Made it! Today's my 92nd birthday. Don't know whether to laugh or cry. Such is life. 🤪
  2. Don't forget the hermaphrodites!
  3. richardmurray In my experience very few human beings allow themselves to ever be sacrificed. What about soldiers who sign up during times of war and offer their services and very lives for a nation or "cause"? You can look over to the Middle East where there's no shortage of young men willing to sacrifice themselves for their particular cause.
  4. Oh no. Those writings were not put on any printing press for almost a thousand years in some regards. No one believed that the lavish Temple complex in Jerusalem would be built or demolished. That's like another White House being built and told that it would be demolished by a meteor storm 70 years from now. Daniel lived 500s BC. Herod was not even born until like 30 BC. That's like us reading about something that will not happen until 2525 about 500 years from now. The prophet Zechariah prophesied about cars. If humans were that smart, then they would have been driving their chariots 2000 years ago and not being pulled by horses up until the days of John Wayne. The prophet Zechariah wrote that the horses were INSIDE the chariot. That kind of horse power 'engine' did not occur until Henry Ford was born. The Black Death Plague did not happen until AD 1335. Daniel wrote his book 1335 + 500 = 1835 years ago. Who could ever believe that there would come a time whereby, everyday, for about 200 years African children would be stolen from their homes and forced into massive slave ships for a year and made to lie in feces and on their sides, tightly packed for about 365 days. The prophet Ezekiel wrote that in detail, but it seems ridiculous to think that could ever happen or that world governments would do that and the human race went about their daily lives for 200 years as if it was normal!? . I can understand now, that it's possible to believe what is written about the meteor storm to destroy a third of the planet and prepare to live in caves during another ice age, in a sense but, on the other hand, just as in the past, most people that are high up in big governments don't believe it. Homeless people are being forced out of their tents, an already sad existence by the wealthy and powerful government with no fear of one day themselves having to flee back into live in Siberian caves if they are lucky. Jesus said 500 years after Daniel: [14] And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.... [20] But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: [21] For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. MATTHEW 24: 14, 20-21. Daniel Wrote 500 years before Jesus: [1] And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. [2] And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. ... John's Vision: [2] ... Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils,.... [8] Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.... REVELATION 18:2, 8.
