  1. @Troy and @Pioneer1, unanswerable questions require more thought and usually result in confusion. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  2. No way Georgia allows Mumble Mouth Walker to become a Senator. It's ridiculous that the race is even close. Glad I don't live down there. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  3. The thread title is misleading. We may never know the truth whatever that means regarding the virus; response and outcomes. The POTUS can only share as much information as he's provided and/or allowed to disclose. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  4. The downside is that folks shouldn't go hungry or starve because they can't afford food especially concerning how much we throw away. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  5. Going from 8 billion people down to under 1 billion in 3 - 7 years would require a drastic effort. The pandemic didn't even kill a billion people worldwide. However, along the lines of a 10-15% percent reduction, getting the population down from 8 billion to 6.8 billion over a 10 year period seems more plausible. Of course, it's all speculative until folks start dropping like flies. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  6. That's right. Eliminating the population would be 1) bad for business (workers) and 2) destroy a constant source of entertainment. A population reduction somewhere around 10-15% is the manageable goal. That means about 1.2 billion people gotta go. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  7. @Pioneer1, I don't dispute the Willie Lynch Willie Lynch letter either. It definitely explains our behavior towards each other. Unquestionably, Individual AfroAmericans have been thriving and surviving for a very long time. There is no shortage of success among us. The collective I'm referring to ties back to code. It would work like a religion in terms of 1) what we're expected to do and 2) how we treat each other. In order for a handful of us to DO IT...someone has to step up to the plate. To build anything requires a vision and leadership and followers. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  8. Billionaire Bill Gates had been talking about viruses and the need for vaccines back in 2010. I don't believe it's because he's the 2nd coming of Nostradamus either. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  9. Because they can be so divisive, politics and religion are off limit topics of discussion in workplace settings too. The funny part is being able to tell which way folks lean both in politics and religion in an unspoken way.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  10. @Pioneer1, whether it is fictional or not, the "Willie Lynch Letter" provides the explanation for everything we need to know about why it's been harder for AfroAmericans to trust each other and become self-sufficient. It's by design that we have been divided and conquered. Most groups of people have ethnic and cultural ties that bind them. That was stripped away from AfroAmericans. Beyond our skin color, it seems we don't have anything to claim. As a result, many AfroAmericans operate on the belief that the white man's ice is colder. If/when AfroAmericans wake up and realize their supremely given gifts, talent, intelligence, knowledge, skills and abilities, I believe they will come together to pool resources and build wealth for future generations. Personally, I may not live long enough to see it come to fruition. But, the cool thing is that that we live in advanced society technologically that it it can happen very fast and exponentially.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  11. Don't waste your time waiting on it. The plan was to shorten life span. That's why records are sealed for 75 years.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  12. I think you may be referring to George Conway and his wife Kellyanne Conway. They're on opposite sides of the aisle politically.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  13. It was mentioned in another thread but here's my PSA.๐Ÿ˜ As the pandemic tries to subside and many folks are comfortable with getting vaccinated, it looks like the WHO (World Health Organization) is throwing a new virus on us. Hot off the press...Monkeypox is becoming a growing health concern. Right now, there are close to 17,000 cases of monkeypox worldwide. Nevermind there are approximately 8 billion people on the planet. The US has ordered 2.5 million doses of monkeypox vaccine. As of today, there are approximately 2,500 cases in the US. i wonder what they know that we don't about this virus. It's been around for a long time. All of sudden it's supposedky spreading like a brush fire. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  14. No problem. I'll stop shooting at those clay targets. It was fun while it lasted.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  15. Just like religion, political views could have an impact on how two Black folks approach a relationship. The more interesting aspect of it is when two folks are already in a relationship and one of their political views changes. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  16. Agreed. I've worked with a whole lot of white folks over 3 decades. They're definitely not intellectually superior to Black folks or any other group of people. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  17. It's all good. We've got a bead on him. Pull. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  18. Yep. The same way white folks romanticize "Bonnie & Clyde" and "Kill Bill", AfroAmerican men could relate to "Set It Off". ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  19. See, that's just it....Black folks have to embrace entrepreneurship and self-sufficiency. We can do better than relying on a paternalistic hand out or up. Black folks are intelligent enough to run their own businesses. Back in the 1950s, Berry Gordy started Motown Records which became extremely successful. He laid the blueprint. Early Hip-Hop was independently owned and successfully run by Black folks. Unfortunately, they all eventually cashed out when offered a huge sum of money. Our entrepreneurial foundation remains weak. It's the same situation across the board...entertainers, athletes, small businesses, etc. Many of them refuse to use Black agents and lawyers and/or they sell out to the highest bidder usually a non-Black entity. I've never seen the point in Black folks getting paid to work hard while an agent gets 20% of the earnings to sit around making phone calls *selling* their labor/services. The oldest profession calls it prostitution. There are many similarities considering how often Black folks get screwed in the deal. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  20. @Pioneer1, IQ tests definitely serve a purpose in this *system*.๐Ÿ˜ I believe part of the disservice in our educational system is that it tries to fit everyone in the same box. IMO, beyond basic reading, writing and arithmetic, young people should be educated according to their aptitude and interests. A higher emphasis should be placed on schools for science/math/technology and liberal arts and trade schools. People should be placed accordingly. There are several reasons people under-perform and/or drop out of school. However, I believe if people are placed in an educational environment conducive to their interests and aptitude among similar peers, they will do better. There will always be varying levels of intelligence. A highly functional society can accommodate it too.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  21. IMO, measuring IQ is an exercise in futility. It doesn't take a whole lot to figure out who's most intelligent and vice versa. The real work lies in getting intelligent folks to solve problems and come up with ideas to make our lives better. There's no shortage of human labor. It just needs to be harnessed and used to produce constructive results. The benefit is that folks would feel better about themselves and have less time to indulge in destructive behaviors. Unfortunately, this would lead to a better society. The current system thrives on a certain amount of chaos and confusion. The *smart* people are playing every aspect of human dysfunction like a fiddle. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  22. Considering how others like to *steal* from Black folks, we need to commoditize and sell "When Sheniqua's Attack" like it's an exercise video. Move over Sean T, Sheniqua is coming to the the screen with her hair flying and arms flailing and trance dance. Karen and Becky and Susan are going to eat that sh8t up like Skittles.๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  23. @Cynique, thanks for the compliment. As you already know, I thoroughly enjoy your presence around here too. ๐Ÿค— Overall, I have a blast plopping down in a chair at this coffeeshop and kicking it with the cast of characters. Hilarious. ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  24. Where I come from, AfroAmerican men appreciate women with an edge of aggression or more. It's great to have a woman who's got your back and/or can hold her own if sh8t goes sideways.๐Ÿ˜Ž
