Pioneer1 Posted April 4, 2023 Report Posted April 4, 2023 So according to reports, Trump is supposed to be "arrested" and arraigned Tuesday. My question is, if he's planning on making some sort of speech Tuesday night he either: 1. Doesn't truly believe he'll be arrested or 2. Believes he'll be arrested but for some reason immediately released; which means his arrest was just a formality. I wonder is this the typical treatment of the "average" citizen who is formally charged with the same counts he's been charged with?
ProfD Posted April 4, 2023 Report Posted April 4, 2023 The former POTUS will be released on personal recognizance. The average citizen would not have been indicted for this misdemeanor but if so, I believe they would get similar treatment. Of course, the average citizen wouldn't be flying in on a private jet with secret service agents and escorted to the courthouse in w motorcade. Then, there's the media coverage.

It's about more than just paying "hush money". A crowd of both pro and anti Trump demonstrators are expected to show and things may get violent, something the police are expected to e prepared for. Plus, if the judge issues a gag order, Trump will not be able to give a speech about his case. We shall see. 1

I've seen Lucy snatch the football away from Charlie Brown enough times to know he's never going to kick. The former POTUS has been under investigation for various things ever since before he was elected. He's been impeached twice. Several cases are being made against him. So far, nothing seems to stick to the guy. We'll see. 1
ProfD Posted April 4, 2023 Report Posted April 4, 2023 So, the former has been charged with falsifying business records in the 1st degree. Misdemeanor. Each of the 34 counts is basically one of the checks written out to the following: 1) porn star 2) doorman to keep his mouth shut about child fathered with housekeeper 3) to 'catch and kill' a news story First, NY has to prove the former POTUS orchestrated these payments. Even if found guilty, the charge is a misdemeanor that could be punishable by up to 1 year in prison. The State of NY would not sentence a former POTUS to serve time for such a crime. This whole charade is hoping the dude will drop out of the POTUS race. Not gonna happen. In reality, the Democrats best chance of getting POTUS Biden re-elected is by running against former POTUS DT again.
Pioneer1 Posted April 4, 2023 Author Report Posted April 4, 2023 Dude flew to New York to be booked and charged with 34 felonies, and didn't even spend a night in jail. Back in Florida already. Damn.
Delano Posted April 4, 2023 Report Posted April 4, 2023 They will most likely use the RICO act. To show the the Trump Organization is criminal. In which case they will seize his assets. He will go to jail broke. One of his children or Jared Kushner will cop a plea bargain. Most likely Jared am Ivanka. Since his money isn't tied up in the Trump Organization. Perjury, Tax evasion, and two counts of treason. His actions will lead to his conviction on at least three out of the 34 counts.

It's already being reported that this NY case is flimsy at best. In fact, this indictment could help him secure the GOP nomination.
ProfD Posted April 6, 2023 Report Posted April 6, 2023 @Delano, these indictments really won't go anywhere once the clown gets the GOP nomination. A POTUS candidate has a certain amount of immunity from prosecution.

Which doesn't equate with me being correct. 5 hours ago, ProfD said: A POTUS candidate has a certain amount of immunity from prosecution. Apparently not.
Pioneer1 Posted April 9, 2023 Author Report Posted April 9, 2023 Now it's reported that the man had seats to some sort of MMA fight....LOL UFC fighter absolutely bashes Joe Biden, praises Donald Trump (msn.com) Hit with 34 felony counts....but doesn't spend a NIGHT in jail. Doesn't even get house arrest. Hit with 34 felony counts....but he can go around giving inflammatory speeches and attending entertainment events enjoying celebrity status. This entire thing is a JOKE.....Trump is obviously being built up to be the next President and the "powers that be" he's always railing about are the very ones BUILDING HIM.
