Rep. Jasmine Crockett Loses Democratic Senate Primary

Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett (46%)  lost in her Senate primary bid to James Talarico (53%).

 

Democratic nominee Talarico will have an uphill battle against whoever becomes the Republican nominee as Sen. John Cornyn & Ken Paxton head to a runoff.

 

However, it remains to be seen if Talarico can do better than Beto O'Rourke did among voters back in 2018.

 

A Democrat hasn't won Texas statewide Senate race since 1994.

 

The next major political move for Rep. Crockett would be a cabinet-level position in the administration of a Democratic POTUS.

 

Until such a time, I would imagine Rep. Crockett will continue in Congress. Another possibility is that she could become a future House Leader.

She is young and charismatic, with a bright future ahead. despite the recent loss.

Actually I somewhat prefer that Talarico won.

 

All of this crap with Trump is significantly a White Male Racist problem.  Send in a White Male Democrat to cope with it.

Aside from being stunningly attractive and well done up....always.....she's also intelligent and courageous.
I could  count on her to bring that noise to the racist Republicans.

We need somebody in the Senate like that.

There's a huge Hispanic voting block in Texas. State Rep. James Talarico carried most of them.

 

Hopefully, Democratic party defending n8gglets won't blame FBA/AfroAmerican men for Rep. Jasmine Crockett losing her senate bid.

 

If there's any question about which way Hispanic folks lean when it comes to Black candidates...Texas is Exhibit A.

Unfortunately, they use Rep. Crockett's soundbites painting a sassy, loud Black woman against her when it comes to non-Black voters.

They wouldn't have to say or do shit.
Just get on television from time to time grinning and walking around looking cute.

All of which is why I agreed with Umbrarquist's comment about approving of white male Talarico winning the Democratic primary. Jasmine Crochette is not the person who can defeat a white male  Retrumpican.

The Democratic party definitely needs an infusion of candidates with personality & most importantly an agenda if they really want to slow down the GOP. 

 

IMO, merely running as an alternative to POTUS OJ is not enough to galvanize voters to derail the clown car.

Anyway,  in this microcosm of the presidential election,  Jasmine lost to a white male candidate, just like Kamala did. What is the lesson to be learned from that?

Furthermore, since black folks currently appear to have decided to sit out the white family feud pitting Liberals against Conservatives, and remain spectators on the sidelines, then they've lost their leverage. 

Its time to stop yearning about what should be, and deal with the reality of whatever it takes to oust Trump. 

Seems like it takes white politicians to defeat white politicians. Black folks can't get it together. 

Jasmine just has to wait her turn. IMO.

IMO, Black folks sitting out the elections do not make a difference in the POTUS result.

Supposedly, POTUS OJ cannot run for re-election so ousting him isn't the end goal. 

 

Usually, Democrats unseating GOP congress-folks in the midterms would render POTUS OJ a lame duck.

 

However, that doesn't insure that POTUS OJ will be a lame duck because he's doing all types of sh8t without Congress.

Black folks are beginning to realize their vote is 1) taken for granted by Democrats & 2) meaningless to Republicans.

Not surprised. Da Bears don't wanna have to deal with any potential diva WR.

 

I don't think DJ Moore would've gone that route but sometimes the incentives in a player's contract will make them a bit more demanding.

 

Da Bears do have enough talent on the roster & an offensive-minded head coach who will get the most out of it.

Even more crazy is dude was arrested several times for theft. He was being investigated for impersonating a police officer.

 

 Yet, this dude was able to get a security clearance & start a security company where he hired real off-duty police officers.

Rep. Crockett's team should have done a better job or vetting her security detail.
