Brotha Del, you're so right. 😁 I'm not high-brow or immune to indulging in mindless entertainment either. I still love certain types of music and movies that aren't overly constructive. But, I like to think that I'm capable of maintaining a balance. Of course, many of us grew up during a time of censorship. There was the FCC and a rating system for content. Our parents kept the Redd Foxx and Millie Jackson records and porn hidden and only listened to and/or watched it when the kids were not around. That old stuff pales in comparison to what is broadcast nowadays. The filters are wide open. A steady dose of negative entertainment is being fed to the masses in order to reinforce stereotypes and dysfunction and also keep folks dazed and confused. IMO, we could more responsible for how black folks are portrayed and exploited in entertainment starting with media platforms within our control. 😎

I haven't read much from his supporters here lately. In fact, you're doing more to keep him relevant around here than anybody else. 😎

You seem to think that if everyone has a gun, America will become a shooting gallery. Nope. I think it will have the opposite effect. People with bad intentions will think twice about harming others if they don't know whether or not that individual is strapped. I also believe that the thought of arming everyone eligible especially people of color will force a change in gun laws. Jedi mind trick.😎

Legal folks are the same people who create obstacles by suppressing, destroying, altering and planting information and manipulating witnesses. It's up to the other legal side to make their case by doing the same thing, digging up information and knowing case law. Then, there are bribes and other back door deals that are made on the golf course. The justice *system* is rigged too. @Stefan, contrary to your opinion, beyond facts and figures, a discussion forum is open to generalization, hyperbole and rhetoric too. I know you would love to moderate the board in such a way as to control the nature of the dialog. Thankfully, @Troy allows us to freely exchange our thoughts, ideas, opinions and jokes too. Otherwise, this place would be bone dry.😎

Unfortunately, dysfunctional entertainment sells whether it's radio, TV, places of worship, social media, etc. Glorifying the most ignorant and negative aspects of society rakes in a lot of dough. The question to ask is why do people have a huge appetite for garbage entertainment. It's the mental equivalent of junk food or the medical equivalent of Flintstones chewable tablets. 😎

By definition, a mass shooting is a single event with 2 or more victims. Most of the shooters are white men. 😎

The Highland Park, IL mass shooter was not a thug by definition. *He* dressed like a woman prior to his killing spree. Owned 5 guns and an assault rifle. No other weapon could kill 7 people and injure 25+ people from a distance.😎

Bad decisions, violence and irresponsible behavior are American problems: I hope these boys weren't horse playing and knocked each other's teeth out. Responsible folks have a place to live and they aren't afraid of the dentist. 😎

While sipping coffee and eating donuts, the FBI should be monitoring assault rifle and ammo sales. Pay attention to the social media profiles of those individuals. They might get a drop on the next mass shooter. 😎

This mass shooter threatened to kill his family. After a mental health evaluation, his daddy still thought it was a good idea to help his son buy firearms. Reads like his parents should be arrested too. 😎

Some black folks aren't built to live among their own kind. Survival and peace of mind could mean changing scenery. I hope that anyone who feels left by the black community will flourish and live their best life in whatever community has adopted and/or embraced them. 😎

Former POTUS Bill Clinton is a very smart man. Just like former POTUS Barack Obama. However, Clinton is the same Arsenio Hall show, saxophone playing, *1st black* POTUS whose administration came up with mandatory minimum sentencing guidelines that disproportionately affected AfroAmerican offenders. Every POTUS has the responsibility of maintaining white supremacy. The smarter ones are the most effective at doing it covertly. 😎

@Stefan, I totally get the gist of your question and understand your opinion of Republicans too. The handful of right-leaning folks on this discussion forum are great for setting up clay targets for shooting practice. But, there's millions of folks beyond this site who's minds are made up that the GOP agenda would make America great again....rollback like Wal-Mart prices. In fact, a super Wal-Mart parking lot would be a good place to set up with a public address system to convince shoppers that their Republican party is full of sh8t. 🤣😎

@Stefan, I did read the Charlotte Observer article. Legal folks can overcome all types of obstacles if/when they are truly interested in the pursuit of justice. There's so much historical evidence surrounding the case sufficient enough to make serving the arrest warrant a slam dunk. But, there's a catch... The reality is that white folks have no interest in pursuing closure in the case. They want time to wash it away like every other murder they've committed against black folks. The woman will not be served with the arrest warrant. Her lying azz will be allowed to die in South Carolina peacefully. That's not emotion. It's a fact.😎

The guy fit the profile of an American mass shooter to the letter. Yet, he still would have slipped through the cracks of the latest gun reform legislation. He's over the age requirement and comes from a well-to-do family. But, the media will keep talking and asking questions about what can be done to stop mass shootings in America. It's simple. Ask white folks to turn in all of their firearms. I'll wait. 😎

Facts. This guy totally fit the profile of an American mass shooter. Loner type. Bought a rifle. Posted weird pictures on social media. No hail of bullets as SWAT chased him down the street. Apprehended without getting shot one time while trying to flee. Black folks are definitely NOT the 1st image that comes to mind when we hear the words mass shooter. It's that white boy. 😎

Politicians aren't working today or any other day this week. But, they've already signed higher priority legislation.😎

Police officers are heavily trained in recognizing threats and when to use deadly force. The rules go out of the window when racist police officers (race soldiers) encounter black folks. In fact, most of the black folks murdered by police were killed by white officers. Yet, white police officers have shown considerable restraint while taking heavy fire from white suspects. I've seen body cam video of white police officers in tears begging white suspects to not make them have to fire their weapon. It's not a compliance issue. It's a color issue. 😎

Yep. Brotha Coleman Young did it right. DC's mayor for life, the late Marion Barry did the same thing. He insured that black folks held a majority of the power positions and jobs in the city. That's how black leadership is supposed to roll. Provide security and protection and pathways to success for our people. As a living witness, I know it can be done. 😎

Yes. I seriously believe the GOP would love to roll America back to a time when white supremacy was overt. I think there's a whole bunch of people willing to take that ride including misguided black folks and other minorities who vote for the GOP. Otherwise, democrats would be winning elections by landslides. 😎

Interesting to celebrate the independence of a country stolen from Native Americans and built on slavery. They died and worked hard without compensation or citizenship.😎

America celebrates its independence from British rule and striking gold through slavery. It has no love for the millions of black folks exploited.😎

It's hard to get the real number of bad cops because they do more than commit murders. They're also involved in illegal gun sales, drug dealing, extortion, etc. 😎
