They don't care how their body is made or how they look...someone told them they should be able to wear anything and get respect and admiration.

@Pioneer1, yeah, regardless of race or gender, I call funny built folks BMWs (Body Made Wrong). 😁

i remember when it was a sport to make fun of people who wore high-water pants and ill-fitting clothes. Overweight folks caught the blues.

Of course, nowadays it is politically incorrect to shame folks for the way they look and/or dress.

With that pass, folks are running  around out in these streets looking a hot mess. 😎

We have been infiltrated by the CCP and at the rate we are going

we’ll probably be invaded by them in the near future.

People who aren’t paying attention are in for a rude awakening.

Having a weak bumbling idiot in the White House is part of their plan.

IMO, it is impossible for China to invade America in the traditional sense.  But, they have already been here for several decades in everything Americans consume.

China has zero interest in invading America from a military perspective.  The arrangement they have works just fine as long as both sides are getting the desired results in terms of products, services, money, power, etc.   That goes for the smoke and mirror games being played on the entire planet.

The person sitting in the White House is just a figure head representing America at the seat of the table in global affairs. They're not running the real show. 😎

Besides that, the Chinese are supposedly collecting U.S. citizens DNA (from COVID tests and other sources)

in order to develop specialized bioweapons to attack us some more.

I find it interesting that China is used as the biggest labor force on the planet.  Yet, the same paymasters are trying to make China a boogeyman too.  It makes about as much sense as calling a woman a whore after sleeping with her.

Now, I do believe China is prepared to protect itself if/when the paymasters decide they don't want to play fair. The Chinese wrote the book on art of war.  Knowing that it would be suicide to go against the greatest military power on the planet using traditional military hardware and personnel, the Chinese are prepared to go for the jugular vein.

Chemical, biological and technological weapons level the playing field.  These agents can be deployed from anywhere at any time.  Hacking into computer systems and spreading a virus are dry runs.

The Chinese have shown how they can take down the planet if things get too far out of hand.  Now, they've got folks scrambling around trying to figure out how to protect themselves from attacks they cannot see.

The paymasters have the balancing act of making money and watching their backs while keeping the slaves, er, workers in check.  😎

I remember when people dressed up to get on a plane.

I remember when people used to dress up or dress their children up to go to the doctor's office or go to the hospital to visit a sick loved one.

It's become more casual now but I think the black church is the final frontier where black folks still dress to impress.

However, I see some brothas wearing suits that look too small and too tight. Also, they must be modeling socks because the pants stop above their ankles.😁

Some of our sistas  aren't fashionistas either. I blame Rainbow or the equivalent store selling cheap azz clothes. They'll buy a size too small which makes a fitted dress look like a sausage casing. 😁

I guess the wack fashion sense I see sticks out like a sore thumb because I love to dress and stay fly.

So, I just shake my head especially when I see folks close to my age who clearly should know better.😎

Yessir. This is awesome. It's the kinda thing that makes me proud of us. Literally paying it forward. 😎

Within a system of racism, class or status might make black folks feel better about themselves depending on where they reside within the structure until they come across racist(s) to whom none of it matters. They only see one thing.  It kinda reminds me of n8gglets who come home and brag about running the prison

But even in The Shawshank Redemption....Andy was able to secure some favors for himself by getting in good with the Warden and writing to the governor.

Even in GREATER confinement...there are status levels that will dramatically increase one's comfort.

Sure. Yet, no amount of comfort absolves the fact that they're still in prison.

But, the idea of being comfortable while imprisoned is a case study in itself. More than likely, it runs in parallel with Stockholm syndrome.

IMO, that is the greatest accomplishment of the system of racism. Folks believing they are free on a mental an/or physical level especially when buoyed by the illusion of class and/or status.

Hopefully it never happens but when the police pull you over while driving a Bentley in the Hamptons and says, boy, get yo azz outta the car....class and/or status goes outta the window. 😁😎

This is great news and I look forward to all of your interesting topics!!!

    @Pioneer1

Actually, 'twas I who accused you all of commiserating and complaining

when the two of you were moaning about how Blacks don't own anything.

    Thanks @Mzuri.🙂

Until black folks pool their resources in order to own major institutions, franchises, corporations,  etc., I'm gonna keep calling it out.

For example, my money sits in a AfroAmerican owned bank. It  allows them to make loans to our folks.  We need more ownership.😎

  8. Thanks to those who've been kind enough to initiate threads on my behalf @Cyniqueand @Pioneer1

Brotha Troy has provided me with a canvas and wings to paint and soar respectively.

I've added my 2 cents to enough threads already for regulars and lurkers alike to read how I roll.

I've already been accused of commiserating and complaining and also of being sexist,  ageist, outdated. That's fine. I'm a big dude and Teflon too.

I'm gonna keep calling balls and strikes as I see it with a sense of humor. I know all medicine ain't for all patients. Let's get it.😎

But people who make their living in social service and all of its spin offs find excuses for those they serve.  Helping the needy  is an industry unto itself.

    So true.

Without helpless and needy folks, unemployment would be through the roof if fewer social services were required.

Social services are necessary but there's a sh8tload of people gaming the system. 😎

The last time i checked, ProfD was a grown man, intelligent and capable of speaking for himself...

This is a dialogue between me and him and when he is ready to speak for himself, it will begin.  Just because you 2 have to prop each other up doesn't mean he can't stand on his own 2 feet.  If he doesn't feel the need to justify himself, that's fine.

    @Cynique, thanks for the compliment.😁

I've already addressed the post of concern.  While I'm not disrespectful of my sistas and brothas, I reserve the right to clown them. Of course, the joke won't be funny to everyone. Nonetheless, a sense of humor is good for the soul. 😎

@ProfDWell, now that you've settled into the flow, what do you think of the cast of characters on this board? I'm sure you've bonded with some and have your favorites and are maybe even a little surprised that we are not all one big happy family who march in lock step.  I'm wouldn't be surprised if you were somewhat disillusioned with me. And, i must say that, I was a little disappointed in the salacious advice you gave to young men on the "Unsolicited Advice" thread, especially since you ordinarily deplore disrespectful behavior on their part.   I didn't get what TV show inspired your malicious sexist, ageist, degrading ridicule of black women.  But, apparently nobody else had a problem with this because they all thought it was funny.

@Cynique, I appreciate the cast of characters on the board and respect everyone's contribution and point of view. I do not have any favorites.

@Cyniqueand @Mzuri, I realize my joke in the "unsolicited advice" might not have been funny to everyone. I guess no amount of emojis reflect humor and/or the attempt. Duly noted.

Bear with me as I continue learning the boundaries of the discussions here. I will be more mindful of the commentary I provide as well. 😎

As sweet as Chevdove is, you should go back and look at some of our previous exchanges and how vicious she can be when she felt her beliefs are threatened.

🤷‍♂️ What can I say?   I love debating.

    It's in my nature.

Yeah, I figured as much. I've read through some of the old threads. The subject is a great source of entertainment. 😁

I'm jealous of religion to the extent that I wish AfroAmericans would put as much effort into building our infrastructure as they do in their beliefs. 😎

Yep. I see the ads and figured it was par for the course in maintaining the site.

I understand the mixed feelings. But, every little bit helps as long as you don't have to dress like Wanda. 😁😎

  15. Pioneer, rest assured that a lazy and stagnant business won't last very long. 😁

Most business cards aren't worth the paper on which they're printed. I toss a lot of them into the garbage can. 😁

    .

Whether it's brick and mortar or an online business, there are costs associated with running it.

Opening a McDonald's franchise used to require about $100k in start-up money. It's probably closer to a half a million now.

Granted, nobody's gonna open a food service business online but instead of looking for a brick and mortar building, some folks will start with a food truck. They can do pretty well showing up in busy work areas around lunch time. Same food. Different delivery model.

Again, it goes back to vision and scale. When the business requires moving into a building the owner(s) will know. 😎

The late Dr. Frances Cress Welsing said black folks shouldn't procreate until they're at least 30 years old and married. That would definitely solve a few problems and prevent crimes.

I remember she said that often.

I notice that children who come from older parents tend to be better adjusted than children who come from teenaged parents.
This isn't ALWAYS the case, but it is in the majority of cases.

Older parents usually have gotten their "mistakes" out of the way early so they know what they're doing by the time they get into their 30s.

IMO, maturity and a real desire to work together and procreation agreed upon usually leads to a better outcome.  People turn out better when they're created out of some kind of love and raised with it.

Those oops babies have a 50/50 chance of getting the love and support needed to become well adjusted and productive members of society.

Most dysfunctional people can be traced back to the crash dummies who created them. 😁😎
