't always work, but I can always depend on you to enlighten me. My exploration of existentialism has advanced into a flirtation with nihilism so I often find myself lapsing into a "who gives a damn" mode when it comes to this f**ked up world. I know that I know nothing.zzzzz
  19. You've presented the problem but what is the solution to this dilemma?
  20. If the committee chair recognized Rep. Crockett, she could ask questions or seek clarification about Oversight Chairman James Comer's ruling regarding Marjorie Taylor Greene's behavior. "I'm just curious, just to better understand your ruling," Crockett said. "If someone on this committee then starts talking about somebody's bleach blond, bad-built butch body, that would not be engaging in personalities, correct?" She asked a question about committee members' behavior while being as descriptive as possible to avoid confusion. Rep Jasmine Crockett never resorted to name-calling as MTG did when stating that Representative Sullivan's “I think your fake eyelashes are messing up what you’re reading.”. MTG was the only one out of place with that personal attack. #RobertRulesofOrder. Sometimes, you have to use the rules to get clarification. Bravo Rep Crockett!!! The House Oversight and Judiciary Committee still voted to advance resolutions that would hold AG Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress for allegedly failing to comply with a subpoena to turn over audio recordings related to the classified documents cast against President Biden.
  21. I agree nationality or ethnicity would be irrelevant if not for those who choose to control what we believe. Belief is the second but most important component of creation..."Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve." - So if whoever can control what you believe, you will never achieve anything. In fact, many Black Americans believe the Egyptians who created the pyramids were European and not Black like Us... If they believe that, they will definitely not identify as discoverers of cosmology, mathematics, Astrology, Astronomy, just Like @ProfD said I'm so glad these two teen mathematicians ignored the "programming" and knew where they came from and what they could do as a result! This is Proof Positive that we are as young as we believe we are! Look at you shining! OMG, you're gorgeous and legendary at any age!
  22. Rep. Crockett soared like an eagle in her response to stupid azz Rep. MTG. I respect former FLOTUS Obama's statement in general. Black folks do enough of that already. However, Black folks cannot continue the non-violent and silent treatment every time racists come for us. We have to clap back. Only way bullies will learn.
  23. Yeah I heard about this and curiosity got the best of me. The whole situation was embarrassing. Marjorie Taylor Green Should have been immediately disciplined for the initial insult. It was childish and mean spirited. I’ll go as far and say it was raciest as I suspect there is no evidence of her disrespecting a white person like that. It is disheartening to know people like Green are elected and help craft our laws. Rep. Crockett’s response, while humorous, was also out of place. As former First Lady Obama said when they go low we go high.
  24. Well, I am happy they got him for this hate crime, but he should have been stopped long ago. I hope the mother has a full recovery. What a horror.
  25. Beautiful! My goodness you do not look your age. @aka Contrarian I have one of those relatives. My auntie is 91 years old. Shout out to your grandmother! Amazing! @ProfD
  26. @TroyI hope you are right. Thank you for your insightful analysis of America's current state of affairs. Whatever happens will have very little impact on me. It's quite possible I won't even be around when the next POTUS is elected. But I do have 8 great-grand children... And you know me, I don't really care whether or not America remains a united country. I can't imagine anyone wanting to continue being a countryman of the Fox News crowd who supports Trump. I have always, dating back to the 1950s, had an aversion to right wing Republicans, black ones in particular, so i am not an objective Independent. Progressive "woke" left wingers also get on my nerves. I remain a moderate liberal Democrat, and in order to avoid another hissy fit from Stefan, I am done commenting on this thread. Back to the peanut gallery. Whatever will be, will be. Whoever is "up there" controlling the action in this game of life must be having a really good laugh.
