  1. I think me and a lot of others are aliens, descendants of life forms transported to Earth by asteroids and comets from outer space. We are the15 percent of the population with the O negative blood type that science can't figure out. I've never felt comfortable on Earth or at home in America. I'm like a stranger in a strange land. Too many odd scenes appear before me when I close my eyes. And my tinntinitus sounds like the sound of the wind whistling. My dreams are bizarre and very vivid. As a grade schooler, i remember being very excited when reports about "flying saucers" first began appearing in the news. I believed in them! Nobody but an alien would think they were an alien. 🤪 źzźżzźzzzzz zzzzzzzzzz
  2. Thank you, Mel, for pointing out some very significant things about the dynamics of the election. When it comes to waging a verbal war, I wanna be in the trenches with you!👍 The Bible says something about "reaping what you sow." ( Unless you're the orange teflon Don, I guess.) Black folks still waitin' on Jesus to deliver them. Maybe he didn't get the memo. I'm beginning to suspect God is a Republican, - or that Satan is at the wheel. 😳
  3. It amazes me that you guys still think Blacks have any power left to do or influence anything in America. With the Retrumpicans in control of EVERYTHING, the only thing any of the leaderless black tribes or the demoralized Democrats will be able to do is what the entrenched regime will allow them to do. Pioneer's delusion that America will be what Blacks make it become is beyond ludicrous. Do y'all really think those in power will concede elections to opponents if, indeed, elections are held any more. Do you really think Congress or the Senate backed up by the Supreme Court and Speaker of the House and, if necessary, the Military, not to mention the technology of the shadow dictator, Elon Musk, will pass any legislation that benefits anybody but those already in power? You dreamers seem to be totally oblivious to the reality that Retrumpicans, aided and abetted, by the Ameican Heritsge Foundation, which crafted Project 25, and also got out the vote for tRump, will take over the country. They are organized and they've got the numbers. It will take a revolution to overturn the new Reich. And revolutions take decades to get it together. Am I an alarmist? Time will tell.
  4. Time for the cynical pessimist aka Contrarian to check in. America has not only outgrown itself but it has regressed, becoming a cacaricature and a mockery of the noble high standards it supposedly stands for. With the re-election of the orange buffoon who Sylvester Stallone just referred to as a modern George Wasgington (?), what was destined to happen, is about to happen. A new American zeitgeist is set to begin, the government of which will be a comedic farce with a cast of quacks and shysters and tin soldiers all gathered in the wings, waiting for the curtain to fall on what a Congress of racist misogynistic foundling fathers labeled a "perfect union". And a majority of this country's present population will feel right at home in the emerging fascistic theocracy because it represents who they really are. A bunch of religious hypocrites and patiotic bigots who aren't too smart. What Americans actually are, has caught up with their 250 year old masquerade. Sadly, going up against a Retrumpican Reich which will control all branches of the Government including the Supreme Court and the Armed Forces, will be a formidable task for the Liberal opposition. Free speech may even be punished. Welcome to the Red States of the American Heritage Foundation. Any regrets or apprehensions I had about leaving this life have miraculously disappeared. I'm ready to blow this pop stand. 🤪
  5. I disagree with what are the opinions expressed by nels - and pioneer when it comes to America being ready for a female president Imo, Kamala and Hillary were both much more qualified than the lying-ass felonious SOB they lost to. Furthermore, chauvinism of black and brown males and the unacknowledged racism of white middle America played a significant role in Kamala's loss. Ready for a black female president, hell. Plus, Kamala's black father and her choice of college and sorority legitimize her right to self-identify herself as a black woman. She's certainly not white. nels doesn't have an objective bone in his body. Everything he says is inspired by his hate for Democrats and underscored by his slavish devotion to Retrumpicans. He expects everthing he utters to be accepted as the gospel truth. In another post, he disputes the impression of Kamala appearing confident in defeat, by claiming she is, instead, a "basket case", something we are supposed to believe because - HE says it. He's full of shit turned orange colored by the koolaid served at meetings of the tRump cult.
  6. @ProfDYou answered your own question. The reasons you gave explained why nobody is shaming white women for abandoning Kamala. Because that's the way it's always been; white women play it safe and remain loyal to their racist chauvinistic mates. It's understandable why they'do this rather than embrace feminism. On the other hand, black male Trump supporters are rightfully being cited because they had a chance to advance their race, and they chose to support a convicted felon, and side with their misogynistic, burrito-eatin brothers rather than honor their black sisters and mothers. Fingers could also be pointed at the black females who chose Trump over a woman of color. But their reasons aren't even worthy of being analyzed because they're so catty and petty and down right jealous, - straight outta a gossipy hen session. And Kamala's doing the jobs she was elected to do, made no difference to these treacherous heffas. Alas, for all the metaphysical BS about "karma". Trump's misdeeds have never caught up with him! Instead, in his dotage, he has been rewarded with OMNIPOTENCE, courtesy of an indifferent universe. Piss on amerika. Glad I'm 91, not 19. 😝
  7. @Pioneer1Did you watch Kamala's entire speech? Her defeat was incidental. She focused on what lie ahead, sounding a call to arms to her immense following of women and young people in the audience, passionately urging them to regroup and forge ahead in the battle for full freedom, telling them to never give up on their dreams and goals. Concession speeches are traditionally critiqued by the press, because they are historical and Kamala's is receiving high marks from today's talking heads.
  8. The pundits can and are citing black and brown men as being factors in Kamala's loss. And I agree that those who voted red were "guilty" because a lot of different things contributed to her defeat. For one thing, their preference for tRump bordered on admiration as he took the low ground and crudely disrespected her in his rants, much to their approval. As for the clueless Dems, they misread the white electorate, and underestimated the negative role race still plays among these voters. Then there was the mistake of believing the endorsement of celebrities would bring their fans into the fold and sway the Independents. Instead, it had the opposite effect. "Abortion",by name, should've been absorbed into the "right for a woman to control her own body" phrase because black folks, militant brothas and church goin folks in particular, associate the word abortion with genocide and get a little touchy when it is stridently extolled. Whatever. After watching Kamala's kick-ass dynamic concession speech, I became more impressed with her. But not to the point where I'm revitalized. I'm weary and l'm done. Nor am I of a mind to kiss and make up with Trump supporters. I haven't really mellowed with age or - become patriotic Fuck America.
  9. Did you guys see Kamala's concession speech today? She seemed very comfortable in defeat and confident about the future.
  10. Get real. No way the American people were going to turn around and vote for the black wife of a black man who just served as POTUS for 8 years. You're talking "dynasty"! Besides that, she comes across as a school teacher lecturing to a class room of kids hoping the bell will hurry up and ring. She's uptight and humorless. 😵‍💫 And sensible enough to not want the job.
  11. @Mzuri: How could anybody be so oblivious when it comes to how ignorant, lascivious, and mentally erratic Donald tRump is? Kamala is flawed but Trump is sn embarrassment, - the personification of everything that besmirches and disgraces the office of POTUS. America should be ashamed of itself. And the American people should be frightened over what this egomanical, pathological liar will turn this country into. And your criticism of this forum is unwarranted. Things aren't any worse than they were when you were here.
  12. Kamala was not the candidate to run against Trump. America is not ready for a black woman president. Americans are showing you what they are. Dems have shown how naive and idealistic they are.
  13. @TroyQuincy's personal life wasn't given a lot of publicity. He was a behind the scenes celebrity. What he produced superceded who he was. His affinity for white women was incidental. No, I never saw him perform live. He didn't do a lot of touring. His forte was actually arranging music for other muscians.
  14. There isn't even a remote likelihood for 2 of the suggested scenarios to take place, - except in a Spike Lee movie. The white establishment would most certainly question what's in it for them if they agreed to putting another tribe in second command? Not only does being the largest minority benefit Hispanics, they also have a good work ethic. Asians are disciplined and highly professional. Blacks? They're splintered and checkered and volatile. Being good athletes and more sexually impressive aren't beneficial enough to make the cut. Would their mounting an armed challenge to the Establishent prove successful? Puleeze. The logistics involved in pulling off such an operation are overwhelming. Can we come down to earth here?Other than natural selection and survival of the fittest, there is no grand plan. Or master manipulator when it comes to the inhabitants of this miniscule star in a giant galaxy. Some breeds evolved into winners, others into also-rans. The pecking order is firmly entrenched. Randomness does keep individual achievement in the mix. Reality is a bitch. 😉🤪 Pay me no mind. This election has me in a particularly pessimistic mood. >Sigh<. I'm depressed.
  15. I was always in sync with "Q" because we're the same age and from the same place. But now he gets to rest in peace, while I continue to exist amidst turmoil. And the beat goes on... 😮‍💨🫶
  16. @Jesus - oops i mean pioneer.Blah, blah, blah. Why would I post a picture of me unless it was by mistake.while trying to post one of the son of God who you think is your alter-ego? But don't bother to answer because you seldom know what you're talking about. Thinking you know the true nature of death is just the latest example of your know-it-all- delusions. I am grateful, however, that you didn't cloud that issue with a lot of hot air the way you usually do. źzzzzzzzzzzzz
  17. @Pioneer1How do you know that for sure? You've strayed from the worlds of reality and perspective and drifted into the territory of speculation. Your pontifications are opinions, even if based on science which, itself, only goes so far - or religion which is even more questionable. Because, we are not omniscient, the different detailed explanations offered by everyone here are just personal theories. Reality is mind boggling. Life is a mystery. Language inadequate Mere mortals know not that they know not.
  18. Humm... From my perspective, reality is a slippery slope. And that's it. I often find myself asking is this really happening or am I imagining it when I am frozen in a moment of self-awareness. Sometimes when I feel unreal, I pinch myself to make sure that I am "there". If I happen to catch a glimpse of my shadow, I tell myself that it is proof that I exist. I shift between the world of my dreams and the world of my wakefullness, not sure which is which. When it comes to something like colors, I'm in agreement with the idea that maybe my blue is somebody else's red and neither of us knows it. I've grown skeptical about the purity of what is described as the "truth", - which strikes me as being a synonym for perspective. I'm curious about why I am. Anxious about where I'll be when I m not anymore. I'm burdened with questions and bereft of answers. I. Don't. Know. has become my mantra. zzzzzzzzz
  19. @ProfD: These reluctant black male voters would be whining and sulking if they were being ignored and written off. When approached about joining a crusade to ward off the kind of dictatorship that Trump is just salivating to turn America into, all these smug brothas can think about is asking what's in it for them. The answer to that quiery is: a country that will have staved off a theocratic fascistic take over. And just for the record, John Legizamo, Geoge Lopez and Rosie Perez have been urging Hispanics to support Kamala. And the female vote is also being solicited by prominent women from all sectors to gain support for Roe vs Wade. I hate to burst their inflated sense of importance, but these obstinate black men aren't the only ones being asked to volunteer their vote. When Obama was running for POTUS, nobody had to put their foot up the asses of black women to gain their support. They were eager to help him get elected, not looking for anything in return, just glad to participate in a quest for the common good. Not so with these black men, many of whom are the same ones who quickly became disillusioned with Obama because he couldn't overthrow institutionalized racism or overcome a Republican-dominated senate. All of this is just one more reason why I was not enthusiastic about Kamala's candicacy. As I feared, she is being held to a much higher standard than a man. Trump's flaws are overlooked because people identify with his vulgar, petty, incompetence, but as a woman running for president, Kamala Harris is punished for not being perfect. I will be pleasantly surprised if she wins. I can only hope...
  20. @Delano: Which.post was this? What did I say?
  21. I've heard that back during the hey day of Hollywood's motion picture industry, white "stage mothers" were not above encouraging their young daughters to "be nice" to the studio moguls and movie stars. e.g. It was said to be common knowledge that Kirk Douglas "raped" teen-age starlet Natalie Wood as a result of this practice. And also, that bi-sexuality was rampant among a lot of Hollywood's leading men. Currently, there is a move underway to release the Menendez brothers who have served 35 years for slaying their parents because of allegedly being molested by their own father was what drove them to commit murder! There is no limit to how low sexual predators, fueled by their positions of power will stoop because this, combined with great wealth, can bring out the worst in the male animal, - making idle time the playground of the devil! PLAYBOY's Hugh Hefner's mansion was also reputed to be a bastion of ongoing orgies involving ambitious female nymphets. DIddy probably did what he did simply because he could do what he did. He was drunk with power! None of thris is new. It dates back to the biblical references about Sodom and Gomorrah. Not to mention the Roman Catholic Church. Hail Mary! zzzzzzzzz
  22. @nels😴 Watta crock of bullshit. Anybody like you who is enslaved to a political party that has a leader like Donald Trump, has zero credibility. I'd go so far as to say you're mentally disturbed; afflicted with cognative dissonance. Fanatically possessed by the conservative ideology that has numbed your intellect. Whenever you post something, I consider the source. It's also significant that you have yet to acknowledge the obvious, that your candidate Trump is not fit to be POTUS. Why? Because you have an aversion to the truth and reek with inconsistencies, unable to defend how blatantly flawed the fool you support is. You are so obsessed with the disparity betwern your version of the Democratic party and the reality that others have observed and experienced that you can't think straight. There is a mile-wide gulf between what is written by cherry-picking pundits with agendas and the way things actually exist in real life. All you're good for is posting articles written by conservative mouth pieces.Your world view is so warped it is consuming you, but anybody with any amount of common sense isn't guillible enough to swallow the partisan propaganda you continue to dump on this forum. Realistic goals and a comprehension of practical expectations of what LIFE offers would liberate you from the pipe dreams that possess you and others like you. Y'all have yet to figure out that the Universe doesn't give a good god damn about what you think your race deserves. If you're born with black skin, well, those are the breaks. Face it, you're on your own but if you get lucky, you'll survive. Having a few skill sets will improve your chances. Keep that in mind and do your own thing. 😝 Just for the record, I identify as a black woman and I don't think Kamala Harris, the woman of color, the Howard University grad and Alpha Kappa Alpha soror is going to have any great impact on sistas. But I do think a victory for her bodes better for this country than the fascistic theocracy Trump and his packed SCOTUS will usher in.
  23. @DelanoI don't have any original "thoughts" in regard to your impressions of Troy's words. His reaction to your analysis was positive and spoke for itself. You might want to analize what I had to say in my 2 posts about the upcoming election If you want to get some incite to my crazy sub-conscious dooms day mind. I think what you are doing is similar to reading between the lines, - which is very ZEN.
