I get email almost everyday about some book I posted that Facebook does not like and is cut from the platform. Authors often complain about book reviews being disallowed on Amazon. Google banned this entire discussion forum when it was on http://thumperscorner.com from serving their ads because of comments they did not like. They could have easily disallowed ads on the individual pages they had an issue with, but they summarily banned the entire domain! That was the reason I relocated the discussion forum to AALBC's domain. I could go on and on about this subject and how corporate algorithms are designed to maximize revenue period. Any social good is incidental. Obviously the rich and power who own the platforms control the narrative. I think it is noteworthy that the WSJ would report on this. But, they are largely preaching to the choir. The people who really need to understand this are stuff are too busy scrolling through TikTok and Instagram videos. It irks me to no end when Black people proclaim how our people are somehow advanced by using Facebook or any other social media platform that we have no control over.

I have to admit Nicki Minaj has a point here. The media insatiable design to create "news" out of nothing has them trolling the internet to create News stories. The fact that Joy Ann Reid has been used to publicly diss another Black woman is disheartening at best. I actually read a few of Minaj's tweets. She wrote she will get the vaccine, as she has to tour. She also wrote that she did not discourage others from getting vaccinated. While I may Minaj's with her reasoning for not yet getting the vaccine herself. I know many people who have the same opinion. The difference is the people are not slamming them on TV for it. Celebrity does have a price. Comments made by celebrities -- even ones with almost 23 million followers on Twitter can not be the source of our news. Why not use the time to talk about the science behind Covid or, if you have to troll social media, amplify the celebrities spreading objectively factually information? I discovered this after checking my messages on Twitter, and an author I follow retweeted a retweet of Minaj's tweet (below). Interestingly the author's interpretation of Minaj's original tweet was distorted too -- just like the old telephone game. Normally I ignore all of this stuff, but sometimes I too fall prey to this crap too 😞 I'm only human.

Why Black people (any people really) continue to willingly provide free content to enrich Facebook AND subject themselves to this is beyond me: Mark Zuckerberg has publicly said Facebook allows its more than nearly three billion users to speak on equal footing with the elites of politics, culture and journalism, and that its standards of behavior apply to everyone, no matter their status or fame. In private, the company has built a system that has exempted high-profile users from some or all of its rules, according to company documents reviewed by The Wall Street Journal. At times, the documents show, the system has protected public figures whose posts contain harassment or incitement to violence, violations that would typically lead to sanctions for regular users. A 2019 internal review of the program, marked attorney-client privileged, found such favoritism to be both widespread and “not publicly defensible.” In a written statement, Facebook spokesman Andy Stone said criticism of the program was fair, but added that the system “was designed for an important reason: to create an additional step so we can accurately enforce policies on content that could require more understanding.” Facebook knows, in acute detail, that its platforms are riddled by flaws that cause harm in the real world, according to an extensive array of internal company communications reviewed by the Journal. Moreover, the documents show, it often lacks the will or the ability to address them. This is the first in a series of articles based on those documents and on interviews with dozens of current and former employees.

No I have never met the enigmatic Harry in the real world. He/She/They/It is as much a mystery to me as He/She/They/It is to you all. The video was shameful on several levels. There were seemingly more people with cameras that there were participants, viewers or protestors. While the attempt was on Elder, the fat old white was actually assaulted they should have been charged for that in my opinion. It was funny how the skin head looking white guy waked around the big Brother, who appears to be providing security, to get in the face of the old elderly dude. People behave like trash too often...

@Delano I'm not a trained psychiatrist, so I can't make a diagnosis, but as a layman he comes across as nutty to me. This is a perfect example of someone with a little knowledge being dangerous. I decided to watch the rest of the video. The interviewer did say he was "skeptical" about Terrance's idea (talk about a profound understatement), but he never challenged his ideas. Terrance said he figured out something, at 6 years of age, that Davinci could not figure out at 80. On it's face a bold (absurd) statement, but Howards easily explains this away by saying he has been working in these theories for multiple life times -- simple. Howard rejects 1 x 0 = 0 because the 1 has "disappeared" and this violates the conservation of energy in physics. He also does not like the fact that 1 x 1 =1. He also does not like the fact that 0.1 x 0.1 = 0.01 which means that 1 dime times 1 dime = penny! Terrance then concludes that all of math is flawed and that therefore physics and the banking system, which is based upon this math is based must also be flawed. Terrance has ignored the units: 1 dime is equal to 10 pennies. 10 pennies times 10 pennies is equal to 100 pennies, or 1 dollar. A grade school kid knows this, but Terrance, as the video clearly shows, does not understand this. Every conclusion that flows from this erroneous idea is itself flawed. Terrance can remember the square root of 2 to 15 digits, but basic math escapes him. Again there is a difference between access to information and understanding. What I don't understand is, why on earth did the oxford union provide such a tremendous platform for Terrance to expose this these hairbrained ideas? I'm sure they paid him handsomely -- probably more that I make in a year. Is this just a way for white folks to demonstrate how crazy some negros are? Is this their way of making fun of us? The truth is, white folks will give a nutty Black celebrity a platform before they give a sane Black non-celebrity one. Let me know when Terrenace's "harmonic wave resequencer" has cured someone with cancer.

I dunno, but either this guy is a genius or nuts. The Oxford Union proves a tremendous platform for his to express his theories. In the past Oxford Union hosted Brothers like Jimmy Baldwin and Malcolm X.

People are desperate for change and on some level I can't blame them. I saw Hershel walker run the hundred meters once he was the bulkiest guy on the field and came down the track like a freight engine. I could not image trying to tackle that guy in an open field. I saw a video of him promoting Trump. I would not be surprised to see him win.

Yeah I too heard that Kelly is being brought up on racketeering charges, forming a criminal enterprise. Seems ambitious and as Harry implies a bit much given all the other criminals part of organizations from the USGF, BS of A, Penn State, The Catholic Church, etc...

Yeah, there was a kid in my neighborhood who could do a double back somersault on concrete too. I though that was nuts! You have to be extremely good and fearless to do that. Concrete is unforgiving.

More than four years later I don't use social media other than to post links to the site. I don't look at anything other than what is at the top of my feed. Fours years have passed since I last looked that this thread promoted by @before' reply. Since then I had used Club House and Slack. Slack was used related to some work and business related activities I used it for a few months but largely avoid it now for many of the same reasons I stopped using social media in the first place. The problem is I often miss some useful announcements, but nothing of true importance. Club House forced you to use your hand held device, so I have to turn off the notifications. I only use it if I'm invited to an event. Though I have enjoyed the events I participated it. Facebook has really got down hill. I find very little personal value from it and my posts get very little engagement. Twitter is about the same. Instagram has grown a great deal in popularity, but I do not use it very much because you can't share links (other than in your profile) and it is really optimized for handheld and I only use it from my desktop. I have not used TikTok or Snap, I guess I just way too old for for these platforms 🙂 A couple of my website pages went viral on social media in 2020 and 2019. Both resulted in record paydays. However these were not as a result of anything I posted. In both cases I never found out you initiated the viral posts. I did see first-hand the potential for social media, but again neither of the viral posts were as a result of anything I did on social media -- it was the result of AALBC content. focusing on the website is the only thing I can control and over the last near-quarter of a century this has always been the best tactic.

Eugenics is derived from the same root as the words Euphoria, Euphemism, meaning good. But sure white racists used eugenics to justify their evil like enslaving Africans and gassing Jews...
