NYC is the birthplace of Hip-Hop culture. Black folks started it. Hip-Hop became a multi-billion dollar industry. No shortage of ancillary businesses grew out of it too. Imagine if black folks maintained ownership of Hip-Hop from its beginnings instead of letting non-Black folks own it. Maybe the black people in NYC should move to a city like Atlanta. The people in Green Bay Wisconsin own the football team. Cooperative. Maybe she's not interested enough in basketball to buy a team. Wealthy people buy things 1) of interest to them and/or 2) that make more money. Vertical integration. The system of moving money within one's own community several times over before it leaves. This is something that needs to be taught to young Black folks before they get herded into the mills of the system.

Black people spend billions of dollars in gross consumerism. How do Black people get their money? Where do Black folks spend their money? The questions are rhetorical. We already know. Over several decades now, enough money has passed through the hands of Black folks to have invested in themselves i.e. institutions and economic infrastructure. Sure, it's easy to sit around grumbling and complaining about what another group of people won't allow us to do. But, it's another thing to take personal responsibility and accountability for not doing whatever it takes to help yourself and by extension tribe/community. This is where I place the blame on Black men. Clearly, we have not done enough to become powerful. We have not done whatever it takes to produce wealth. We have rich athletes and entertainers running around. They work for somebody else too. Black folks are not the majority owners of any sports leagues. Only a few Black folks own entertainment companies. Yet, Black folks generate billions of dollars for the owners of these industries. Now, imagine if Black folks took 10% of those gross earnings from entertainment and started productive Black-owned businesses, banks, hospitals, schools, etc. I know you get tired of reading when I type it but Jews are an excellent example of a once marginalized and persecuted group of people who turned their tragedy into triumph. Jews did receive reparations for the holocaust. They have been receiving billions of dollars annually for 3/4 of a century now. But, how do they spend their money? Same goes for Asians. They are showing up in Black communities and countries and leaving with a bag full of money. If Black folks stopped consuming from other groups of people, our wealth would increase exponentially. Black folks have generated a lot of money without a country of their own or enslaving and killing other folks or firing a single shot. Blacks folks need to stop being the ultimate consumers and start producing for themselves by any means necessary. I did not type that we have never tried. I know better than that. My point is that we should never stop trying.

Absolutely. That's how humans develop, build and get things done. The US educational system is a farm responsible for handing out lottery tickets i.e. credentials (diplomas & degrees) to control the flow of people into jobs. Institutions of higher learning also serve as networking hubs for people to make personal and professional connections. Those Black elected officials are following the script put in place by the dominant society. They're not thinking outside the box. Also, a combination of low self-esteem, jealousy, greed, envy, etc., leads some people in high positions to keep others away from opportunities for fear that they will be exposed as unqualified or incompetent. The system isn't designed go allow it. But, there is a workaround. There's nothing to prevent someone from establishing their own enterprise. Former prisoners have started security companies. Musicians have built schools or taught privately. A Black Ivy league graduate has a piece of paper that serves as a lottery ticket into a job or position within the system. It will be even nicer when Black folks build their own institutions and economic infrastructures that do not require following credentials and practices of the dominant society.

POTUS OJ is going to turn the federal government into a reality show filled with clowns, circus acts, magicians, etc. Get your popcorn and cotton candy and soft drinks. Enjoy the show.

Gotcha. According to that logic. That's fair. There's a whole of lot of them too. Ask who's in charge of America. Wait for the answer. Most countries are homogeneous. Anything is possible. A charismatic Black leader could emerge. We'll see which way the Democrats go in 2028. He could say "hey, we're broke as f8ck but still love my boo". At some point, I believe former FLOTUS Obama is going to make statement that she's not interested in becoming POTUS.

Reads like dudes with low testosterone. A healthy man isn't going to let election fallout keep him from poking that soft and wet box.

Feel free to elaborate on how AfroAmericans benefitted from USSR being a threat. I don't see where the white male dominated system has been weakened. Case in point....last POTUS election.

As with everything else within the system of racism white supremacy, AfroAmericans are powerless to do anything about the growing Hispanic population. AfroAmericans don't need to worry or get upset about immigration. We need to strengthen our own position before further marginalization.

The pundits are also saying that former FLOTUS Obama didn't stand any better chance of winning than VP Harris. It's for the same reasons the Democrats lost in 2016 and 2024. America isn't ready for a female POTUS.

Despite Mexico being landlocked to the United States, I have zero interest in going down there. Also, I have very cool Mexican neighbors. I can walk a few houses down the street if I have any questions about the place and/or want to eat the food.

Right. On the low, it has been mentioned that white women could have swung the vote differently. There was no bull horn announcement or or finger wagging at them though. If the candidate had been a non-white person with the same baggage, they would not have been qualified for the electoral college. Exactly. Not the narrative they are pushing though. White women were not fighting against racism. They were concerned with their own women's rights which got lumped in with Civil Rights. We already know which group benefitted the most when white men had to throw out bones. Even with a flawed candidate whose convictions are against women. Democrats are spineless. Black politicians are their scapegoats.

It's silly that regardless of woman's s8xual orientation, withholding s8x is supposed to be a form of protest or a flex. Even sillier that it's over some gotd8mn election results. Getting laid could actually heal the disappointment of being on the losing side.

Women definitely aren't running behind or checking for men over 50 years old. That dude has to use his mouth piece or wallet. Mature women aren't going to run behind or check for a man. They know how to get attention if/when it's desired. Times have changed a bit in society as a result of education, technology, opportunities and lifestyles, etc. Folks have more options.

The interesting thing about the projected Hispanic population growth is that it's being allowed while illegal immigration is supposedly a problem. Like an election, some of us will be around 20 years from now to see the population results.

Physics is definitely a part of STEM. The tenor of your posts suggest a greater emphasis shoukd be placed on it.

Now, it's being reported that VP Harris' campaign is $20 million in debt after raising $1 billion dollars. The math doesn't add up. Reads like the media is piling on after her POTUS defeat. I'm not worried about the VP going back to her McDs job next year. Debt will get paid. VP will be free to live her best life away from the fray.

Definitely not a desktop either. While there may not be enough emphasis placed on economics, accounting and physics, no shortage of STEM folks in every generation. I hope that woman isn't teaching STEM classes. While the metric system is taught in US schools, the Americans who seem to use it the most are dealing with grams and kilos.

The same technology becomes cheaper over time. A few megabytes of computer was expensive a decade or so ago. Nowadays, terabytes of memory cost less. Same goes for consumer electronics. 4K TVs are cheaper now. Of course, planned obsolescence is very real and always in effect. Folks have been conditioned to expect that they will have to replace a TV every 5-7 years.

I don't believe AI will reach the point of salience to develop desire, ambition and initiative. H8ll, we have a hard enough time programming humans to get off their azz and do something constructive and productive. AI will help us with tasks and problem-solving. In advance, AI cannot see a task that needs to be performed or a problem that needs to solve. I doubt that someone will wake up one day and AI has already produced whatever they had dreamed about while asleep.

For several decades now, global warming has been blamed on humans. It would be something if cosmic activities is the reason for earth changes. That would be more consistent than our footprint changing weather patterns and causing natural disasters.
