What is Zipf's Law? "Zip's Law is a statistical observation that describes the frequency distribution of words in a language. It states that the frequency of a word is inversely proportional to its rank in the frequency table. In simpler terms, the most common word in a language appears roughly twice as often as the second most common word, three times as often as the third most common word, and so on. This law applies to many languages and even to other phenomena like city populations, income distributions, and website traffic. It's a fascinating observation that has sparked research into its underlying causes, with potential explanations ranging from cognitive biases to mathematical properties of complex systems." The word "Trump" has to have been the most used word of 2025. "Fascism" has to have frequently appeared in the mix. Is there currently some significance to this? This nation appears to be on the brink of great change. Will my longevity become a curse or a blessing? Should I wish for more years or have I stayed too long? There are so many mind boggling phenomena making up the complexity of this thing called "Life" in this place called America. BEAR fan that I am, hibernation sounds inviting...
  2. IMO, the New Black Media should stay focused on the following: 1) Reporting issues of which FBA/AfroAmericans need to be aware under the system of racism white supremacy 2) Maintaining our history and recognizing our master teachers i.e. Black folks past and present 3) Highlighting positive accomplishments of FBA/AfroAmericans 4) Networking opportunities 5) Reparations There is really no reason for FBA/AfroAmericans to be concerned in one way or another with non-oppressor groups of people. FBA/AfroAmericans should delineate from other groups of people that: 1) do not want to build strategic alliances 2) support the system of racism white supremacy Otherwise, FBA/AfroAmericans have enough issues to deal with instead of putting on a cape for others. History proves that from slavery up to present, no other group of people has significantly helped FBA/AfroAmericans here the USA. FBA/AfroAmericans should not get into petty beefs or go back & forth with any other group of people especially other Black folks. They are victims too. The mission of FBA/AfroAmericans should be putting in the work necessary to make America pay for its original sin. Anything else is a smoke screen or distraction. A waste of time & energy.๐Ÿ˜Ž

Nope. I don't believe in curses either. Otherwise, the Black folks in the Bayou or wherever should have been able to shut down slavery and prevent the system of racism white supremacy.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž

I don't believe people are either lucky or unlucky throughout life. Good and bad luck can vary from one person to the next. A rich person can lose $100 dollars and not consider it bad luck. A poor person can find that $100 dollars and consider it good luck. The same $100 dollars meant different things to those two people.๐Ÿ˜Ž

Not routinely good or bad. Although, it would seem that some folks have *better* or *worse* luck than others. You can ask me the same question 100 different ways and my answer won't change.๐Ÿคฃ I don't believe there is some force, power or authority influencing luck or anything else. Purely chance. If such a thing existed...then, I'd question how it picks & chooses the winners & losers in this existence i.e. lucky vs unlucky.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  6. ProfD The main reasons I could never be a follower of anything is because I think too much.๐Ÿ˜ I too have often been accused of "over thinking" a particular thing or situation....lol. This is because when I sense that somebody is trying to sell me something, I also try to figure out what's in it FOR THEM and how do THEY benefit from me accepting what they're saying. People who are trying to pull a fast one over on the masses can usually look at their audience and tell who's buying their bullshit and who isn't. I believe people should always use knowledge and discernment and common sense in whatever they choose to consume. If they have it...lol. When people blindly follow sh8t and/or believe everything about it....this is when I might have to question their intelligence.๐Ÿคฃ For me, it's no longer a QUESTION about some people....lol.
