  1. i find it disturbing that no other group of men is being chastised into voting for a particular candidate. Nobody is telling [insert race/ethnicity here] men for whom they should cast their vote. For some reason, Democrats are imploring Black folks to vote for them. Interestingly, Democrats aren't offering Black folks anything in return for their vote. The insults and fear-mongering of Orange Julius returning to the White House and Project 2025 aren't going to work on some Black voters this time around.
  2. No bias. My points were: 1) America isn't responsible for Black women getting pregnant. 2) What kind of parent allows their child to go to Diddy camp? It's similar to the R. Kelly situation. Some of of the parents knew their daughters were with him. Yet, they did nothing to get them back. In fact, some of the parents even took money and remained silent. Where are their parents? Why did the Black girl get pregnant? Therein lies the reason everyone isn't qualified to be a parent. No reason or excuse that a child should be hated by the people who created them. That level of discipline is missing in most dysfunctional situations. The question is why are the families broken. I'm waiting to read how America is still responsible for broken Black families. Like every other group of people, Black folks make a decision to bump and grind and get pregnant. Nobody is forcing Black folks to break up after the fun is done. Black parents can follow Al Green's lead and "let's stay together".
  3. We know what she represents as soon as her mouth opens. We shouldn't be surprised who follows her. She's a clown. I found it totally ridiculous that Usher and Bieber were placed in Diddy's care as young boys. America isn't forcing Black women to have children to raise by themselves. We need some personal responsibility and accountability. A little family planning goes a long way too. Diddy won't get a life sentence. They didn’t want to give him bail but he's worth too much to sit behind bars for too long. They're trying to make him sweat.
  4. https://www.cnn.com/2024/10/04/politics/barack-obama-kamala-harris-campaign-events/index.html Former POTUS Obama and former FLOTUS Obama will be campaigning for VP Kamala Harris in battleground states over the next 27 days. Surely, the Democratic party were strategic in how they would bring out the big guns. I just hope that VP Harris doesn't lose the election. Otherwise, they might try to claim too many Black folks were working on her behalf.
  5. Glad brotha @Troy is safe and sound down there in FL. Saw a few folks on the news who were in the path of the hurricane and determined to stay put anyway. I wonder if any of them ended up in the death toll.
  6. White supremacists usually break their tools when they no longer have use for them. Machiavelli called it the art of the double-cross. Diddy's offspring are mostly adults and every last one of them is rich. They don't need grandma to take care of them. In fact, Diddy's sons were probably at the freak-offs. We cannot pin these allegations on America being sick and racist. Diddy brought this on himself believing he was untouchable and above the law.
  7. It's extremely commonplace for White folks to buy firearms for their kids. Diddy was close to a billionaire. Nobody in his circle or outside could tell him anything. He brought this problem on himself full stop. Again, Diddy overcame any obstacles he faced to become a very successful businessman. He decided to do whatever he did to bring himself to this point. Our history should never be erased. It's important for people to know their history in part to avoid repeating it. Another reason that history is important. People need to know what they've done and why they owe. Yep. I'm aware that Black students are often under-performing on standardized tests compared to whites and Asians. I believe it's a multilayered problem that includes integration, welfare, broken families, lack of economic opportunities and a lack of personal responsibility and accountability to name a few. Family, environment and culture are the 1st instructors in human lives. The system of racism white supremacy rewards bad behavior in an effort to put Black folks in prison. The Greeks and Roman were serious when it came to alternative sexuality. History is important to understanding how we got here and what we need to do in order to correct it.
  8. Right. That 9'-13' foot storm surge would have been a real problem.
  9. The only reason they're beginning to hold white parents responsible is public outcry for accountability. Entertainment and celebrity has been a cesspool of debauchery for many decades. That's like saying elders should be running around on college campuses keeping the young folks from partying and hazing each other. Not going to happen. Adult are responsible for their own behaviors. It's a part of being grown. Chattel slavery isn't the reason for dysfunction among the current generation of Black folks. However, the system of racism white supremacy plays a role in it. Diddy who was raised without a father became a billionaire. Believing that he's above the system of racism white supremacy, his addictions and desires are leading to his downfall. Homosexuality has been around forever. Black men do not have a monopoly on it.
  10. According to news reports, hurricane Milton made landfall as a category 2 storm. Not the category 5 that would have been much worse. Mother Nature has an interesting way of playing with scientists. Their models and predictions sometimes fall flat. Better to be safe than sorry though. I hope everyone remains safe throughout the hurricane season.
  11. White supremacists always demonize the parents of Black people even when their offspring are adults. OTOH, when white boys become mass shooters, they don't want to hold the parents accountable. Those friends are hangers on who benefit from the money, s8x and everything else that comes with being around a celebrity. The elders in the community are nowhere around celebrity parties and other shenanigans. Besides, Diddy and the rest of these people are adults. The narrative wants us to believe Black children who grow up without a father are vulnerable to dysfunction. What makes the Black children different from fatherless children of other races? There's no shortage of Black men serving as role models to Black boys from athletics to academics. The media wants us to believe there is a ton of dysfunction among our people. Homosexuality is a choice that people make at some point in their lives. Black folks are no different when it comes to joining the alphabet soup community.
  12. That's a d8mn good question.
  13. Correct. VGQ. You know the dealy-o.
  14. No, I don't have a problem voting against someone who wants to take the country down a rathole. I'm just wondering how that candidate became a choice in the 1st place. Surely, there are more qualified folks in the US.
  15. @Troy, agreed on all accounts. The country will decide next month whether or not it's ready for 1st female POTUS of Asian-Indian descent.
  16. It's a sad state of affairs when our POTUS election comes down to voting against a candidate instead of electing someone who will most effectively lead the country.
  17. https://www.cornelwest2024.com/ballotaccess According to the website, Dr. West is on the ballot in 15 states, write-in (23), no-write in (8) and pending (3). Dr. West has chosen Dr. Melina Abdullah as VP running mate. Theirs is probably the 1st ticket with two Ph.Ds on it. Of course, under the 2-party system Dem and GOP, Dr. West's campaign gets little or no media coverage. Remains to be seen if Dr. West will continue his aspirations by running for another political office. He could also start a non-profit. Regardless, I'd imagine Dr. West will continue to lecture and advocate for the poor and working class.
  18. Cancer is thousands of years old. Same goes for other incurable diseases. Man didn't make them. The Supreme Being created diseases too. Programmed humans such that one way or another most humans won't live to be 100 years old. Magic contracted HIV in the 1980s. He had enough money to get treatments that may have been experimental at the time. Eventually, scientists came up with drugs that prevented HIV from becoming full blown AIDs. Nowadays, there are drugs that prevent folks from contracting HIV. Still, there's supposedly no cure for HIV. Money in maintenance. Most types of cancer cannot be prevented. Same goes for other incurable diseases. Wealthy people die from incurable diseases too. Nobody is exempt. Humans do feed information into AI. However, no one human can digest everything we know in terms of data. But, a computer can run millions of permutations based on data input to compile different scenarios that humans may not have considered. AI is still just another tool that could make humans more efficient. It has been said that other folks have come up with cures for diseases but they haven't been *allowed* to bring to market. Even if these cures existed, wealthy people would be on the 1st thing smoking to get treatment instead of making funeral arrangements.
  19. Absolutely. Black shouldn't *trust* any of them folks. They may not like it but they'll do whatever it takes to get his money. I certainly don't get my info from dudes on the internet. I'm referring to real life folks I know personally.
  20. Black folks have been making moves post-integration. Unfortunately, whatever we come up with gets stolen before we can codify, monopolize and capitalize on it.
  21. According to what you believe, I can see why you chose FDR as favorite POTUS.
  22. AI is infiltrating the arts too. As a creative person, I will never ask AI to generate my music. Every time, I'd much rather sit down at the piano and bang it out myself. That is the fun and magic of being a musician.
  23. Black men with means can travel and do their thing without getting jammed up one way or another. Again, it's usually when a rich Black man p*sses off white supremacists that he has *problems* with them. White folks will let Black folks believe they can do the same things as them until it's time to call in the markers. Black people should never think or believe that any amount of money frees them from the system of racism white supremacy.
  24. @Pioneer1, Garrett Morgan, a Black man invented the gas mask.
  25. Correct. Humans have been conditioned to make the compromise of being comfortable instead of cured. Supposedly, there's no cure for cancer. Researching it has not produced any results yet. No amount of money solves ALS or any other debilitating disease. No cure. Medication. Saving money is one way of accumulating it. But, the objective of having money is being able to afford taking care of needs as they arise. Not needing anything makes it moot. Treatment and best care is the most people can expect especially when it comes to incurable diseases. To date, there's not one human walking around with an artificially generated organ (lung, liver, kidney, heart, etc.). Weird science project at best. Nothing curative for humans. The technology isn't there yet. AI may be able to compile enough information to fill in the blanks of human knowledge and understanding. Sure. Regardless of whether it's existing technology or future, always follow the money. It's not in the cure. Maintenance.
