  2. Have you noticed in the media lately, there's a huge push to NOW all of a sudden call bi-racial people "Black"? If you haven't, pay attention. Ofcourse during slavery for the most part anybody with known Black ancestry was considered "Black" in the U.S. according to the one drop rule; but in the RECENT past...like most AfroAmericans accepted mixed people as Black....most Whites would make it a point to call bi-racial people BI-RACIAL or refer to their ethnicity as African Americans more so than their race which would be more controversial. But now all of a sudden that's changing. Now in the news as well as the entertainment media, more and more bi-racial people are being labeled "Black".
  3. "Last year was a banner year for those trading the New York chill for the Florida sun. Thirty-nine percent of Empire Staters packed up and moved to the Sunshine State, more than any year in history. In fact, recent census data revealed 1.6 million former New Yorkers (or 8% of Florida’s total population) now call Florida home — and it’s not just retirees. Favorable tax policies are fueling Florida’s popularity, attracting top businesses, budding entrepreneurs, and so-called one-percenters, such as Donald Trump and Carl Icahn. Does that mean Florida is a better bet? Those who argue “yes” say New Yorkers are heading south where their money can last longer, their health can benefit from warmer climates, and their sense of safety can markedly improve. Others say that ‘blue state’ policies are a better choice in the long run and that as the effects of the pandemic recede, New York will once again rise in popularity. They also say the state’s inclusive practices and cultural diversity will pull people back to New York. It is in this context that we debate this question: Is Florida Eating New York’s Lunch?" You can listen to the debate here. Obviously, since I'm one of those who made the move. Florida offers distinct advantages over NY and at the top of the list is the cost of living. Given the cost of airfare -- I can get to NYC very easily. Indeed, I'm in NYC pretty regularly. Though I have to brace myself each time -- the crush of people, the noise, the concrete, and the garbage on the street takes a minute to get used to. The statement above, "Thirty-nine percent of Empire Staters packed up and moved to the Sunshine State..." this is clearly wrong. Perhaps they meant 39% of the people who left NYC went to Florida. Since I have been here the cost of living has increased quite a bit, but I believe this is true nationally.
  4. Interesting point! @richardmurray I think this is a crucial point! In fact I did read that one of the leaders in Sudan, Hemedti did meet with the Eritrean leader but it was hush hush on what transpired. Then I also heard that the other leader met with the Prime Minister of Ethiopia. But I don't know how much help they are getting though, from these countries. Well, I agree. I recently read though, that the peace talks were organized in Saudi Arabia. I believe that the AU would have been a good place for peace talks. WHOA! @Pioneer1! Way to go! Yes, Brother GoBlack2Africa says that this conflict in Sudan is nothing but a Proxy War of America fighting against Russia! And he says that the media is not letting us know this whole truth. Well, I believe that our Black leaders over hear and the government should do right and they should be the ones letting us know the whole truth, not the media. It is difficult for rely on media to bring the whole truth, but for now, that is all that we have. So here are some brief videos to support what you have found: THANK YOU!!! Oh yes, but no, I absolutely do NOT believe that African leaders are stupid and easily manipulated. They are always being exploited, imo. And some of them may be selfish, while some may actually NOT be part of the countries they are leading. Some of them have infiltrated certain areas and brought in outside influence to serve the countries that they really are from. I have a feeling that in Sudan, the Arabs may also be a part of Sudan and also the Turkish government from the north. I especially am tuned in when it comes to the Turkish White people because that is how my ancestors got stolen. In fact, that is part of another underlying conflict too. I believe the Mahdi war is still an issue and that is why the outside influences do not want to involve the AU of which is headquarted in Addis Ababa. Turkey to move its Sudan embassy after ambassador’s car hit Turkey will move its embassy from Khartoum to Port Sudan after gunfire on ambassador’s car, foreign minister says. 6 May 2023 Turkey will move its embassy in Khartoum to Port Sudan after the Turkish ambassador’s car was hit by gunfire, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has said. “With recommendation from the transitional government and Sudan army, we decided to move our embassy temporarily to Port Sudan for security reasons,” Cavusoglu told reporters in the southern city of Antalya on Saturday. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2023/5/6/turkey-to-move-its-sudan-embassy-after-ambassadors-car-hit Will Ethiopia and Eritrea be dragged into Sudan’s complex war? https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2023/5/6/will-ethiopia-and-eritrea-be-dragged-into-sudans-complex-war?traffic_source=KeepReading WHY ARE YOU IN AFRICA? Again, Thank you @Pioneer1 !!!
  5. Chev I wonder why this would be going on today. I think what's happening is that White people are coming to accept the fact that they are going to be the minority in this nation in just a short while. In order to rule as a minority, you must sow discord and confusion and division in the other groups you're trying to rule to keep them divided and weakened. Taking mixed and almost White people and forcing them to dwell with Black people will cause resentment, confusion, and chaos as a lot of them will see themselves as superior to the fully Black population and will help White folks keep them oppressed. Also taking mixed and almost White people and calling them "Black" is a deceptive way to keep THEIR OWN people in power. Atleast a fully Black person LOOKS Black; but many mixed people look damn near White. When we start accepting "almost White" people as being Black, that's just a small step from White folks who choose to IDENTIFY as being Black also being accepted as Black as well. So when you have a bunch of White and near-White people running around wearing the Black identity....what do you think will happen to the REAL Black folks who've been ignored?
  6. Much appreciated! 🎉 🎈 ❤️
  7. So they are starting this all over again!? Just as you have said, this was the way it was during slavery times. I believe that if some people are raised up in the Black culture and who may not be Black but bi-racial should be called Black especially if they want to be. But many people that are intermixed with Black and have nothing to do with the Black culture becomes a confusion if they are identified as being Black. I wonder why this would be going on today. I think that the Black culture today is different too, from the past but the reparations subject is based on slavery times, however, today there are many people being defined as Black American that are not culturally connected to the African American Descendants of Slaves, IMO. I have a question; Would Kim Kardashian be considered 'Black' because she was married to a Black man, Kanye and she has children from him, I think. So would she be considered a Black American? My answer would be that based on the past, she would because she would have probably had to live in a Black culture. For this reason, she may have been considered culturally Black however, her 'race' would still be White or Armenian. But what do you think. Are Bi-racial people today being called back for a specific reason, I wonder. Perhaps there is some type of financial gain involved.
  8. Pioneer1 makes a very important point about the lack of sympathy black people have for each other. To the extent blacks will write off white racist violence against other blacks they believe misbehave in public or make " the black people look bad." All of us no matter our race or class don't like to be bothered or inconvenienced by homeless people who are often mentally ill or addicted to drugs and alcohol. We disdain them. If they are perceived as disruptive or a threat force or violence is welcomed. Let me be honest and confessional for a moment. I have a certain contempt for people standing around begging for money. Whether they have signs or hang out around businesses. I try not to give them money if possible although I do sometimes. I used to be more willing to. But to the extent I have always worked and had two or three jobs in some cases. Healthy able-bodied men panhandling make me really mad. I realize many of them might actually be addicts or mentally sick, but that's not everybody, however. It's not always easy to discern, and i'm sorry to say I don't try in many cases. Our political leaders have got to be held accountable. At the same time however, maybe I just need to be more compassionate too. But, make no mistake what happened to Jordan Neely was wrong to say the least. I hope Daniel Peters goes to jail for a long time.
  9. The game really was fantastic, too bad it turned out that way, I actually loved watching the game sometimes.
  10. I'm actually glad this one hasn't been overlooked and forgotten, I know many cases where the villain has remained at large.
  11. 1 point
That's it. Showing off. Some folks are attracted to uniforms.😎

richardmurray Excellent point! Don't make an unnecessary target out of yourself. You know they have locker rooms where she could have changed into civilian clothes. Not sure why some officers choose to wear their clothes outside of duty unless they are trying to show the world that they're a cop or maybe just plain laziness and being too tired to take it off. Whatever the reason, perhaps this tragedy can be used as a cautionary tale.
  13. Brutha GoBlack2Africa breaks it down to the simple truth about what's really happening in Sudan: The only difference is I take it a step further and say Black stupidity is the REAL culprit because if so many of our African leaders weren't so stupid and easily manipulated (which can be considered redundant as "easy manipulation" is a symptom of stupidity) then only a fraction of the current conflicts would actually be taking place there. Brutha GoBlack is too nice to say it.....but I'm not.
