The way I see it people who continue to embrace the tool of the racist is the worst victim. another thing that puzzles me is what does grouping people buy the color of their skin provide you. I mean, we know the racist you skin color as a way to easily identify people, to other them, and claim that they were inferior and justify enslaving them. @Pioneer1 what purpose does it serve now? People on the continent of India, come in many shades of brown, but they have hair like Europeans,. I guess you’d put them in the black bucket, which means you don’t have to have nappy hair to be black, right? There are people with nappy red hair who you’d call Black so I guess having red hair doesn’t exclude you from being black. Suppose a person had straight red hair could they be black? There are Black people with very fair skin. I already know you don’t like to call them Black. When so many others include the United States government called these people Black. @Pioneer1 you have a system You’ve developed for putting people into racial categories but what does that tell you about the people in those different racial buckets. If you don’t know anything more about the people after grouping then into different racial categories and what’s the point of doing it in the first place?

For the life of me, I cannot understand why this simple concept is completely lost on @Pioneer1. It does not matter how many different ways it is explained -- it make no difference. As a former educator, I'm curious to learn what it will take to help him understand this. However, I may need to just accept that some people are incorrigible when it comes to some subjects.

I saw this movie twice in the theatre -- I doubt I've ever done that with another film. I saw it twice not because it was such a great film (thought it was good enough to view twice), but because I took someone else who had not seen it. Nothing dealing with spirituality can be argued (or proven) scientifically. All humans are sinners. There are so many videos attempting to break down the movie's deeper meaning. I have yet to see the filmmaker, Ryan Coogler, explaining anything, but I have not looked either... It would be nice to hear Coogler explaining the deeper meaning behind Sinners.

Sure, but as the trend continued and things got much worse for us. Science is Tyson's "religion" and he is a zealot. So, there are ideas he will never accept. As with any religious zealot anyone that does not but into the religion is a heretic burned at the stake or at the very least lambasted on a podcast. That said, Tyson's conclusions of Howard's ideas are sound. Yeah, that did not seem to be a good match. But a generally smart person can pick other skills quickly. Many of your conclusions are based upon falsehoods. Social Scientists understand that racial categories, like passing are purely arbitrary. The United States said the Homer Plessey as a Black man could be legally restricted from sitting with white. But you say Homer was white. Does this point out how silly and racist the notion of race is? This is wrong too. To someone who is fixed on race they bring race into everything the caste system had nothing to do with one skin color at least not until european racists got involved. It is like pulling teeth getting an answer out of you man. Your analogy does not answer my question. The reason there is no genetic test for race is because it is impossible to create one. Why? Today Kayne and Terrence Howard's every looney utterance garners national media attention. Cory Booker has to give a 25-hour speech to get media to cover him. Of course, people prefer to see Sly and Ali to a politician like Barbara Jordan. But again, White folks get to see their politicians and other knowledgeable people with credentials discuss issues while Black people get celebrities. When white folks want someone Black to weigh in on Covid they call Terreance Howard. Why does this matter? People dismiss the importance of credentials and are far more likely to believe a celebrity crack pot over the scientific community.

True or untrue, that was not really my point. Again, they did not have Paul McCartney and Jerry Quarry talking political science and sociology alongside Adam Clayton Powell. I did not "enjoy" the part where Sly was saying get you hand out of my face to Ali. I though his tone was unwarranted. Ali explained that Sy ideas were why Black people can get along. When Ali is in the Nation which one could easily argue is, in and of itself, divisive. I don't from the reasons I mentioned. Sly was not intimidating anyone, Ali could probably kill Sly with one punch. But Ali was not a punk, like will Smith Beating up on a much small person...

What Terrence is doing is not science allow an actual scientist to explain. Howard's thoughts are on math, not the Covid vaccine, but it gives you a sense of how he thinks and why what he says is of no interest to me. Again, the fact that others are taking in what he says is scary. No, not if I can help it. I listened to Terrence for a few minutes, but once he revealed himself to be nutty I lost interest. Franster, there are reputable sources (not Terrence Howard, Joe Rogan, or that Kennedy fellow) where you can learn more about this. But from middle school biology. The DNA is in the nucleus of the cell. The mitochondria though inside the cell is outside the Nucleus. The Covid Vaccine can not alter your DNA. This is just a fact. I wrote "Anti-Vaxxer." I retyped it at least three times and my stupid spell check changed it again behind my back!

I'm not sure what you mean by "sista." To me that connotes a shared experience with me, so I may not consider everyone a Sista or Brotha. The fact that I had ID as was unable to buy wine is why I boycott the store. The color of the skin of the person is irrelevant to me (however I can't say that the cashier felt the same way).

OK so how do you explain the concept of "passing" in our society. Passing wouldn't be a thing if all you had to do is look at someone to determine their race. I'm glad you've finally admitted that there is no genetic basic for race.

Don’t you know right after I responded and this post I read something about someone siding Terrence Howard to explain how the Covid vaccine works?! It is freaking unbelievable! no, I take that back. It is perfectly believable. I swear people are underestimating the impact of the social media feed, and how information is shoved to us custom tailored to keep us engaged the manipulation is not deliberate, but the by product. AI will only make this much worse! Who could’ve imagined Terrance Howard ravings would be held up higher than any scientist’s.

Sure. My point is that outside of boxing for Ali and music for Sly what they have to say about anything else less is less interesting to me than what you have to say. That’s just based on age and experience alone. Whenever black celebrities have something to say on subjects they have little expertise in they get more attention than a more attention than a black person with expertise in the discipline.. Terrence Howard wrote some nutty stuff about how he reinvented math and it’s all over the Internet. He’s being interviewed on these ideas Neal Degrasse Tyson even talked about it for 30 minutes on his podcast. He tore apart, but he still gave it his attention?! Same thing with Kanye West whatever nonsense he has to spout is covered on national television just because he makes music that people enjoy. So they have a musician and a boxer up there with a senator they could have Barbara Jordan on the show but again white people don’t wanna see Barbara Jordan they wanna see a prize fighter and a musician. It really is no different today.

Humm this is a surprising statement. I have not watched the video, but what make you say that is the mRNA Vaccine is Gene Therapy? Did the video in some way prove that the vaccine actually alters our genes? I know anti-vaxxers have been saying this, but saying that does not make it true. I previously said that 3.5 years of Trump not a big deal, but if we stop vaccinating our kids Trumps adverse impact may not be easily reversed by the next administration and can have repercussions for generations.
