  1. Guns don't become deadly until they are in the hands of someone on a mission to take lives and/or do damage.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  2. Shooter walks up on the scene with an AR-15. People see him climbing up on a roof. They try to alert police of the suspicious character. Cops do nothing. The building was 400 feet away from where former POTUS was speaking. There is Secret Service and snipers everywhere. The media is fumbling all over itself trying to figure out and explain how this shooting could have happened. They don't want to talk about how there are too many guns in America. On one hand, the media is praising the swift action of law enforcement. OTOH, they don't understand how someone could get within 400 feet of carrying out an assassination. With more street cred as a convict and now grazed by a bullet, it will be interesting to see how folks rally around the orange fella in November.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  3. https://www.axios.com/2024/07/14/trump-assassination-attempt-martyr-rnc After an assassination attempt on the life of former POTUS Orange Julius, both political parties are united in condemning the attack. The former POTUS was grazed on the ear, an attendee was was killed, 2 other folks were injured and the shooter was taken out by snipers. Over the next few days, weeks and months, we'll see how the temperature changes in terms of political rhetoric leading up to the election. As I've often mentioned, the political parties are two-sides of the same coin when the rubber meets the road.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  4. The game that is American politics has left us with two old geezers running for POTUS. The Dems didn't promote any candidates during their primary to oppose the incumbent POTUS. Funny thing is POTUS PJB ran as a 1-term bridge to the future. Now, he wants to finish whatever he started. After 50+ years in the back, he's enjoying the power seat. POTUS PJB has raised over $200 million for the Democratic party. That money helps a lot of people. Especially down ballot. After his terrible debate performance, a few Dems leaders have mentioned that POTUS PJB should consider stepping aside. Well, after the solo news conference he gave yesterday, let's see if those same Dems will do an about face and change their tune. I believe the Dems will keep POTUS PJB propped up to hopefully get re-elected. Behind the scenes, they will have some weird succession plan in the event that POTUS cannot finish the job. The 2024 POTUS choices are set: 1) Incumbent POTUS propped up by Botox shots, stem cell injections and other treatments who feels entitled to collecting all of the money from his 50+ years of gov't service. Setting up his family to be financially comfortable for generations. 2) Former POTUS Orange Julius who is a narcissistic, megalomaniac, neo-fascist, racist convict who wants to turn America into an autocracy. This clown wants to rule like a dictator and roll America back 100 years. Half the country is riding with him and fine wirh it. The choices are clear. Only thing left for voters to do is hold their noses on election day.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  5. POTUS PJB is the better choice over former POTUS Orange Julius. It's unfortunate for America, a country of 335 millions folks, that these two old dudes are the only choices we have to lead the country. Same here. I've also got an escape plan if sh8t goes sideways here.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  6. POTUS PJB just had a 50-minute news conference. Other than saying VP Trump instead of VP Harris, POTUS handled himself very well. Even got a little feisty at times. He did a lot better than his debate performance.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  7. POTUS PJB did very well hosting the NATO summit this week. He was engaged and alert by reports. POTUS PJB did misspeak introducing President Zelensky as President Putin. Quickly corrected himself. Otherwise, it was an excellent show of leadership in diplomacy for POTUS with the media bullseye on his back.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  8. As a form of damage control after his debate performance and questions about his cognitive abilities, Democrats are running around giving interviews to support POTUS PJB. Yesterday, during an interview Rep. Maxine Waters (CA) mentioned that POTUS PJB has given Black folks the following: 1) 1st Black female Vice President 2) HBCU funding 3) jobs 4) reduced medical costs 5) alternative to former POTUS Orange Julius Rep Waters says for these reasons, Black folks should stick with and vote for POTUS PJB in November.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  9. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/biden-tells-congressional-black-caucus-im-disappoint/story?id=111764987 POTUS PJB has picked up a vote of confidence from the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) . Let's see if CBC will be able to corral and rally younger folks to tow the party line. Also, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez aka AOC has talked to the POTUS. He's assured her that he's fine. So, as far as AOC is concerned...."this matter is closed". She's riding with POTUS in November.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  10. https://www.reuters.com/world/us/biden-nato-summit-chance-show-voters-allies-he-can-still-lead-2024-07-09/ NATO summit is being held here in Washington, DC. POTUS PJB has pledged more suppprt to Ukraine believing they will drive Russia out of their country. Supposedly, POTUS did well reading the teleprompter today. Hopefully, meetings with world leaders went just as well. This is not a good time for POTUS to appear to be slipping in any way. Give him the Botox shots and stem cell injections.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  11. Neither the incumbent POTUS nor Democratic elected officials are doing much to keep Orange Julius from getting back to the White House. In fact, the GOP has gone relatively silent in allowing Dems to implode under the embarrassment of the POTUS debate performance. Right now, it seems a convicted felon stands a good chance of becoming POTUS.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  12. https://www.cnn.com/2024/07/08/politics/video/white-house-press-briefing-tense-exchange-biden-neurologist-digvid On cue, here's WH Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre trying to do damage control regarding POTUS mental and physical fitness. interesting that she still hasn't figured out how to remain cool. Guess it's harder to do when selling hot BS.๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  13. Surely, we could do much better but I don't believe there is a desire. I think the status quo is desired and direction is by design. Half the country seems to be perfectly fine with it too.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  14. The G7 and G20 essentially function as a global government. These countries led by the United States of America make decisions that control power and resources throughout the planet. The great experiment that is the United States of America even with a clowm or stumbling old man as POTUS, remains the most powerful nation on the planet. The checks and balances in place keep the US government functioning at a very high level.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  15. The real question becomes 1) who or what is the enemy and 2) to whom is the enemy. America as a democracy has been a facade for quite some time now. America could become more more white nationalist under GOP rule. IMO, many who claim to be white liberals (moderate to right of center) will be perfectly fine with a neo-fascist country as long as it's led by a white man. Red and Blue are the smoke screens when it comes to running the country but the real color is green. When it comes to politics watch their hands and follow the money.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  16. IMO, America will not collapse in the near future. There's enough checks and balances in place for America to maintain its super power status. If all else fails...America has the nuclear capability to destroy the planet. Again, the most privileged folks won't let that happen. The political parties have the luxury of nominating dudes who would not have even been in the running 20 years ago.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  17. The country has been divided since 2016. Despite winning the election in 2020, the Dems are still spineless. The insurrection of January 6th put an exclamation point on how far the right is willing to go in order to uphold their agenda. The upcoming election will be interesting on several levels. Many Black folks will be voting for the couch in 2024 for the reasons mentioned above and most importantly....because Dems haven't done anything for us. No longer is it feasible to just vote for the lesser of two evils. Dems need to offer Black folks something tangible for their votes. Interesting that Robert DeNiro would be encouraging POTUS PJB to step down when he was endorsing him during the protests on college campuses a month or so ago. Project 2025 showed up just in time to scare Black folks into voting Democrat. The Dems best chance of keeping the White House in 2024 is 1) coming up wirh a stronger candidate and 2) offering Black folks reparations. Otherwise, I see America headed in the direction white folks want it to go in order to maintain the system that benefits them the most.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  18. Rest assured that you are not missing anything if she hasn't showed up on your radar. Comedic source material comes from everywhere. Her press briefings contain enough fodder.๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  19. Karine Jean-Pierre has been White House Press Secretary since May 2022. Karine Jean-Pierre's press briefings look like an exercise in uneasiness as she tries to sell the soap for POTUS PJB. Of course, it's interesting that media is quick to mention that Jean-Pierre is the 1st Black and openly LGBTQ+ WH Press Secretary. There will be less stressful jobs whenever she gets tired of tap dancing for the administration.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  20. I'm wondering what it will take for the Dems to put up a fight for anything. The GOP doesn't hesitate to push through their agenda when they're behind the wheel.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  21. Absolutely. Healthy debate is great. Keeps the mind sharp.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  22. https://www.npr.org/2024/07/01/1198912764/consider-this-from-npr-draft-07-01-2024 No surprise. In a 6-3 decision, SCOTUS gives former POTUS presidential immunity. More than likely, cases brought against him will be dropped. If he's re-elected, he'll be able to have DOJ drop the charges or pardon himself. Either way, if Dems thought courts cases would turn the orange man into Tang kool-aid, it's not working. Former POTUS Orange Julius aka Teflon Don is still skating and skirting the judicial system. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  23. Propping up a POTUS in mental and physical decline would be on par with 1) no reparations for Black folks, 2) never repearling anti-Black crime bills, 3) no Black Hate Crime legisation, 4) never codifying Roe v Wade and 5) surrendering the Supreme Court to conservatives to name a few. All things considered, it seems the Dems are fine with letting it happen. Of course, it's my belief that both political parties are two sides of the same coin in the grand scheme of things. My dad passed away a little over a month ago. He liked to watch MSNBC. During one of our last conversations while he was in the hospital, he mentioned the country was going downhill. I told him no to worry because it would not make a difference especially for him. The outcome of the election won't have a long term on anyone as long as folks can anesthetize themselves with gross consumerism and materialsm.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  24. The rationale I trot out is not intended to be a one size fits all. It applies to whoever feels most comfortable wearing the shoes.๐Ÿ˜‰ Right. A discussion forum should be about a dialog and excchange of opinions, ideas and views.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  25. Black folks have been loyal to one party for decades. Have received nothing much in return. Really need to come up with tangibles i.e. special interests to which politicians can be held accountable.๐Ÿ˜Ž
