  1. @Troyand i want to add, being the primary search engine in the usa and for most of the online community is important. I comprehend data acquisition is valuable in various ways but in defense of tiktok, I think they want to be the big website and that means quality. remember, tiktok is the first non usa based website to have such a strong presence in the usa, I think that is underrated, the internet in the future will be global, and that is something no one has experienced before, the internet before tiktok was dominated by usa firms across the board, that age is ended , the future will have unexpected scenarios
  2. @Troy right, but between the people who thought the internet would become the great individual liberty place side the firms who through the structure of the usa based internet easily took over operations, it was bound to happen. I hope so to , for me this website is a rare black owned example online. And I know I have made this speech before but so many black people online talk about black empowerment everywhere else in humanity except online. Why is most black people online who daily rant to what they feel black people need to do to positively support black like: all black people voting, all black people buy from a black shop, all black people marry black, don't seem willing to join a black owned website online and make that the primary location of their activities? That is my only true online peeve. Black people online complain about some negativity among black people and yet, said black people are unwilling to join a black owned website and make it a major online destination.
  3. @Troy exactly, but i do blame the larger design. The internet's design is open for manipulations, this has made it where firms can make a lot of money, but also where the independence some thought the internet would be today <everyone own a website> is... not
  4. thank you for your reply @Tesa Are you a writer Tesa or another type of artist ? I will like to see your work if available.

  7. MY THOUGHTS 0:20 Zenobia your shirt 4:44 People forget that in the 1970s in the north east, some schools had the last of governmentally funded activities. 7:27 And the USA has continually asked Cuba to let them take Assata Shakur from in Cuba. And Assata Shakur still has a warrant for her. 8:29 yes, Billy Holiday 10:18 Tupac is a real life example of a child growing up in an environment like :Night Catches Us Black kids growing up in Black Panther homes in Black communities in the 1970s is a huge dichotomy. The Black Panthers had great successes but were hammered all the time by white organizations , governmentally or private. In the 1970s at their first phases end, the black community in the majority is being abused and attacked , from drugs being put in black communities bu law enforcement agencies which are proxies for white communal wealth. All this creates a complex environment. 16:12 nice musical point on the changes of Tupac's music 18:37 frustration not anger 20:45 stress created the bald headedness, yes , artist knows 23:36 Tupac/Biggie many black entertainers have complex lives. 25:15 Did they ever find out who killed Tupac? 27:13 Selena was pregnant, I didn't know that. 28:25 Interesting that Tupac's family did trust someone who had a relatively negative relationship or distant relationship with Tupac. 30:39 Nike, I thought about what you said about the Aretha Franklin biopic.

  10. @ProfD book too:)
  11. @Chevdove have you read the book or seen the film "passing"?
  12. well @Chevdove You say two things. Between Douglass side Garrison is one thing. Between Garrison and the "anti slavery movement" is another. I will start with Douglass and Garrison. What separated the two , philosophically? Douglass opposed slavery but he loved the USA, he was a firm federalist. Douglass was a huge supporter of involvement in government in the usa, for he thought the system of government in the usa is of a quality that it can improve itself to the betterment of all humanity. Sequentially, Douglass accepted the idea of gradualism. Garrison opposed slavery but he though the government of the usa, the federal government was purely dysfunctional. What do I mean by purely dysfunctional? Garrison's problem was deeper than elected officials, he felt advocacy to issues like abolistion or women's rights was impossible through government. To Garrison government didn't need time to change, and could change at any moment. That is the key to Douglass friction side Garrison. Garrison to the anti slavery moment is where the persecution to him comes from. Yes Garrison was anti slavery, or abolition. But, he opposed participation in the usa government or more importantly, the idea that the usa government is a positive institution. to him the usa federal government was a sham, and that is probably a nice word. So, all the anti slavery or abolition folks who wanted laws to change or legal systems to be molded despised him. He opposed partiality. He wanted women, all women, to have the full right to vote at the same time as all blacks. Again, the anti slavery or abolition folks who accepted the rights of black men to vote but not of women of any race to vote to him was a betrayal of supposed support for anti slavery. so those who accepted slavery in the confederate states or accepted inequality in rights opposed him. And he also was anti-jewish, he thought jews, any phenotype, are a people whose actions led and lead to their own downfall throughout history. And as the white jewish community became a huge financier of many non white male movements in the usa and added to their financing a pro jewish stance in organizations. so all together he had many detractors in movements during his life and even moreso after his life. Look at the black community in the year 2023. Black anti government folk, Black anti incrementalist, Black anti jewish folk are each minorities in the black community in the USA. But they exists. In defense of you, don't be confused, the truth is, the USA is a country of individualism. The main problem with individualism is by default it is anti group or collective. The best thing for Individualism is for individuals to relinquish group or collective affiliations. But in the usa, a government started by groups against groups, It can be argued that individualism is naturally dysfunctional in the usa. and that is part of what garrison meant. The USA government design can be argued is pro slavery by design. I am not suggesting I am supporting this idea fully but it has merit.

  17. @Pioneer1 While I concur that Adams needs to put a block on immigration to New York city. It isn't like any mayor of New York City before Adams made policy that reduced homelessness + increased affordable housing + provided increased legal revenue opportunities to reach every demograph in the city. And NYC has always absorbed large quantities of fiscally poor + totally disconnected to the city people in erratic or dysfunctional ways.
  18. JAmes baldwin once said, the world isn't white, the world isn't black either.
  19. @Troy the answer to your question is no where. The why is in parts. First it is expensive. The news has various places. Sports/Law enforcement/Municipal or government news/financial news/ or other. Financial or Sports provide more facts because of the betting environment of sports or the tax environment of finance. But even they provide little. But law enforcement , Neely's case is hard for facts. The testimony of witnesses is not facts. The video is facts. The audio recordings are facts. But, very little facts exist in said cases and news reporters looking for facts are not detective's or investigators or lawyers, who must trust opinions of eyewitnesses or law enforcers or the accussed for their job to accuse or defend in or out of court. A news paper filled with facts will have to have a lot more reporters going around, which means higher salary. Cause you are not going to fill the average new york times daily , take out the op-ed section , with facts from the same quantity of stories, you will need far more reporters which is very expensive. Second, the modern audience or readership in the usa at the least, has been trained to love gossipy -opinion based news. Richard Murray News will not take over the news world in terms of readership even if the money is spent for a newspaper plus website equivalent to the scale of the new york times or wall street journal. So this is a money pit. Who invests in a losing financial venture absent some media hook that a newspaper doesn't have? Third, it is the heritage of the news industry. Hearst like the early internet websites and the financiers who manipulated them, took a communication medium, newspapers or the internet and groomed it to be less quality. This is why some are fearful of computer programs labeled falsely artificial intelligence. Human beings with money are the ones who guide new technologies and rarely do they guide them to anything but their profit gardless of the damage of using a tool so poorly. Newspapers are one of many tools that fit that category of misused.
  20. @ProfD fair enough to your opinion. a baby kitten wouldn't want to be left alone with him
  21. @ProfD all shaq plus many others did was endorse the firm, they got paid to advertise for it. They didn't invest their money. They were paid by ftx side others to get others to invest their money. How is shaq ignorant? haha, my biggest issue is embellishment. I find in cases of sexual abuse embellishment occurs too much. By what she is saying where are photos of her naked in the office. I can't believe no eyewitnesses exist based on what she said. Guiliani can't have paid off all eye witnesses or have no enemies
