  1. I knew a White man who drove a Bentley. He parked it in the lot of a shopping mall where he owned a health club. I did work on his wi-fi and network and security cameras. People spend money to play status games with each other. The Laws of Physics do not care. The planet's natural resources are being turned to shit for status games. If money is so important why aren't Black Americans advocating that all Black kids understand accounting?
  2. In what century? I consider the probability of the United States ceasing to exist as a country to by higher than the probability of racism ending. .
  3. It is the kind of effect. What is the relationship between Psychology and Physics? The Laws of Physics are totally incapable of caring about Psychology. But how does cognitive dissonance affect people dealing with the fact of their not understanding Physics. A skyscraper MUST support its own weight throughout its height. So regardless of whether or not a 200 ton airliner could totally destroy a 500,000 ton building in less than 2 hours, what sense does it make for 23 years to go by without "experts" discussing the distributions of steel and concrete down the Twin Towers? Try finding any such data and discussions. I woke up on the morning of 9/12 with one side of my brain going "That's Impossible" and the other side going "What the hell are you talking about". We could see the construction of the Sears Tower from the living room window of the fraternity when I was at the Illinois Institute of Technology. My pledge father was a super senior architect. What I found funny was that all of the architects were more interested in discussing how much money the architectural firm was making than the building. The joke at IIT was "Architects study funny Physics and funny Math". The decisions for the thicknesses of columns and girders would be made by structural engineers not architects. And then the physics of the collapse time would bring in Physicists. But I do not recall any EXPERTS bringing up the Conservation of Momentum in relation to the problem. So the paradigm shift of most people accepting that airliners doing that is flat out impossible would mean what? .
  4. Get lots of Cardinals to flock together.
  5. The Hertz are really being put on the economy. The frequency of opportunities won't go to Zero however.
  6. Any Afrofuturism with realistic science?
  7. Officers above the rank of Major in the DC area should know more about Hegseth than I do. If any of them were to decide to act they would decide what to do about him also. Personally I was thinking about Trump teeing off against an A-10 Warthog on a golf course. Send what is left to Putin. But I was also thinking of a March 1st deadline. I have never been in the military and I am not a White guy so I certainly cannot figure out the dumbness of their thinking.
  8. Just because something is true does not mean that you can get enough information to know that it is true. Just because something is false does not mean that you can get enough information to know that it is false. It is like Donald Rumsfeld said: The unknown unknown is a muthafuka. I think of most information in terms of importance and probability not true and false. "There are lies, damn lies, and statistics." I have seen that most often attributed to Mark Twain but some sources say that is a lie.
  9. "There are Constitutional principles and military regulations that deal with the possibility of a "domestic enemy," even if that enemy is the President. Oath of Office: Every military member swears to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic" not to the President personally. Military Regulations e.g., UCMJ: Military members are required to obey lawful orders and required to disobey unlawful ones. Blind loyalty to a person over the Constitution can itself be a violation."
  10. The officers are sworn to defend the CONSTITUTION. If Donald Trump repeatedly violates the Constitution, are you saying that does not make him a "Domestic Enemy"? I have been talking on BlueSky to former military who served in Desert Storm: "100 days in and Trump has already cracked the Constitution like a pawnshop safe. The problem isn’t just him,it’s the system that let him test every lock and never changed the keys. Authoritarians don’t break democracies overnight they expose how fragile they already were." https://www.democracydocket.com/analysis/president-donald-trump-100-days-assault-democracy/
  11. So the US military needs to figure out what a "Domestic Enemy" is and what strategy to use to deal with IT. The Repugnacans created this situation and the DIMocrats let it happen. Are the White guys in the fancy uniforms up to the challenge now? Milley was telling everyone that Trump was a Fascist 4 years ago. I was thinking something should have happened by March 1st. Is it already TOO LATE to avoid irreparable damage? The whole planet is in uncharted economic waters now. Probably can't even fully undo it.
  12. If you want, and are ready for, over the top weird.
  13. I think some Mad Hacker is after you dude.
  14. Here is documentation of Marx's discussion of depreciation. Each pic combines the title page with the last word in the search. I didn't do anything that I am aware of, but I deleted the post and redid it because the pages were out of order. They are JPEGs, does that matter. 1.78 KB is pretty small. Shouldn't that be MB.
  15. Birds of Corruption flock together. I am still entertained by what the haoles are going to do with Trump. The military obviously doesn't have its act together as much as I hoped it might. Milley told everybody Trump was a fascist 4 years ago. But Hegseth is making a mess in the Pentagon so how pissed are they at Trump. If Trump falls what happens to all of the dominoes? .
  16. MLK got his PhD in theology when he was 25. .
  17. They only made it back down because of gravity. Female drivers! .
  18. I worked for Continental Can Company one summer.
  19. I admit that I find it difficult to imagine what life must be like for 10 year olds today. But surfing the Net does not build a paradigm. It tosses out random bits that do not create a pattern.
  20. If the Idiot Quotient tests and statistics are to be accepted then 75% of the population scores below 111 on the stupid tests. But what if the majority of your time has to be spent sorting through bullshit information trying to find stuff that is useful. Just about everybody has to get tired of that and give up. What does John von Neumann have to do with computers? Just about every one you encounter uses what is called the von Neumann architecture. IBM hired John von Neumann as a consultant in 1951. While I was there I NeVeR saw the term or any mention of him anywhere. In some Computer Science books you will find "Input-Processing-Output" like that explains something. The only good explanations I have seen have been in electronics books but I have not seen one of them use the term "von Neumann architecture". It is like information is scattered around so people can play social games deciding who they want to let into the information network. What does that do for most Black Americans? I must have asked a couple of dozen people what "microcode" was.
  21. We have an Economic Wargame Society with some people deliberately making things unnecessarily complicated and hiding information about it. Increased complexity does mean more things to hide information about. At IBM the word 'benchmark' was not to be found anywhere. I could not tell you the relative performance of different machines that I was trained to repair. I had to write and run my own benchmarks to test a 5110 against a Datamaster 23. How many adults help kids find books that they might LIKE TO READ? What good is forcing kids to read what they Hate? That is why I try to push informative science fiction. Cosmic Computer https://gutenberg.org/ebooks/20727 .
  22. How programmable are children? There is a saying by the Jesuits: "Give me a child until he is SEVEN years old and he is mine for life." How tribal is the culture and how hard does it try to program the kids? Some people are harder to program than others.
  23. The DIMocrats should create an age limit amendment, 75 or less.
