Too late.....you're already indebted to White folks....lol.No sir. I don't owe them sh8t. Got my receipts too.

@aka Contrarian, always glad to read whenever you decide to pop back in to chop it up with us.
I'm still sitting in this proverbial easy chair here serving up source material ripe for your contrarianism.
On the technical side, I'm wondering if it's possible to restore access to your Cynique profile and merge it with this new one. just a thought.
Nonetheless, this place isn't the same without your input. I look forward to reading it as time permits.

It's nearly impossible to choose freely with a socialised mind. It's is very difficult to transcend the influence of the group unless you're okay with being ostracized or you're a sociopath.
This is very salient. What defines freedom. Would you say most people a
aren't free and why aren't they?
Right.
Most people aren't free because they have been indoctrinated into one or more groups whether it's ideological, social, religious, political, etc.
A mental soup of that sh8t is a gumbo resulting in sheep and lemmings.
Granted, there's nothing inherently wrong with belonging to a group(s) as long as one maintains the ability to think independently.

Freedom of choice is real.
Unfortunately, many people try to validate themselves by social status and/or material possessions and other things.
Companies go to great lengths in pushing their brand and products. It's all about making money.
Strong advertising campaigns and paid models and product placement is enough to convince people they need the *best*.
Socially, many will fall into groups that share similar thoughts and beliefs. Religion and politics are two areas that heavily influence group think.
Critical thinkers amd strong-willed people march to the beat of their own drum unfazed by the *noise* trying to get them to buy into things and beliefs.

Might as well ask for and accept help from SOME White folks if you can get it because you KNOW what is going to happen if NONE of them are on your side or willing to help you out.....lol.
No thanks. Be neither a lender nor a borrower. I don't believe in owing anybody anything.
2 hours ago, Pioneer1 said:If White folks are THAT damn good at acting and fooling people with how well they can pretend to really be down for the cause...the world doesn't stand a chance with their deceptive abilities....LOL.
White folks have master the art of deceit. That's how they've spread colonialism and imperialism.

If Minister Farrakhan could make the call and gather 2 million Black men to stand together in Washington D.C. back in 1995.......surely we could unite enough Black folks in THIS age to get our Reparations package going.
That was almost 30 years ago. Ever since, there hasn't been a Minister Farrakhan equivalent in the Black community. No leadership.

Yep. It's definitely a politically motivated witch hunt.
DA Fani Willis has a net worth of $8M. She didn't need for Nate Wade or anybody else to pay for her on a trip.
To Democrats and pro-Women's groups and everybody else who pretends to be an ally, they're silent because Black folks are their tools. Eventually, those tools get broken.

DA Fani Willis' hearing is happening this week. Hopefully she won't get booted off the case and/or lead to charges being dropped against Orange Julius.

Well, let me tell you something that you probably already know.
If you're waiting around for Black folks AS A WHOLE to unite and become "codified".....As I mentioned in another thread, it's not about getting all Black folks codified. I know we're not a monolithic group.

If I make a speech or give a talk and at the end a White man opens his wallet or a White woman digs into her purse and gives us a $100 bill in support of whatever agenda we're pushing and then walks away....what am I to make of that?
White folks give money to all types of sh8t. It makes them feel better about themselves.
Those white folks looked at you no differently than one of those bloated belly big head children with flies on their faces in a Save The Children commercial.

In a penitentiary, the last thing you want to do is take gifts. Nothing is free. There's no telling how the lender wants that debt repaid.
White folks have been f8cking Black folks for a long time running.

We can give OURSELVES Reparations!
Bro, if it was that easy folks would have been getting checks since the 1960s.
39 minutes ago, Pioneer1 said:There are enough Black folks in Congress and in executive and legislative positions around this nation...
They can only exert their *power* as white folks allow them.
Look no further than what's going on in Georgia right now. The Black DA is close to being booted off the case and possibly leading to charges being dropped against the orange former POTUS.
Black folks have to become codified before we can do anything major.
-
@Pioneer1, since you're already familiar with the teachings of NF Jr.
Two word come to mind....race suspects.
White folks have been playing good cop bad cop against Black folks for as long as the system of racism has existed.
If white folks really wanted to help Black folks they would dismantle the system of racism themselves.
Public Enemy already told us...can't trust it.
White folks will sacrifice themselves in every way imaginable to maintain status quo.As we say in the hood...they're about that life and they stand on bidness when it comes to maintaining the system of racism white supremacy by any means necessary.

My point is, the moneid peoples are no excuse, elected officials deny them all the time.
Fair enough. Elected officials going against the grain isn't the norm. I certainly don't see them crafting legislation unilaterally in a democracy.
1 hour ago, richardmurray said:haha I am not sitting on the apple, praying for you:) just being inspiring.
Thanks for the inspiration. I'll let keep you posted on how it works out in the grand scheme of things.
1 hour ago, richardmurray said:Yes, there is something stopping me, a great thing, an honest thing, A thing i wish more black people in the usa accepted and accept. . As I have said in this forum many times, different groups of black people in the usa from its secession from the british empire have always, always, had different paths, sometimes very unaligned. But the one problem among the black populace in the usa is the ability of all black people in the usa to accept that.
Many Black folks do recognize that we're not a monolithic group of people.
Yet, that should not stop the various factions of Black folks from organizing and codifying their agendas internally and electing leadership to represent.
At some point, Black leaders need to form strategic alliances beneficial to all parties.
All Black people should recognize that the system of racism white supremacy is bad and needs to be dismantled.

to be fair, the excutive seats in nyc or nys are quite powerful. thus more monied influence but again, nothing is stopping anyone once they get in
Rest assured those *elected* officials aren't making rogue decisions either. The paymasters have already given their marching orders.
Nowadays, considering the amount of money in politics, most politicians are selected well before they're elected.

@richardmurray, surely, elected officials can introduce legislation. Regardless of level, they cannot push it unilaterally in a democratic system.
I define smart people as those who have some combination of a gift, talent, knowledge, skills and abilities to identify and solve problems and a bonus is having the personality to galvanize and/or motivate other people to help them.
If/when I'm called to ministry, politics or otherwise, maybe I'll take heed.

@ProfD I concur 100% that new parties of governance are needed in the usa, it is a long time coming, start one Profd:)
As I mentioned in the other thread, I'm not a preacher or a politician. I'm just a musician who reads and thinks a lot and who has opinions on d8mn near everything especially as it relates to Black people and dismantling the system of racism.
Until brotha @Troy asks me to stop littering the discussion board with my thoughts and/or bans me, I'll keep providing my opinions on various topics from the comfortable chair I've found on the forum.

@ProfD add no elected officials have offered a policy as well, don't just say the black populace...
Elected officials get their marching orders from special interest groups (people). They come up with policies that benefit their constituents.
1 hour ago, richardmurray said:So your correct the black populace in the usa hasn't made a consensus and produced a plan to elected officials.
I'm not looking for consensus among 40 million Black people. There's enough smart people among the various Black voting blocks (special interest groups/constituents) to gather information and craft it into policy.
1 hour ago, richardmurray said:lastly, get out there profd, you said you think so highly of the usa, get your name on a ballot. I don't think highly of the usa. you do.
One small problem...I'm not a politician or preacher. I'm just a musician who reads and thinks a lot and who has opinions.

It's hard enough getting folks out to vote in general elections. Even fewer folks pay attention to voting in primaries and caucuses.
Poor people and minorities make up a huge portion of the voter populace and most of them consistently vote against their own interests.
Considering the state of play as it relates to US politics nowadays, the time is ripe for new parties to emerge and break up the gridlock of the two-party, lesser of two evils system.
-
1 hour ago, richardmurray said:
I recall for years black people made a scene and many speeches arguing black people need to rock the vote, but we don't even have the majority vote in the region.
Right. No other group of people is berated into voting for nothing in return except Black folks. Conversely, Black folks have not presented any real policy issues to which politicians can be held accountable.
1 hour ago, richardmurray said:I have read or heard so many Black people speak of none of the above as stupid or ignorant but it makes perfect sense. More votes come with quality policy.
Voting for voting sake is one of the most mentally unstable things you can do.
Facts. Black folks have been voting for 1) lesser of two evils and 2) nothing tangible in return for a long time now. An exercise in futility.

But what I WOULD rally against a "California Type" Reparations offer that would give each Black person a measly $10,000 check in exchange for agreeing that it would be the FINAL compensation....
H8ll to the naw on a one-time 10 stack check. As Cypress Hill said:
We ain't going out like that.

@Pioneer1, cut those checks and let our people live. We definitely shouldn't undermine ourselves by talking against reparations.

Exercise in futility. Live your best life right now with no regrets. Tomorrow isn't promised.
Probably not.
Beyond 80 years old s8x won't be a priority.
Keeping up with medications and teeth and avoiding incontinence will be major challenges.
Even if you can still function finding a partner will be difficult unless you have money in your pocket. A trick will do something strange for some change.
