  1. Lord, help us. Pioneer is now shielding himself behind a new avatar, one that brings to mind a biblical patriarch. Guess he figures he needs a make-over to dispel the devilishness that has recently burnished his aura. I always did say he had a "Messianic Complex", and now he's representing himself with a image he probably hopes will bring to mind a black Moses parting the Red Sea and leading his people to the promised land, - a far cry from the reality of his actually muddying the waters and misleading his tribesmen to the dead sea of Pseudo-Africanism. 😀 =
  2. Man, go' on somewhere and STOP BLOCKIN'.......lol. It ain't even like that now anyway....lol. We've had too many political and religious conversations so now she's n the FRIENDSHIP category (sorry Chev, lol)
  3. Cynique You're more like a dense black hole, full of yourself. Speaking of black holes that need to be filled....... NAAAAHH, I won't go there.....lol.
  4. @Pioneer1 I am divided when I read this. I can absolutely understand, AfroAmerican males having a code, and obtaining morals for yourselves, but I dunno, leaving out the input of AfroAmerican woman while you make this code, could end up being probematic. I want my sons to believe that it is vital to regard AfroAmerican females of their generation as being an important part of 'being at the table' because who makes the first impact on the next generation? I tell them that AfroAmerican woman should be allowed to be educated in the higher disciplines along with men too, because they are the ones that initially are in the position to support higher learning in children, as being mothers. Anyway, that is what I did. If I didn't know how to look out for the progams offered, competitive programs, in the educational system, through being trained in college, my sons certainly would have missed being placed in the strategic classrooms. I think women views count in how Black men ought to view us, from a moral aspect too in some regards. I worked at a shipyard and so, no, I don't want to be around a group of men in certain situations though, but that doesn't mean that i should be allowed to be part of certain decision making codes of moral and etc.
  5. @Pioneer1 here is a simple case. Some Black people believe Black people should patronize Black businesses whenever they have can, some black people believe all Black businesses are subpar and never patronize them, while others look for the best deal regardless of the ownership. What code should we adopt when it comes to creating and supporting our own businesses? How would we enforce compliance to any of the rules defined?
  6. I feel the best leaders dont want to be leaders. Snd the people that wantbto lead aren't good leaders. Martin Luther King and Donald John Trump.
  7. Pioneer I have yet to see ego less groups. I can't see a Pioneer following.
  8. Chev I don't know about you as a Black man, but I could not even make a count of how many times other men have told me and tried to convince me how useless Black men were in the attempt to try to win my affections. I believe it because I know a lot of men who DO run down other men in order to hype themselves up. Others....as you allude to.....criticize Black men because they think that's what most Black women WANT to hear so they'll verbally beat up on Black men as if THEY aren't guilty of what they're accusing other brothers of....lol. When it comes to the promises of money and sex I don't think there IS a level too low for SOME people to stoop down to. But to be honest, I've also wanted to impress women but instead of using the NEGATIVE route of running down other men I used POSITIVITY in order to impress women. I've done a lot of community work and naturally when I saw women I wanted to get involved with I would figure out ways to be with them. However instead of running down other men or the men in their lives (brothers, fathers, boyfriends, ect...) by saying THEY weren't doing anything for the community.....I would just hype up myself and how I was helping the community by fighting injustice, feeding people, ect...as a way to impress them. I don't feel guilty about it at all because I feel if you ARE doing good things and you brag about them it's NOT wrong because you're NOT lying. Even if you're doing them to impress the opposite sex or for money. I know a lot of people think that's wrong, but I don't because the actions weigh more than the intentions in my opinion.
