  1. What does the sign say on the front of the building? AP better get with the program, if they wanna remain in business... fake news 😉 I have to believe the vast majority of the country would not want to live under theocracy let alone a fascist one. Of course we only need an organized minority to make it happen, and it is not outside the realm of possibility, though it is highly unlikely.
  2. You can also raise the subscription price. Period, 'nuff said.
  3. "WASHINGTON (AP) — Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, hosting his first monthly Christian worship service at the Pentagon..." AP got this wrong Hegseth is technically the the Secretary of War. All of this just sounds crazy to me. Less than three years to go 🙂
  4. EVs are the future... The current administration only has 2y 9mo 22d 2h 30m 27s left -- a mere blink of an eye, and things will improve on a global scale. My smart speaks says the nation average for the cheap stuff $3.98 for the cheap stuff and $4.87 for the premium; stuff which I have to buy as a driver of a Volkswagen I have to buy, so it is close to $5 now. Here in Florida gas tends to be cheaper than the national average. When I went to the pump a few days ago I paid $3.89 for premium. If it cost twice that I would still fill u I would just drive ALOT less maybe ride my bike more and get my kid to drive me around she and her boo both drive Teslas.
  5. Thank you. I'm struggling with fixing bugs on the website so I did not read the rest of the conversation but just for kicks I ask Gemini to summarize it for me and this is what I got. Let me know if you think the summaries of you positions are accurate: This discussion forum conversation, initiated by Pioneer1, explores the psychological impact of colorism within the Black community and debates strategies for reversing centuries of “anti-Black programming” regarding beauty standards. Core Arguments and Perspectives Pioneer1 (The Proponent of Radical Counter-Programming): Argues that Black women dyeing their hair blonde is a symptom of psychological damage from White-centric media that associates dark skin and kinky hair with being “ugly.” Proposes “reversing the hypnosis” by aggressively promoting dark skin and African features as the primary standard of beauty. Contends that in 2026, the community should see people in tanning booths trying to get darker and dyeing their hair black rather than blonde. Believes that “medium to dark” skin must be given priority over light skin to “balance the scale” after 500 years of lopsided preference for whiteness. ProfD (The Historical and Social Realist): Notes that movements for Black pride (James Brown, 70s Soul, 90s Hip-Hop) have existed but were often short-lived. Identifies colorism as a deep-seated issue rooted in the “slave plantations” that requires extensive time to undo. Suggests that interpersonal love—specifically Black men actively loving and choosing dark-skinned women—is a primary solution to the self-esteem crisis. Chevdove (The Moderate and Nuanced Critic): Expresses indifference toward Pioneer1’s proposal, arguing that while dark skin should be highlighted, light-skinned individuals should not be “suppressed” or “downplayed.” Raises concerns about the systematic exploitation of the term “Pride,” suggesting the “Black Pride” movement has been merged with or co-opted by the global LGBT movement. Believes education is key to understanding that traits like blonde hair are not exclusively “White.” Frankster (The Advocate for Education and Equality): Argues that education is the most effective way to destroy colorism. Advocates for a “spectrum” approach: saturating media with all shades as equally as possible rather than creating a new discriminatory hierarchy. Maintains that beauty standards should be viewed as universal (based on symmetry and balance) rather than political or racial competitions. Major Themes of Debate Theme Pioneer1’s View Frankster/Chevdove’s View Strategy Aggressive Counter-Programming: Preferencing dark/medium skin specifically. Equality: Celebrating the full spectrum of all hues and shades. Logic The “Reparations” Model: You don’t add weight to both sides of a lopsided scale to balance it; you add only to the lighter side. The “Universal” Model: Teach that all people are beautiful to avoid shifting the problem to a different group. Education Intellectual reasoning is insufficient for psychological wounds; entertainment and religion are needed. Systematic education in psychology and history is the primary tool for healing.
  6. Be intentional: Support your favorite Black-owned bookstore (Online, Brick & Mortar, Pop-up, etc) that day and the rest of the year 🙂
  7. Content is never free Bruh. I'm sure those stations have tons of commercials. Today my tolerance for commercials is zero. YouTube is unwatchable without a paid subscription. I rather just go on a pay for a subscription of commercial free quality content. I'm just Glad you no longer have to pay for a ton of stuff you never watch the way it was with cable. I'm sure you tech savvy folk know Amazon sells these boxes that allow you to watch pretty much anything you want for free. I don't use that because I don't watch that much TV.
  8. Oh my friend in some part of the country like California gas lives above $5 a gallon. I paid over $7 once. Still in the rest of the country it is not uncommon to see $5+ for premium gas. Diesel gas is already well over $5 in many places. which will translate into a lot of things being more expensive. I will pay whatever it costs man, but I will just do a lot less driving. I don't drive everyday as it is I feel for people who have to commute by car. What is really jack is the removal of tax incentive for EVs and charging infrastructure.
  9. 146,000, i’m surprised it’s not more. I would be willing to bet that it is. New York is Hard and unforgiving if you don’t have any money. I don’t know why people have children they can’t afford. it’s probably the programmed primal instinct to procreate. Well, Richard is not that simple. If it was, I would’ve done it already. The calculus completely changed in an AI world. I’m now doing things that I would not have considered doing because it required effort, time, intellect and money that I did not have.
  10. I'll probably watch this film tonight. The 1919 film is the oldest known surviving film by a Black man.
  11. Amazingly, I’ve not heard the story yet. It must’ve just happened. I’m assuming he’s not ADOS or FBA.
  12. Me too. But we must also recognize that race is also a tool of the plutocrats, understood to be false by the educated, but believed to be true by the masses. Educate the masses and the tool becomes useless.
  13. The first and last videos are too old to be of relevance today. Pill Boy's video seems interesting I'll probably check it out, Still without knowing anything about who he is I'lll view the video very critically. I can only imagine what the state of the art of AI, which none of us have access to, is. ----------------------- @frankster, what is truth? Is it really incontrovertible. History tells us what is true today may be false tomorrow. The "truth" my exist but we may not know it, indeed it may be unknowable. Religions may not be true, but maybe there is something underlying them that is true, but incomprehensible to us mere mortals. Maybe religion is one why we can glimpse it, the way a tesseract helps us visualize a 4D space.
  14. She is young and charismatic, with a bright future ahead. despite the recent loss.
  15. I see that I have mellowed a bit, which is a a good IMHO.
  16. I beg to differ. The thumbnail and title below are perfect examples of this very thing. "People have found Epstein's code word for Human Meat..."
  17. ,,,fast forward 13 years and this post has resurfaced in popularity, presumably due to the passing of the civil rights giant. Rereading this I'm not sure why I gave @anika99 so much grief for sharing the "news." I guess I was thinking it was gossip and nobody else's business. Maybe I was thinking it was just the media tearing down a another prominent Black man.
  18. Look as bad a guys as Epstein surely was, the idea that Epstein Hunted Niggers Like in the Hunger Games is just crazy on it's face. Now if you have some proof, first had accounts -- I'm all ears. But don't be making up shit to feed an algorithms to garner views. Again, creators are rewarded for creating this shit because it makes the social media platform owners billionaires. One of 100 reasons to avoid the platforms that do this.
  19. @Pioneer1's observations on the FBA and ADOS "movements" is why I try to limit my consumption of information from social media. I'd rather read a Black newspaper. James Small's suggestion is exactly what males these movements dangerous.
  20. This is Troy. First you must understand ability and intellect have very little to do with success in America. Being born with wealthy and a willingness to be evil is a much better indicator of success for white folks. For Black folks the ability to entertain white folks is a much better predictor of financial success. As @Delano implied getting pimped is what made america great. Being pimped who how a Black person get rich.
  21. The following was written by Arthur Rickydoc Flowers and is an excerpt from his substack post. ---------- So recently on Substack I was made aware of the FBA (Foundational Black Americans) and ABOS (American Descents of Slavery) movements, etc, and expressed my contempt for this latest expression of Black insecurity boosting itself with petty bullshit cutting us off from the Diaspora. I was responding to an informative piece (link below) on the phenom and I was like whats FBA and boy did I get impassioned responses, including from my sister, Elise, who apparently been in contention with them for years, I am truly out of the loop, I don’t really do social media, I’m only on Substack cause of Trump, decided its a good venue for raising up the Hoodoo Legions against him. Came up in here expecting to be exhorting mi legions to the barricades, battle has come to us, but I quickly deduced what Im really doing is raising the consciousness of the Legions, (matters like this one,) to make of them more effective cultural custodians, a longer more invested process but such is struggle and I am comfortable with the glacial pace of cultural change. To my everlaqsting shame Ive become a Substack scold. A gentle scold. But, after expressing my surprise and dismissal of these FBA folk, I received the following missive from one George Dawson, MD, I’m not used to social media folk trying to dispute me, usually my narrative gravitas preclude anybody being fool enuf to come at me, so this defense of FBA world kinda tripped me out. Folk had told me about it but I guess I didn’t really believe Blackfolk could be so clueless. ------------- Wait. What is wrong for a people, our people attempt at defining/refining who and what we are based on our experiences on this land? People refer to us as: akata, lazy, no culture ..... on and on. So, who is being dismissive? Are we not allowed to respond? To protect our dignity? Meanwhile, while some are slinging these derogatory memes at our folks, any at the same time, they have no problem with exploiting the perks and opportunities we have gained by fighting for here on these shores. Fighting with our blood sweat and tears. Really? Further, being non-deportable, has, seemingly, created an air of resentment against our people, as well. With all this, we can’t define ourselves anew. That is, define us based on our lived experiences on these shores. Our lineage. That is offensive? This lineage. Created/developed here, over 4 centuries or so. Let us just dismiss it? Really. I could go on but I will stop here. I am an old head and as such, been through a few things for plenty decades or a few scores of years. Respect what people, our people are trying to clarify. Some of these folks have showed us how they feel about our Americanness. These young people have every right to define us anew, if it is required. Let them/us work it out. On our homestead, so to speak -------- OK, I don’t usually wrestle in the mud with confused folk, I will state my position for the historical record but I don’t try to convince nobody of nothing. I will tell you what you need to hear one time. If you ready you will hear it, if not come back when you are, Okay, before I get to snarling, I had written the following in hot rage but before pushing send I went to check his site out, figured Id find Black MAGA but he aint really that bad, just got confused. But once I became conscious of him as a fellow Black person trying I had to snarl less personal. I’m spose to be a spiritual force, a holyman, and not caught up in Black online dialogue as mortal combat. I lost my grace with these folk, they piss me off, bit I went thru and cut back the afterburners, still harder than you generally get from me but you shoulda read it before I let him get humanized by reading his posts. So less personal I will say, for the historical record, why I think this ABOS / FBA etc is not only bullshit but dangerous bullshit. One, we are a weak minority, we need all the help we can get. Folk invented the Diaspora so we could be a global folk. All the true players of the world are global folk, whitefolk, Jews, Arabs, Chinese, etc, they globalfolk. So what yall want to do is move us back into global weakness, cut us off from one of our greatest strengths in global competition and domestic empowerment. Classic Divide & Conquer. And then you got the nerve to complain that they not deportable, I believe thats what pissed me off. And if there are folk in the Diaspora who are as confused as you FBA folk rant about, well, you always gon have some folk who just not ready, you and yours being exhibit A. But we don’t let the weak links define us, do we, we tolerate, we educate when we can, cripple when we can’t. Don’t nobody question our unique history, brother, but to think it somehow exalts us over otherfolk, you just replicating evil. My brother, these is portentous times and you on the wrong side of history, when the story is told you will be judged wanting. A stalking horse for the right perhaps, a MAGA disinformation campaign. But I dont even have to go there, conspiracy or not you working against us. I’m told yall told the kids not to vote. How did that work out for them. Worked out great for Tramp and MAGA. But Fannie Lou ‘If I fall Ima fall five feet four inches forward in the fight for freedom’ Hamer woulda be shamed of you. And if Fannie Lou ain’t foundational I don’t know who is. But it is even worse, far as the old conjureman concerned, you crippling the tribal soul, and that I cannot allow. As a practitioner of literary hoodoo, griot and tribal medicine worker, I have been trained to monitor the health of the tribal soul (culture) by monitoring its cultural products, (including ideas) giving the tribal soul what it needs, extracting what it don’t, and it do not need this, my friend, Not only is it political malpractice but its just petty and I can’t let my people get caught up in petty bullshit, I can not let my people be a petty people. I believe the defining feature of the 21st century in a rapidly globalizing world is which cultures will contribute to the uniworldal culture of the future, which die out and disappear. I would African American culture, as exemplified in Hoodoo, its indigenous spiritual tradition, be one of the world’s Great Ways My vision is that Black folk position themselves as Guide and Guardian of Human Destiny, the Magical Negro wrote large, the Illuminated Children of the Sun, a beacon light unto humanity, forever. Yes, yes, I agree, yet another Chosen Peoples scenario but one based on humble service to the Human Condition. I got to get Blackfolk out of this historical Trickbag, got to transform them souldeep, I need Blackfolk to believe in themselves w/mythic intensity, so confident in their value they realize loud random bullshit like this is beneath them. This mean I have to shape African American culture / spiritual tradition into one of the worlds Great Ways - one other folk admire and emulate, an African American Way. It is I, Rickydoc Trickmaster, the High Hoodoo of Memphis, come to call thru incandescent hunger, to me, o mighty race, I got the vision, 1stborn, it is in me like fire. Listen 1stborn to the Geas of Rickydoc and I will give you a Mission greater than your Adversity. I will give you a Destiny. It is I, Mganga Maua, Hoodoo Lord of the Delta, come to call you 1stborn, humanity’s living ancestors, gods true chosen, if you would reclaim your legacy as gods holy instrument you must stand on higher ground, I ask only that you be the great and glorious people you were meant to be, the Illuminated Children of the Sun. Not a mean little petty folk who can only feel good about themselves if they stepping on folk as they themselves was stepped on. And then to do it to kinfolk - I am appalled, all of you FBA / ABOS, etc, you bad as Black MAGA, may even be Black MAGA. We got real hammers coming down on us, dawg, we seriously under the gun, we aint got time for made up bullshit that not only don’t empower our generations but instead weakens us, both politically and spiritually. And if you think I’ma let yall cripple the tribal soul with unregulated bullshit you are sadly mistaken. But, that said Ima dismiss your movement, I don’t have bandwidth for silly season, not when my people so in need of true vision. Every chance I get Ima discredit this farce but basically Ima let this silly season bullshit die a natural death, So, I dedicate this piece to all the Black Generations of the Diaspora, past present & future, we shall overcome, someday - and my brother, next time try googling me before you start talking about all your years of experience Share In the name of the conqueror let this Work be done – Demoja Demoja – let it be so Upgrade to paid note: this was the piece i was responding to, a more informed strategic analysis of how the movement rooted itself in the culture - be safe, be productive Au'Naturale Have we gone too far? Nationalism has been on the rise lately and If you’ve been in black spaces online you know of the FBA (foundational black american) and ADOS (american descendants of slavery) movements. Theres been an ongoing attempt at reclamation of black culture in America. Equally a lot of harmful propaganda going around due to this. I want to address it from the le… Read more 4 months ago · 13 likes · 3 comments · Ashanique.
  22. I tried moving the conversation, but It does not look like I can move all of them. I think I moved to start, but the rest of them will have to be cut and pasted To the new one and then delete it here by the users… That is the best I can do
  23. Deep. From The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire (1776) "The various modes of worship, which prevailed in the Roman world, were all considered by the people, as equally true; by the philosopher, as equally false; and by the magistrate, as equally useful." The same holds true for the concept of race. ....considered by the masses, as equally true; by the educated, as equally false; and by the plutocracy as equally useful.
  24. this is Troy for some reason my my phone forgot my user account. Of course I don’t believe in multiple races! I thought I made that abundantly clear over the years. I recognize that there are people, like you, who believe in multiple races. But that doesn’t make it true. And there are those who are sufficiently powerful enough to exploit the nonsensical belief, people have in multiple races and use it as a tactic to divide us for their personal benefit.
  25. Happy New Year everyone! For some reason my Troy account stopped working 😞 So I'm using the administrator account until I can reset or find it.
