  1. I am more interested in the truth rather than the sources, because historically the sources you are praising have been used against Blacks. @Stefanyou are correct it is about Biden and his continuing a process that has been detrimental to the Black Community. You would have been better off pointing out that this was nothing new and was carried out by previous Administrations.

  2. @Troymy inability to convince you doesn’t make my assertion false. I stand by my statement. He is an advocate of Killing Cops. Prove to me he isn’t. You can not produce any evidence where he condemns those who advocate killing police and use him as justification. I see supporting cop killers as evidence of calling to kill police. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/colin-kaepernick-mumia-abu-jamal-release/ And there’s this https://www.westernjournal.com/kaepernick-plan-police-bad/ BTW the snobbery you and @Stefan display is beneath both of you. It seems you both fail to glean the points being raised and digress from the thread topic.

  3. Again, I'm elated that Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson has been nominated to SCOTUS. I'm not concerned about who Judge Jackson is married to but more interested to see what Justice Jackson will do on the bench once confirmed. I seriously doubt that a Justice Jackson will be anything like the black fella currently taking up a seat on the bench.

  4. The last trilogy of "Planet of the Apes" is among my favorite sci-fi films.

  5. @nelsRead the above and take all of your shallow pretensions of being an astute intellectual and shove 'em. Any ideal you embrace or any characterizations you make are diminished by your obvious lack of judgement and absence of mental acuity. Youi aren't even an impressive troll.

  6. @Troy Thank you. I love Sci Fi movies, but tend to shy away from horror flicks. I have several favorites: "The Day the Earth Stood Still" (1951) with Michael Rennie as alien visitor Klaatu and Patricia Neal who ran a Washington. D.C., rooming house he stayed in. It was an eye opener for that decade's fear of atom bombs for sure. The remake got the casting of Keanu Reeves as Klaatu right. But the remake's portrayal of Gort, was childish. "Tron" (1982) About a human beamed into a 1980's video game. I do not understand why "Black Panther" is considered Sci Fi. It's more of a superhero movie. But it was great. "Logan's Run" (1976) Good premise, clunky dialogue. In a perfectly designed city under a dome, no adult lives past 30 in this artificial, but colorful world. Bargain basement special effects. Why did I like it? The film's unlikely star and the reason for Logan to go on the run is a gleaming metallic-like cyborg who calls himself "Box." Roscoe Lee Brown played this crazed ice castle robot to perfection and after one gets past the "Box" scene, the logic of the movie holds up. "Contact" "Independence Day" "A.I." "The Matrix" "Inception" "Gravity" "Edge of Tomorrow" "Interstellar" "Soylent Green" and the original and remake of "Invasion of the Body Snatcher" are great films.

  7. Sci-fi may be my favorite film genre. There are so many that I enjoyed. Generally the first film in the most popular franchises (The Matrix, Predator, Aliens, Star Wars, Star Trek, Terminator, etc) as well as one offs like Ex Machina are films I enjoyed I have never seen an alien, as far as I know. I do believe there is intelligent extraterrestrial life. I would absolutely pay to board a UFO and go to another planet especially one with superior technology (and hopefully behavior). From the link you provided @Stefan I discovered Son Of Ingagi (1940): the first all-Black horror film. I will watch this on my TV later -- Thanks! I watched most of the other films, most of them I did not care about very much. I did enjoy seeing Black Panther, but thought The Matrix was a far better film.

  8. You are really scraping the bottom of the Crab Barrel. This is projection to the extreme. Most Black Trump supporters are like most Christians and Conservatives identifying as Americans. We would fall in the ideological camp of integration and full participation in the American Dreams as citizens of the country. We recognize the hardships Blacks have faced, but choose to focus on what we have done and can do. We are not idol worshippers or people who focus on pragmatism not opportunism. Why would we support Trump? 1. Trump has had a long business history filled with spectacular successes and failures. As anyone who has achieved anything realizes failure is a necessary component of success. 2. He make a distinction of Americans not based on race. His distinction was Citizens and unlawful entrants. 3. Crime has plagued many communities. We don’t like treated as criminals or looked upon as such. Hence Law and Order is a fundamental value. 4. Education and Upward Economic Mobility is another core value. We see that school choice may offer a solution to better education and financial situation. We generally bear no ill will anyone, but we will unreservedly destroy those who attack us. Restraint is also a core value is why we don’t launch into more fruitless values. As long as you continue to try to define others, you miss opportunities to advance everyone. I hope this response was long enough to meet your expectations @Stefan
