I just finished listening to the entire 1 hour plus long video, during my walk this evening. It was not the Minister's most riviting talk and he did not say much about Facebook. The last 16 or 17 minutes is all you really need to listen to to get the gist. He suggests that his being singled out for hate speech is biased and inconsistent. Of course he is correct. Honestly, I could careless that Farrakhan has been booted from Facebook. It is not that Facebook is irrelevant to me, but I never followed Fararrkhan on Facebook. I know where the NOI's website is, YouTube has not banned him yet, and I buy the Final Call newspaper from time to time. It was a tactical error for Facebook to ban Farrakhan. Just another inidication that they are on the decline... good riddance.

It will not be enough to get him out of office before his term is over. Just haven't found the one yet. If you wanna describe that as a problem.

@Pioneer1 you asked for my opinion in this case and I gave it. I have no horse in this race I can agree with people can disagree with them just as easily. For the record I'be been know to change my position on issues as well when provided with new perspectives and additional information. @Pioneer1 can you reference a single incidence when you did this?

Well September 2020 is more than a year away and ALOT can happen before then and I'm open to possibilities! Del you did not think 45 would make it the 1st two years, we have a bet that he will finish his term barring his untimely demise. What has changed?

@Delano it is not a matter of caring: I read the Earth was flat. Do you feel any compulsion to do any research on your own to check if the Earth is indeed flat?

Ok allow me to clarify: If you said I read in the Final Call that the NOI and the Church of Scientology were merging and provided a link. I would consider that, for the sake of our conversations (or battles if you prefer that term), first hand information even though the information was related through you. But when you make the statement (especially an absurd one) without citing a source that is no more than a rumor. I don't pass rumors certainly not without saying so unless it is otherwise obvious. It makes no sense it argue about unsubstantiated rumors. But I can see arguing about why one should believe one or not.

No, it does not. I know what the word "never' means. Again, context is everything. Sometimes I'm deliberately hyperbolic for effect, to emphasize a point, or to elicit a reaction. I did not try to find the quote in context, because you would have provided, it in context, or at least a link to it if that is truly what you were interested in doing. Again you cherry pick a quote out, of context, to make a point and I called you on it. Many?! Really? Show me one.

The matronly one is a fine person man and maybe there is a lesson in it. I had not thought about it that way, but maybe you are right. Maybe I'm just not ready to commit yet? Maybe I wanna keep my options open? I do know at some point I wanna lock into a monogamous and committed relationship, but just not today :-)

@Delano, seriously, it matters where you get information. I never use, or repeat, information from sources from an unknown entity -- especially if it second hand info. That is how fake news spreads -- sometimes virally. So when you say the NOI is considering merging with Scientology I dismiss it immediately; first because, on it's face, it makes no sense; and second because you provided no reputable source. I don't make it a habit of using the internet to verify things that are ludicrous. I did however do this once. I did some internet searches on Flat Earthers and watched a couple of videos in an effort to understand why some people believe the Earth is flat. The problem really is not a lack of intelligence, but one of information, a propensity to believe in conspiracies, and other issues. It is the same reasoning used by people who believe 45 is good for the country or don't believe man is responsible for the dramatic change in climate Now if you provided a link to a source like the Final Call newspaper which said the NOI are looking to merge with Scientology I would believe it and actually be interested in reading more. I agree with you it would be pointless to argue about the NOI merging with Scientology because all we have is your unsubstantiated rumor from a decade ago.

@Pioneer1 I don't think anyone would dispute that the Caribbean makes up part of the Americas the north or south american continental plate (or whatever the correct tecnical term is). However, when you wrote, "Both Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic are part of AMERICA just like Jamaica, Haiti, Mexico, ect...," you were unclear because when people say "America" they are normally referring to the U.S. of A., not the Caribbean, Canada, or North America. "I rule in favor of the ladies, case closed." I slam down the gavel and rise to retire to my chambers.

You do realize I used to activitively use Twitter, right? A reasonable person would also understand I was an advanced user of the site. I simply have chosen not to use it as much any longer any longer. Again Twitter is very easy to use. The very nature of a tweet itself requires stripping away context, nausance, and complexity. This is perhap why Twitter is 45's weapon of choice. Again, context matters. I know for a twitterphile, like yourself, that is an foriegn notion, so If you think big tabacco provides a societal good, that I would condone the molestation of children go ahead, but you'd be wrong. @Pioneer1 thank you again context is everything. I was simply not willing to be judge, jury, and executioner for a situation I knew very little about - save Malcolm's 2nd hand information.

I can't think of anyone that would fit the January date. I assume you meant Oct 2018. I can think of someone three weeks later, in Nivember, but during this time frame. As far as September 2020 I'd be surprised if it takes that long to find a steady boo. Indeed the longer I take the more I'm inclinded to be a free agent. There are certainly benefits on boths sides -- at least in the short term.

@Delano the merger of the NOI seems so unlikely that it is laughable. Where did you read/here this ... Twitter? 😉

@Mel Hopkins I'm perfectly fine relating my personal experiences when giving my opinion. I was not trying to "prove" anything. At least three of us, including yourself, have presented anecdotes both supporting and not supporting the "white folks washcloth theory." While is may not rise to that of urban legend it is obviously not universally true, which is why I did not bother searching for it.

Now this was news to me until a month ago. I had a couple stay with me for a few days last month. I laid out towels, one of those hands towels, and a wash cloth. The woman (Black) told me her husband (white) does not use a wash cloth. She said "white people don't use wash cloths." I thought that statements was odd, but I just put the wash cloth away and kept it moving. I've been to a number of white countries and cities and was always provided a wash cloth. I've also stayed on white homes and was always provided wash cloths. White people not using wash cloths sounds like an urban legend to me.

Cherry picking a quote out of context to make an arguement is a Twitter move. All you are missing is the animated gif to go with it 😉

I'm trying to understand your reasoning for calling Farrakhan "...a black nazi full of hate for the 'other'." Fararrkhan only disparaged Jews who behave in a wicked fashion. He is no more homophibic or chavanistic than many Christians -- but no one calls them Nazi's. You don't like Fararekhan; I get that, but lets not adopt the language of our oppressor to disparage our Brother. Look, Nazi's killed 6 millions jews and were coming after us next. Fararrkhan is nothing like a nazi... not even close. I will adapt I have no choice. But I will also resist. We can do both.
