  1. @Dr Francis Welsin Define pro black. I think little consensus exists in the black community to how a black person exhibits a pro black stance? Many parents throughout history are shocked when children's culture do not reflect their own, in the future martians will be shocked their children marry ioans. From frederick douglass to barack obama, most but not all <not all>, black leaders have emphasized peaceful coexistence with whites. What sign of peaceful coexistence is greater than when romeo marries juliet?
  2. NYC's real estate model is near perfect. The engine of the real estate value is a set of globally rich people who have statistic proof that in five years anything bought in NYC will yield a large profit aside a set of evaluation schemes that can only go up. Sequentially, this drives all real estate value in NYC up. The real estate industry in NYC though dominated by white jews, has people of all phenotypical/linguistic/geographic/age races making money off of it. LAstly, many if not most people in NYC, have never been able to gather in an effort to end the real estate industry's control of the city and thus the relationship to rent.
  3. @nels the most blunt insensitive or unhopeful answer to your question is no. Black America is a community, of at least tens of millions, made up of many tribes. It has no central organization. All those factors means it is not prepared to do anything.
  4. @Delano good question, the following is my answer https://aalbc.com/tc/profile/6477-richardmurray/?status=1809&type=status
  5. @nels I just want to know your definition of the left? who is in it? who is not in it? IF you want you can give your definition of the right... who is in it, who is not in it. YOu can also add if you think a center or not left-right exists and how do you define that?
  6. @Troy I will ask you what I asked the poster... Can you please describe in your view the goal of pan africanism, not pan africanism itself just the goal? The global community of African Descent, which does not include only black people, or the global community of Black people, which does not include only africans, does not have a consensus on the definition or the goal of Pan Africanism. So I ask you to define the goal of Pan Africanism in your opinion.
  7. what would you change in the story, it seems a lot so lets hear it @Troy

  10. You make an interesting or positive point, in my mind @Mzuri One I should had mentioned and didn't. thank you. ... I still don't think I have acted in any way special. I do think of richard pryor's old joke, about white people in the woods. If you walk the street with a gold watch on, well shame on you. To be blunt, NYC, like all big cities in humanity has and always will be full of financially poor people, statistically poorer than most people outside the big cities, including the small black towns , white or black or other. so, blinging around them is inviting trouble.
  11. I have never experienced crime in NYC as a problem. I know neighbors, black or white , who said such things. I know neighbors black or white who agree with me. Various ages or gender or other racial category. At the moment, people see what they want to see when it comes to crime. Statistics are assessed, make of them what you will. I don't see a right or wrong as much as opinion. The lack of a functional collective consensus hurts black people. The term black on black crime isn't unfair to me. But, its utilization is clearly based on biases from black or non black people. The biases have been built up for centuries. Are the biases on truth? I say no. But each bias has an agenda, from the black or the non black. My Expanded Thoughts Single Status Update from 02/04/2022 by richardmurray - AALBC.com’s Discussion Forums
  12. @nels I have no idea how one can determine fiscally wealthy black people's agenda long term or allegiance short term... I can't say whether they know they are being played or not... but I know that NYC wasn't built by the white community, it was built by wealthy whites. Downtown manhattan didn't come because of a grassroots effort. Rich whites spent alot of their money for their own agenda, it happened to include poor whites. And the rest is history. from HBCUs to Black Towns in the southern states, Maryland to texas, the fiscally wealthy black community has a role to play that has been negative for the most part. This is why SHirley CHisholm said before her spirit flew, finance was the answer. Not as much in making money but in a larger multiversity of black people being monied, will change how that community acts as well as offer general betterment to their friend or colleagues. Georgia has black towns. Why does usher have to live in Atlanta? It is not to pick on him but the point is, when a black person reaches a certain financial level. Why they do what they view is based on their biases, negative or positive, or views and no one else is to blame. Financially poor black people , regardless of their philosophical variance, don't have the money to do whatever they want in reason. Thus, their choices are in my view, as I am also upper poor, constrained.

  14. @nels I don't know when any individual or group will achieve a philosophical epiphany. But the media of the USA, most of the media, is dominated by white owned entities. It was from the time the usa was british colonies to now. I don't know when , which is your question. But I know how. How will involve fiscally wealthy black people who exists in modernity making the investments to strengthen black owned media. I don't know if they will, but the answer to any community having a media is for them to own one. Black America doesn't have black owned media strong enough or expansive enough for itself.

  18. The issue is about the definition or usage of marriage as a communal construct. A subsidiary issue is the variance in said definition or usage in financial tiers in the black community. What is the definition of marriage? Some say it is when a man <defined as someone born with a penus> side a woman <defined as someone born with a vagina> decide to join eternally. Some say it is when a pastor as a christian church performs a ritual. Some say it is when a registration form from a government is issued. Some say it is natural law. Outside humanity, other children of earth have from ancient times lovingly or legitimately married in all forms: the entirety of life <eagles>, brave premortem <spiders> legendary multispousal <lions> proud single parenthood <tigers>, or more. I say marriage is as those involve want it to be. The imposition of the outsider to those in a marriage is the great flaw. to restate, if you wish to marry one way, why are others forced to use your method or be judged by your method. The usage of marriage in non humans is ancient and like humans inconsistency exists. Non humans have many examples of mating outside species so that can be deemed no other than the variable forms in humans. Over time things can change. In the same way, many lions will not have a pride their entire life or lose a pride for the remaining years of their life. A human can be married in a christian fashion, and then end their life in common law. SEquentially, the definition or usage of marriage doesn't have a standard, should not be viewed as something to gain concensus on or have a respectable form. It is for the marred to define or use, all others outside a marriage , if they want to do something positive, wish well, if they want to do something negative, judge or make determinants Now, the last issue pertains well to Rihanna and that is marriage in financial tiers of the black community. History matters. For most of the post war between the states years in the usa, the financial aristocracy in the black community was over ninety percent male + christian. But today, in the year 2022, the financial aristocracy of the black community in the usa is not ninety percent male + christian. Said fiscal aristocracy has women, muslims, areligious, and yes... black people in the collage of independent or disconnected races called LGBTQ+. What does this mean for the fiscal wealthy? their attachments to the common marriage culture of black fiscal aristos dominant in the past is dead. And, in the usa, one other factor exists. The financial legality of divorce. In the usa divorce is a mess when one has money. It is a way for lawyers to make tons of money and a way for media to gain tons of clicks and should be avoided by anyone with money. But what is the only way to avoid that, while still having children, a marriage , comfortable home, is to not get married through the government or religion. And, to be blunt, absent a piece of paper from a government or clergy, if you live with someone, with the intimacy plus fights and possibly the children, that is called marriage. The good news is that using forms of marriage defined outside the christian community or government means breaking up is easier. And anyone who has been in relationships knows, breakups can happen. So, I wish Rihanna side the baby, side her partner, all the best in the world.
  19. @daniellegfny hmm well said, I am not placing value or enough value on the cooperative activity of black people in production. Well said. @Troy danielle's work counts:) It was not my intention but my intention's scope was too small. @Stefan thank you for informing me of your positive work or information on the life of the photographers guild:) ... I wanted to know if the word images is adequate to use for your portraits or the photos that I take leisurely?
  20. @Cynique ahhh your first point alludes to the purpose behind my question. My question wasn't about who is dominant between black or white, or the legitimacy plus truth in the rule, or challenging individual viewpoint , or dictating majority viewpoint in the black community. I find most to all of us blacks, myself included, tend to not mention that the black community, globally as well, in the usa do not utilize any collective conferencing when it comes to what will be decided to be black. IT seems to me, the black community, as with the terms new negro or renaissance for the black community in the usa or harlem in particular, utilize an individualism in labels. The exhibit A is the labels: black american/african american/negro/black these terms you probably can't get the average black person to define separately, whereas getting at least two black people to concur to the definitions of said phrases/words is near impossible. That is the point of my question. You said passing had a black director. And... I ask myself, where is the black communal council to dictate which labels go where or how they are defined? Now, do I know about the resources or lack of resources in the black community? yes. I ask myself cause it is clear, the black community, globally, is hindered by allowing individual labeling to be appropriate. I utilize new negro or renaissance. If you are I are making a speech , for the same thing, and I use one term and you use the other. Neither of us are wrong or right. But is it good for a community to allow for the individual philosophy to be utilized. Many black people argue about communication issues, but how can they be better when we don't have a collectively accepted , and yes I know 100% will never concur to anything, set of terms about black people? Either each black individual has an epiphany where all individual black mindsets become similar OR the black community creates some sort of organization that most, over 90%, black people <whomever that exactly is:)> accept as the rule maker to labels.
