  1. You're correct. Canada does share a history of enslavement with the British empire. I should have written that Canada's legacy of slavery is different from the United States.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  2. As you've often mentioned, the tribes are so varied here in America, that even poor people cannot unify among themselves. Like reparations to FBA folks for America's original sin of slavery, there is no incentive to force the redistribution of wealth either. The illusion of a middle class is just enough to keep that populace satiated. Poor white folks are happy with believing they're still better off than non-white people. I believe it will take a natural disaster of epic proportion to reset the order. Otherwise, the system has been fine tuned to the point that a handful of people can control the majority.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  3. Worried in a figurative sense. Canadians do not have societal issues to the extent of their southern neighbors. Correction...Canada does have a history of slavery. Different legacy. Minorities accept the country belongs to white folks.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  4. Loved it. My father and all but one of his siblings were part of the Black Migration from Greenville Miss to Chicago. There were so many people from that town that they had a Greenville Miss Club which was very large. As a teen I used to spend the summers with him in Chicago. Lots of great memories. Excellent job and a good read. Congratulations!
  5. That meeting was my 1st thought upon hearing the news that he was stepping down. Fighting with the party could be a smoke screen. Either way, I don't blame him for cashing out. Time to enjoy the rest of his life without worrying about Canadian citizens.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  6. ProfD .....try smoking what HE'S smoking, I bet they'll show up by the dozens. Like mushrooms after a rainstorm.
  7. What did my man Redd Foxx say at the end of the meeting? That's a CROWD of money...lol.
  8. I don't suppose that meeting he had with Trump which...by some reports...turned out to be a failure on his part, had anything to do with his plans to resign. ๐Ÿ˜ Nah...that COULDN'T have anything to do with it, lol.
  9. ProfD I agree. All of that time and energy and going back and forth over things that ALLEGEDLY happened thousands of years ago and nobody around to verify it. Going around and around in circles. If they took HALF of the time they waste arguing over religion and put it into building a shopping center or a Black owned alternative to the NBA, we'd have so many Black millionaires.
  10. Most women tend to like a man with a sense of humor. Perhaps the ladies may rate you a 7.29 for that one...lol.
  11. The British pound, Indian rupee and euro are considered fiat currency too. Every country in the G20 can agree on a fiat currency and apply it to other countries too.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  12. richardmurray The federal age, if you will from the late 1800s to 2000 wasn't how the usa usually operated state to state. I find it interesting that you said the period from the late 1800s to 2000 was the "Federal Age". I find it interesting because it appears that we share similar observations on how the States seem to have acquired more sovereignty and control since 2000 co-inciding with the George W. Bush Administration. One could even argue for pushing the date of the end of the "Federal Age" BACK, to about 1980 when Reagan became President granting the States more power.
  13. Brotha @Troy, excellent interview. Thanks again for everything you're doing with AALBC from providing a portal for Black books (authors, publishers, distro, readers) to the forums. Appreciate you mayne.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  14. Outsourcing jobs, compressing wages, tolls and taxes, etc., props up the financial house of cards on which the US economy is built. The illusion of of a middle class buoys the system while the rich get richer. Of course, bureaucratic processes are hoarding and moving money around too. Still, 3% of the population controlling 97% of the wealth. The real question is when are citizens going to demand a redistribution of wealth.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  15. 1 point
Is this the same as the Winter Solstice?
